Originally Batwoman/Katherine 'Kathy' Kane was the girlfriend/significant other of Batman/Bruce Wayne...Then they cancelled her...then brought her back as with the backstory character of being Bruce's Aunt by marriage (his mom's brother) then cancelled that..then brought her back, writing her as his cousin(on his mother's side).
I always thought this scene makes no sense. They should have seen their own villains because of 2 reasons. 1 is that despite changing bodies, their minds are still theirs and being hounted by someone else's enemy makes little sense, and 2 is because then fighting each other would also make much sense, becasue they would have matching skill sets with what they see. Oliver seeing Merlyn on Green Arrow and Barry seeing Reverse Flash on the Flash would actually fit their experience of the fight.
remember to us they were still themselves but caitlyn for example probably saw oliver and thought he looked and sounded like grant gustin in her head aka real barry, that's why they didn't believe them sp that's why it makes sense they get eachothers villians, plus it helps oliver realize on top of getting instant super powers doesn't auto help you if you have no idea how they work but also that he had some negative too just like oliver.
But it does make sense cause in this reality Reverse Flash thought Oliver as Barry was the real Barry and Malcolm thought Barry as Oliver was his nemesis just like Iris & Felicity thought they were married to Barry & Oliver as always just with a different face.
I genuinely don't understand how anyone could think putting that wig on the bat costume was a good idea. It's genuinely insane how ridiculous it looks.
