    Commercials shot on film with music and jingles during this time are classic but many of the other ones shot on much lower quality video with no background music (like the Kraft one) are really dated and something I think many people ignore when being nostalgic about this time. Also, even the good ones are ruined by the excessive amount of replays of the same commercials we used to have to endure just to watch TV, which you can skip now with streaming services.

    Shocking that First Blood Part II was not originally released AT THEATERS EVERYWHERE

    • @wadethesladewilson6753
      @wadethesladewilson6753 3 года назад +4

      Back then movie theaters had to bid on who would get a film unlike today where films are shown at all theaters. Sometimes films would release in select markets such as NYC & LA before being released nationwide. In the town I lived in we had competing theaters. So one would have Rambo while another would have Terminator but they play didn't play at both.

    • @bobblueford
      @bobblueford 3 года назад

      @@wadethesladewilson6753 The Terminator I understand because it was an independent movie that became a surprise hit, but First Blood Part II already had the massive prequel. So you would imagine that the studio people would want to do a wide release for Part II.

      @75aces97 3 года назад

      A lot of movie houses at the time only had 1 or 2 theater rooms in them. In my town, the biggest multiplex had 5 screens at the time. So not many movies opened everywhere at once. I remember it could be a small chore to find a theater with a movie you wanted to see.
