Im sure I will still enjoy this game, but everything visually about this seems like a step back from COH2. The white phosphorus animations and just general explosions compared to there respective calibers seems off. I cannot also get over the M1 Carbine as a bolt action......why not at that rate just throw an 03 springfield in their hands??? This falls into a category of most games out today and that is it just seems unfinished. I would've gladly waited another 6 months to a year to get what seems like a more finished product. Maybe I am in the minority on this?

I doubt it, it's probably just reusing animations from similar units that are equipped with bolt actions. I've not played the game myself, but they may have given the M1A1 the fire rate of a bolt action for balancing reasons.
I've noticed too, also they fire their bolt action Springfields snipers in semi auto, although like you said, they clearly have the bolt action animations in the game but are using them for the m1 carbine which is semi-automatic in real life.
@@NovaXP to balance M1A1 carbine they could made it deal less damage cause M1A1 ammo was less powerful than rifles. Also weapon with high fire rate could have less accurancy for example. Wit low fire rate you haven't cance for mistake, what makes you be more accurate. There are many ways to make balance in game. To make all troops with the same characteristics is lazy way. Especially in historical game.

Yep, it can't be an M4A3E8 if it has VVSS. The E8 designation solely relates to HVSS. This one would actually have been an M4A3E6. Even then, these aren't the proper names for those Shermans since they're the designations for the experimental models. The ""M4A3E8"" presented in game is actually an M4A3 76W VVSS. An actual Easy 8 is an M4A3 76W HVSS, with the wider suspension.

I enjoyed the game but looking at the game objectively it has some major issues. The main issue i had was the sound effects felt off, the recent patch made them better but yes your right the sound effects from CoH 2 are better or they had more oomph which made them sound better. As for the animations, i can't say for certain but i think they are mostly the same but i would need to check before i can say. The graphics are better and the game ran really well for me but man something feels off/missing and i can't pin point what it is but noticed this with most of relics recent titles, had the same feeling with AoE 4 and DoW 3. Content wise game has more then CoH 1 and 2 at launch but i am slightly concerned that relic will abandon the game like dawn of war 3 and to a lesser extent AoE 4 and we will never have the same amount of content that end game coh 2 had.
the funniest thing to me is how in CoH 2 semi auto rifles also used a bolt cycling animation but they managed to cut it right at the start so it was barely visible but not in coh 3
The game looks good and it sure plays great but these sound effects are way inferior to CoH 1 and CoH 2. In CoH2 you go deaf from the explosions and shots that were going on.

Relic did it all wrong... The most obvious thing is when you see that they think the M1A1 carbine is bolt action. The other part is to see that the supposed M4A3E8 has the VVSS suspension and not the HVSS as it should be. The game is crap compared to all the hype it received
Future patches or not but this is unacceptable, at around 3:35 this instance where you notice an M1 Carbines loading animation is that of Bolt Action just makes you want to give up on the gaming industry this sums it all ,a AAA Game for 60$ ladies and gentlemen.
Nowadays, games come out half assed. I feel the animations of COH2 are better. Colors also are to bright in this one. Hope they fix these issues quick.
The problem with the sticky bomb is that, that's not how they implemented it. The US so called sticky was suppose to be applied on contact not thrown. The British are the one's with the throw-able grenades. Also that small sized explosive can't break tracks. It should only be able to damage engine or destroy engine depending on where it landed since they implemented the 3 armor layout. COH3 Literally took the saving private ryan sticky and made it mainstream not knowing this was rarely used by both US and british. They should have just opted with the satchel charge instead. Also why not give the Germans the magnetic shape charge other than the panzer faust or even better the AT grenades with fin stabilizers that more common used than US sticky

When we get out, we get a company signed piece of artwork of the 34th ID fighting the Germans. Proof that it doesn't take a 9-5 soldier to kick some a**. All it takes is a Minnesota, Iowa, or Nebraska farm boy with a secondary skillset in the Guard.

I had to rewatch that part to make sure they were using M1A1s. Kinda a dumb mistake to make on a WW2 game. Especially their 3rd Company of Heros. Lol

nothing can beat the COH 1 , the sound in COH3 is terrible
Finally the 30cal is here, honestly they can keep the 50cal for this game but just give it more pop cap cuz it's the highest DPS HMG in game
