1:03 That is NOT the "original Xbox controller", that is an original Xbox 360 controller, the original Xbox controller was larger, less ergonomic, and had a proprietary connection to the console. However, due to price to performance, and the recons very recent arrival, I still take PowerA Controllers over this thing any day. In time, if the Recon proves to be some miracle of a Controller, then that opinion may change, but I doubt it. Reliability is something no one can speak about with the recon because it's extremely new. Until more people have it in hand, and it's been used thoroughly for months on end by those individuals, there's no way to know
Damn I was looking forward to hearing more about this controller but you lost me at the bumpers. I can’t use a Xbox controller without those iconic bumpers.
Question - I just recently purchased this controller for the Xbox Series S. When I power on the console the controller wont turn on until I unplug and plug back in. I cannot power the console on specifically using the controller. I'm concerned because if I have to unplug and plug back in everytime I feel the integrity of the controller input will fail. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Have you updated it yet?
Same problem....any help?
Two months and the d pad started not to work and it cant be recalibrate
How are the triggers? Does it goes all the way down?
Just bought this one for pc but struggling to set up for Warzone
Idk I had this and it just kept turning off and on randomly and would make a loud ring on the headset
Should have mouse klick triggers. Playing tactical flipped with a xbox controller isnt good for me. Thats why i love the PS4.
Great at 1st with loads of features but after only 1 month I have a wobbly left stick that's drifts everywhere...it seems turtle beach just use cheap crap plastic parts inside their controllers as it happens so much on their new controllers. I used to love this turtle beach controllers but not anymore 😡
Do kontrol freeks work using the controller cause some controllers can't fit it or it comes right off just wondering.
Mine keeps Turn off every time I play Destiny Warzone Cold War on PC
The think is that the paddles does not work correctly
3 months in and my right stick drifts. The Cable port is also super loose -_-
Noob!
How is the headset sound quality and loudness when plugged into the controller?
It's quite good in my opinion. Quality will also depend on the headphone/headset you use.
It's actually about 1-2 decibels louder than plugged directly into the Xbox wireless controller
@@ECPUz I have the sennheiser gsp 600
The sound is really good and the mic monitor is awesome. You can adjust the mic monitor volume as well.
@@ECPUz hi, have you tried how it sounds connecting the official xbox headphones? i have them, along with Dolby Atmos, and the sound is good, but not as impressive as i expected.
I'm almost convinced to buy this controller. Thanks for your video, i liked it :)
anyone know if this works with windows 11. cant imagine why not but thought id ask
Dose anyone know if wireless turtle beach work with this controller, thanks 🙏
Just got one and in the first week it stopped working with my Headset for some reason only one side of my headset works and my headset works fine with my other 2 remotes
Is it worth buying it ?
I thought xbox pads now have a thing that removes the delay, even though they are unwired?? Microsoft did a lot of work on reducing latency on wireless. So no need for wires
Maybe I just don't know what the key difference between this and other controllers is maybe this is designed for pro players I don't know but I've used a lot of controllers in my life lol and I feel that the sensitivity on this controller Goes from 0 to a 100 with barely a touch on the joystick thumbstick and this makes it so that I'm just looking all over the place super fast when I'm trying to play Halo infinite. It's like if I move the thumbsticks a hair out a hair I'll be looking at full speed or moving at full speed in one direction or the other and I feel like it's not supposed to be that way. Sorry but I voice dictated this post.
I have question . on an xbox does all audio go through this ok ? say if im watching netflix can i use this to pipe the audio into the headset ?
Yup. I actually have my headset plugged in my controller when just listening to music aswell. The EQ is actually quite nice on the Third setting or on Super human. Im quite liking it.
Why doesn't switch on automatically?
Does it have to be a turtle beach headset or will it work with any other headsets
My brother bought one, and he is trying to connect it to his PC but no response. Any advice on getting it connected?
Did he fix it?
@@kye3398 thank you so much for replying - he never got it working. The controller must have been defective. He did get another that worked...thanks again!!!!!! Cheers.....
@@scottpowell1867 thank you for replying too! Do you think it's worth buying? I don't desperately need it, but if it's cool to have then I may get one (But my current controller is fine)
I can't get headsets to work on this on Series S...it works just fine on PC. Anybody have any suggestions?
Xbox Recon Controller kept turning off every little while I had mine since 17 th Oct I don't no if it was bad controller from out the box but did replacement so hopfuly next controller I receive is solid controller
If the Controller shuts down (Windows users), turn OFF the Turtle Recons power saving mode through Device Manager. Before that power saving was on, i always have to plug in the usb cable again.
