It is always fun getting to 'arrange' your own home. Such a beautiful space. And I agree... never let anyone tell you how you should use your home. I have friends who use their living room as a bedroom. And it works for them. I think people get stuck on 'traditional' things. Love what you've done with your place and space! Thanks for sharing ❤
You’re absolutely right, we changed the living room into a bedroom in the last place too, if you spend your time mostly with what’s in there, then it only makes sense for it to be the biggest room. thank you! I really wasn’t sure how to piece this video together so I’m glad you liked it and it all flows okay 🥰

When you are rewetting gouache it is recommended to use distilled water because regular tap water is what can contribute to mold growth. Keeping some in a small, disinfected spray bottle to rehydrate your paints is a good option.
that’s a good idea, I have heard of that before. Unfortunately at this point, everything had been boxed up for a while so I wouldn’t have been able to access either. Definitely worth remembering for future though 🥰

@ChantelleArts Putting together a studio is a lot of work but can be so fun. Mine took a while, too, but it was so worth it! It will grow and morph as you work in the space more, too! I'm happy that you have a happy space to create in!
When I saw your videos of buying your own house and you said you planned to set up an art studio, tbh I was thinking but won't that be your lounge? But you have to do what makes you happy and if it's an art space over a sofa and TV then whose to say you shouldn't! More power to you for doing it! I dream about my own craftroom/library one day, atm I'm crafting at my kitchen table
Yep you’re absolutely right, this works much better for us and to be honest, we didn’t really have a lounge in the old flat either, we ate on the bed, so it’s not too different. I hope you can have your own one day, I wonder if there’s a space that could be transformed from something else into an art area? 🥰
I absolutely love this video! I watched it while working on my next video’s drawing and it was so cozy! You put SO much effort into your studio and it came out so pretty and organized! I’ll admit that I am little jealous of the pencil stand you found at the charity shop🤣 As for what I’d do with it. I think I would repaint it to what it was originally but that’s just because I love the bright saturated red, blue, yellow and greens! It’s also adorable as is with its spots and pink. Either way you do it, the stand is just a cool design so it will look good. I’ve seen the studio in the background of so many of your videos and seeing how it came to be felt so special❤️
aww you’re making me well up gal 🥹 somebody else said about kind of making it my own so you’ve now got me thinking about repainting it back to how it was but adding swirls all over, could that work?? 😮 I’m so happy that you enjoyed this, I feel like I watched it so many times I got to the point where I couldn’t picture what it would be like for someone new hahaha 😂
I think you did a wonderful job at transforming your space and i liked the way you changed ot to fix your seasons or moods thats super neat. I rather enjoyed this video the time went by super fast when you said it had been soo long i had to look and realize yup ive been watching a straight hour and thats hard to keep my attention that long as i waa explaining to cassie in her sketchbook video....and i say make everything your style personalize it all im pretty sure we all would love to watch you customize it all....cant wait til sunday and to see more....but i think you have done an wonderful and tasteful job at redecorating your space keep up the good work!!!!! Oh yea p.s. I also use our bedrooms for everything as well my daughters have a play room where my living and dining space is as you said its what works for us and i think thats the best way to keep it....never think your doing it wrong if thats what work for you and your family....but my comment is a mile long just had lot to say but i enjoyed the video and appreciate all your hard work to make awesome videos for us to watch thank you so much and cant wait for more in the future!!😊❤

I think the pencil shelf should be redone in your art style!! 🎨 Make it fit in with the room and reflect you!! ❤ It is really cute!! 😍 It is really sturdy to have brick walls!! 👍 Most bricks are just a false front here now. You've done an amazing job on your house!! 👏 Your studio is looking incredible!! 💞 I love how you painted the peg board!! 🥰

love this! i’m only 20 minutes in but i wanted to mention that if you put the light on the other side of ur desk, there shouldn’t be shadow from ur hand
that’s a good point, it’s good in the summer because of the sunlight through the window but will probably have to invest in another light on the other side by next winter. problem is then it’s right in between me and my partner so it would be in the way. Haven’t decided what to do with the pencil shelf yet, any ideas?
I was living vicariously through you this whole video. If I didn't have kids, this is like my dream set up - the little cottage. I just adore it. That pencil shelf in the antique shop was a beacon for me. I got so excited when you went for it. I personally love that the colors totally vibe with your room, so I would either touch it up or repaint it with a new design, but the same colors. So so fun. I saw some wall stuff that was exciting (wink wink)... Excuse me while I watch that now.
