I’m doing good now recovered completely from the injury. I fractured my fibula which runs up my entire leg. No surgery needed unfortunate what happened but great battle. I’m currently training right now to win a state title next season.
It was a titanic battle and extremely hard to watch at the end, seeing your leg buckled under like that. I assumed from the knee brace and the video that it was your knee, but a fracture may be preferable to destroying a knee. Bones heal completely! The road to the top is pocked with setbacks, as any wrestler knows, but you've got state champion written all over you. Best of luck next season.
WOW bruh that's rough! No wonder you were in so much pain. Glad to hear you're healing and training for next season. But the least the other dude could have done was to go over and shake your hand or something. Not very sportsman like. I hope he came up to you afterward.
I was worried about your injury; some are too serious for full recovery. Praise God that you are recovered completely, and are able to train for the future!
Jimmy is such a prick, he just walked away and didn't even turn around to see what's wrong with Scott, although it was obvious that Scott was hurt. Jimmy didn't show any remorse or even a bit of empathy. Bad sportsmanship.
The referee should have stopped the match right away, to prevent further injury to that wrestler. As for the other wrestler, his lack of concern and empathy towards his opponent left a lot to be desired.
Poor referee work, they should have caught that before it escalated to an injury. Screaming in pain, the one ref ignores it while the other player continues with his hold.
You so right. He couldn't hear. Matches are getting too unnecessarily loud. And you can see its hard fo them to hear their reff whistle over another reffs.
I'm confused, they saw you were crying out in pain and they let him continue to pin you anyways as you resisted the full pin at the expense of your Fibula. If you know you are injured why resist the situation and make it almost a career breaking move.
Illegal how? He had his opponent in a perfectly good pinning position. He had no way of seeing Bosse's leg doubled up underneath (a bad leg BEFORE the match...see black knee brace). It's the ref's job to stop a match due to injury and there were TWO refs working the match.
Nothing illegal, he had the arm making it legal. If someone has to forfeit because of injury no matter the score the other wrestler is the wins the match
Looked like perhaps a serious neck injury - the winner didn't seem to care if he was ok, just slapping away at his coaches hands, not good sportsmanship

@@MidwestWrestle I don't think I thanked you for posting Nugent vs. Brower for me. I typed a message and forgot to send it. Thanks, Nima. It was the kind of match I expected it to be.
SIXTY FIVE year olds wrestle? LMAO! I'd pay the price of a New York Yankees ticket to see THAT! There is a REASON guys wrestle when they're young and pretty much stop by mid 20's! LOL
Ha ha. Best leave it to the youngsters. It's the explosive energy they have that makes it exciting. As some comments indicate people would watch more for a laugh, betting whose false teeth would drop out first. I'm all for a laugh but it would be like going to a performance of Swan Lake where all the dancers were elderly!
I know very little about wrestling, JUSR started watched as I do jujutsu now! The boy who got hurt would have won if he didint...right? Don’t understand the rules and points yet but he seemed to be slightly more dominate.
Welcome to the channel, A/T. Unfortunately, it is impossible to know who would have won since anything is possible until the final whistle. Reading some of these comments is a little difficult? the reality in any contact sport is there's a good chance of injury "every time" you participate? it's the last thing anyone wants to see happen but unfortunately, it does!? Glad Scott has recovered/recovering and wish him luck next year! Unless an athlete has a clear history of being and playing dirty, it's really unfair to demonize them in situations like this? Refs and coaches are there for a reason...
Yes injuries happen and that is part of the sport. Sportsmanship is not about just about winning but showing some concern for your opponent when there us an injury. And whether you win or lose a match, your post match actions are the most important part of what is considered good sportsmanship. The audience sees it and will comment. In this case what they saw wasn't good sportsmanship.

Damn these two are seriously built for their weight class WOW!
Was a tough match till the injury!
I am surprised that the DG guy showed no concern for his injured opponent. It is always nice to see good sportsmanship.
Both equally built and equally skilled! A shame the match had to end with injury!
The guy screaming in pain and yet the other continues to hold him and even smiles..
Scott glad you were able to heal without surgery welcome back.
poor little guy, i hope he's fine :(
I feel bad for athletes that get injured doing what they love and what they are good at.
It happens!
Sadly it happens but it comes with the territory sometimes. As a boxer and swimmer it scares me everyday
The guy screaming in pain and yet the other continues to hold him and even smiles..
Good to see Jimmy is still wrestling. Wrestled with him and his brother in HS
Jimmy is such a prick, he just walked away and didn't even turn around to see what's wrong with Scott, although it was obvious that Scott was hurt. Jimmy didn't show any remorse or even a bit of empathy. Bad sportsmanship.
Damn good match, so sad to see it end the way that it did. I ripped my knee ligaments during a match. Man did that suck badly.
Reef was not paying attention. And matches are getting unnecessary louder and louder. They didn't hear him in pain. Reef sucked.
I hope the one that got hurt is doing better now.
The referee should have stopped the match right away, to prevent further injury to that wrestler. As for the other wrestler, his lack of concern and empathy towards his opponent left a lot to be desired.
Yes. Thats right he Smirked. Grinned. Didn't want to let go!!! .
Best wishes to injured wrestler
..
How was he supposed to know the other guy was injured? The smile had 0% to do with hurting the kid and 100% to do with winning a hard fought match.
The pain occurs at the moment of the fibula fracture. The referee could not have done anything to prevent the fracture.
I'm confused, they saw you were crying out in pain and they let him continue to pin you anyways as you resisted the full pin at the expense of your Fibula. If you know you are injured why resist the situation and make it almost a career breaking move.
a fibula fracture in this situation is normally not that serious. Fib fracture are pretty common. I've had 2 myself from skiing.
Unbelievable they gave him the match. And his arrogance even though he may have ended the other wrestlers’ career. Little twerp!
AND he didn't even walk over to Scott and shake his hand or something like that. Not very sportsmanlike, Not cool at all!
Ended the other wrestler's career? How bad was the injury?
What would the reason be for not winning?
Appears "light blue" was smiling big as the other kid was screaming, but kept doing his illegal hold anyway. Not impressed.
Illegal how? He had his opponent in a perfectly good pinning position. He had no way of seeing Bosse's leg doubled up underneath (a bad leg BEFORE the match...see black knee brace). It's the ref's job to stop a match due to injury and there were TWO refs working the match.
is that mcgregor on the 6:35 minets?
OMG! How Scott doing ? Is he gonna be ok?
It was just a fracture. He healed fine--Good as new.
UK teens watching this and thinking ???wtf???? This is just so alien to UK sporting culture.
What do you mean?
@@decrox13 lack of sportsmanship.
Would the refs think that Nugent did the illegal neck hold by accident? I don't know why he won. He had the most points before the injury?

Jimmy looks happy he injured Scott, bet he had a party that night
Thanks
Scott Busse did better in the entire game, dont understand referees decision

Big smile as he sinched the headlock.
What was the injury?
Twisted knee to an already damaged knee, judging by the knee sleeve. Noticed he was limping away.
Ankle but close
Twisted knee or ankle my FOOT! (No pun intended). He fractured his fibula!