I’m receiving mine today
nice!!
does the mic have a buzzing sound
I've never used Elite Controler, doesn't have a think that tightness the right stick to aim smoother all the time, I use $20 aim assist packs but hopefully won't need them still.
Can you PLEASE explain(to a first-time controller-user) how I can turn down sensitivity on the R-stick(camera-stick)???
I normally play on PC(key/mouse) and bought this, to be able to control/adjust the speed in 'Lawn Mowing Simulator' and now I can control the speed - but only, if I can manage to find the lawnmower!! - for now I got this new problem ..a oversensitive R-stick??!
For the life of me ..even the lightest touch of the R-stick, hurls me into warping-speed for the next galaxy ..at least it feels like that in my stomach!
No matter what I do(updating the controller software/hard-reset ect.) ..I just can't decrease, or normalize the sensitivity on R-stick, to sensible level??
Why doesn't my vibration work on it when connected to my PC? Anyone have a similar issue?
Ask your mother! She knows everything on vibrators. Noob.
Is it more like a PS4 controller? I've just moved from PS4 to Xbox one s and really not liking the controller it's so clicky and noisy not nice and spongy to the touch like the PS4 but I don't wanna waste £130 on the razor or elite controllers and they feel the same
i don't think you can remap the back buttons to "any button" - pretty sure they can't be mapped to the menu buttons, the whole reason I was interested in a new controller :/
stupid question, But i play rocket league where input delay matters. will the whole eq thing it has cause extra input delay over a regular Xbox one controller?
You probably already know this by now but no it doesn't.
I can't hear the in game sounds is this normal i just got it
How to stop R2 Trigger from sticking
Does anyone have a fix to the hissing audio (I use a rig 500 3.5mm headset) idk if it's the headset or the controller
Hi mate currently watching the video awesome video , can this been linked up with the steel series artis 9x?
You can't use the sound features because it is an inline system.
@@peaj4812 what about if it’s wired up too it?
Hey this might be a stupid question, but I’m currently using kontrol freeks on my Xbox controller at the moment and I was wondering if they’d be compatible for this controller
I’m wondering the same thing, can’t play without kontrol freeks anymore.
can i use any USBC with it or is it a specific cord ?
I am intrigued by the sound features, but I saw that most of the consumer reviews are not that positive on this controller (3.7). Most say that it's cheap. Most tech reviewers are on the positive side... Hm...
You know they got paid... but for 60 its better than the original Xbox for sure..
This guy said it wasn't sponsored but I can just tell by some of the things he saying it's a load of shit
wait so can i plug any headseat in the controller?
hey man i am trying to play black ops on pc with my controller... do i have to download software in order for it to work ?
nope, it's just plug and play
Does it have a fast response time for fps?
You did not told us about the feelings about those extra buttons 😕
It's fine. YOu do feel them but they don't feel annoying. It feels natural actually. I was worrying about that myself aswell but its not a bother if you dont use the bottom buttons. But, I do think when you do map the buttons, I feel i would be pressing them by accident.
Will my galaxy kontrolfreeks work on this I use the low rise on the right ?
1:03 That is NOT the "original Xbox controller", that is an original Xbox 360 controller, the original Xbox controller was larger, less ergonomic, and had a proprietary connection to the console. These issues were addressed with the Xbox 360 Controller (which you are holding) by making it more compact & ergonomic as well as giving it USB connectivity.
It's not even a 360 controller, it's an Xbox One controller.
.......
So when you plug headphones into this sucker on PC do you get 192000hz or 44100hz? If I got 192 I'd buy it. I don't understand how anyone's saying that the sound really good if they're only doing 44100hz 🤣
Does control freaks fit this controller ?
I'm wondering the same thing
No. The sticks are slightly small.
On my PowerA fusion pro the kontrolfreeks can't spin around at all.
But on my Recon I just bought Ive had to stick a few layers of paper under the kontrolfreek to take up space, or else on the left stick I can spin it around in circles
@@FIREB4II I have one aswell and the control freeks not fitting are the only downside to me. I never liked trigger stops and the controller feels like an upgrade from the power a
@@FIREB4II thanks for advice, I bought control freaks for it and it does spins around and sometimes when I flick the joystick they pop off, I'm definitely going to try putting paper underneath 👍🏽
@@thestormthatisapproaching1872 yeah I'm loving this controller, especially the buttons on the back, they are easy to use and positioned perfectly for me at least
But what if you have a Bluetooth headset
Then you go buy a wired one! Noob.
Get this controller stick drift after monds of use??
Is this controller compatible with the series x?
does it work wirelessly? im on a series x and I love my battery controller however I really love the look of this one should I get white or black one? most of my setup is white
What is ur keyboard
