You have great taste sir - Brubaker's Cap, Bendis's Daredevil (along with Miller's and Brubaker's runs - but yeah agree with you on Shadowland that was pretty awful), John's Green Lantern and Lee/Ditko's Amazing Spider-Man are among some of my favourite runs as well! Been meaning to check out Swamp Thing for sometime and your thoughts on that have made it a higher priority. Animal Man sounds interesting although I'm not a huge fan of Grant Morrison but, again, your thoughts on it make it appealing. Stumbled across your channel by chance, glad I did - will be checking out more of your vids!
Bendis' Daredevil run is also one of my favorite comic book runs. I have almost the whole run in single issues, just a few more until I finish off the collection :) Nice picks, I definitely want to check out Animal Man
Can't argue with Swamp Thing. Absolutely amazing. I've also been waiting forever to read Animal Man. I've had the omnibus on my shelf for over a year, and Morrison is my favorite writer- I just haven't sat down and read it yet (although I've read Invisibles twice in that time). I guess I like the fact that I still have undiscovered gems to read from my favorite authors. Bendis' Daredevil is great (like most Daredevil runs). Haven't had a chance to read the Winter Soldier arc yet, but I've recently picked that up as well. Great list. Makes me want to make my own! Keep up the good work dude.
Those are all great recommendations! Some of my favorite runs (at the top my head) are Garth Ennis' Punisher Max series and John Byrne's Fantastic Four.
Your reviews are great. One thing ive learned after watching many comic reviews as of late is that i beg you when showing good reads to show one page inside the book. It honestly makes the review sl much better for me as a complete noob on what id like to buy next and get into. Thanks man!
Great video, nice to see someone very passionate about comics, I have been collecting for 42 years now so have a few. The new Daredevil run is great too, he has changed to a black costume which makes the art really stand out and the story is dark again
Love this video! I've read most of what you have recommended and loved it a lot! I will now find some Grant Morrison Animal Man and Geoff Johns Green Lantern to have it all! Thanks for making it!
Personally, I find Johns' "Green Lantern" and Bendis' "Daredevil" to shift between 'outright terrible' to 'somewhat mediocre.' (I vastly prefer Englehart's "GL" and Miller's and Brubaker's "DD.") The rest of your faves? Well, hey, it's hard to argue their quality... Good picks.
My top 10 favorite comic book runs are 1. Deadpool by Joe Kelly 2. Daredevil by Frank Miller 3. Doom Patrol by Grant Morrison 4. Thor by Jason Aaron 5. Batman by Scott Synder 6. Saga Of The Swamp Thing by Alan Moore 7. Venom by Donny Cates 8. The Flash by Geoff Johns 9. Aquaman by Geoff Johns 10. John Constantine Hellblazer by Garth Ennis

Is the new Geoff Johns Green Lantern omnibus a good starting point for his run? Any idea what percentage of his run it covers? It's 50% off on IST right now, so I may go for it
what is your opinion on Grant Morrison's Batman run and his FInal Crisis story, on his Batman run, so far i am enjoying it, im only upto the resurrection of Ra's and with FC, i thought it was decent, there is some over complexity in it, and then there are some loose ends... but i did enjoy it
I'm actually planing to do a video covering Grant Morrisons Batman run. I haven't read infinite Crisis since what I've heard is that it's not integral to his run and that you get what happens to Batman in the Graphic Novel time and Batman. Plan to go back and read infinite though.
Hey HC, idk if u read the character but I'm starting to read the new Scott Lang ant-man marvel run. I'm starting have a new found love for the character and do you have any ant man reading recommendations? Not just of Scott Lang, but hank pim and other ant men.
Ant Man is a character that has never really had an amazing run. If you are interested though read Matt Fractions FF run. Scott Lang was the leader of the group in that and it was a really fun series. Outside of that I can't recall anything that great. I know Kirkman did a small run in the character before he started Walking Dead and it was called Irredeemable Ant Man. Never read it but heard it was pretty good.

Bendis's run on Daredevil is absolutely spectacular!
Is it better than Miller’s?
Alan Moore's Swamp Thing is the greatest comic I've ever read.
Added the Daredevil to my Amazon Wishlist. Never read any Daredevil, but hoping i can get into it before the Netflix show.
1. Sandman (Gaiman) - #1
2. Swamp Thing (Moore)
3. 100 bullets
4. Daredevil (Bendis, Brubaker)
5. Batman (Snyder)
almost the same, I just would insert Watchmen to pos 2.
I totally agree with Saga of the swamp thing ... such a great read

Ann Nocenti's Daredevil run is the number 1 run that needs an omnibus
Kevin Smiths run is very underrated too - Guardian Devil
I love how swamp thing is so spiritual in a way. He learns how to accept himself as God made him to be. So deep. So cool
Good picks.

Constantine! what is the difference between Vertigo and DC?
Bert Fechner Vertigo is still DC but like the stories are simply too mature, deep, and darker for mainstream comics.
Vertigo has adult themes and is a subsidiary of DC.
This guy mentions he has a reading list. Where is it?
Wish I could get my hands on the Bendis DD omnibuses but shit is mad overpriced now.
