Don't have negative thoughts. Remember your mantra.
This is incredibly well-made. Beyond the music itself, which is quite enthralling, the use of appropriate game footage basically turns this video into a movie. Really, good job.
Thanks a lot! This was the intent:) Givinga little visual recap of the game..while playing the musical themes associated with each game section:)
What a great sound track ! Could be a Hollywood movie .
@@diegomayfield4751 Thanks! Composers were so good back then and so underated.
Faxanadu was the perfect answer to (Zelda 2/Simon's Quest) with its fair difficulty, very interesting world with an incredible variety of enemies, cozy towns to creepy dungeons (within dungeons). Part of my all time favourites titles!
Way way better game than Zelda 2 in every way shape and form.
Every time your full orchestral rendition comes out, I immediately want to replay the game with it😂
@@Difficult1427 I would love if someone made modern remakes of these fantastic games
This is amazing my friend! This is my childhood :)
Can you believe I had never played this game before recording this playthrough? lol It is such a good game!
Climbing the Haligtree in Elden Ring today and was astonished at how closely it resembled what a modern 3D remake of Faxanadu could be like. Something I've longed for my whole life. I couldn't resist, I had to put on the Faxanadu soundtrack to play in the background. As soon as the music started playing, I was there, picking through the upper branches of the World Tree on my way to retrieve the Dragonslayer. Thanks for making the dream possible!
Elden ring shadow of the erdtree is less than half the game that faxanadu is. The original elden ring was comparable.
Love it loved this game played it over a few times it was that good
I love this so muchhhhh!!! The arrangements are frickin perfect!!
Pretty cool! I wish more of the tracks had some more time to breathe though. I feel like so many of them end right as I'm getting invested.
@@turnkey_hole yes I understand, this video was really meant to be a quick recap of the whole game for people who wanted to quickly relive it:) along with updated tunes...most of the tracks are available seperately also on the channel
A great rendition of the best game soundtrack. Love it!
Thank you very much! This is indeed a great soundtrack and an awesome game:)
Excellent work! My personal favourite must be the Mist part, it captures the somewhat mysterious mood of the original really well 🙂
This is epic! Love this game.
Thanks! Great game indeed! That was actually the first time I played it! Boy did I miss something in my childhood:)
So good! I love this game! Great job.
Thanks! I tried this game for the first time when I recorded the video and I loved it!!
Excellent
@@daze507 thanks a lot:)
I love this game...but it's a hard one, too.
@@johnhanzelyjr yes very hard indeed
@@vgmusicrevisited8668 Back then....this was all called, "Nintendo-Hard" because most games didn't have a difficulty option. 😂😂😂
10:34 is awesome. Reminds me of a part of Final Fantasy 3 on the SNES. 22:23 is my other favorite.
@@Metal-4-Life yeah..there is something about flute melodies that I love also.:) thanks for the comment:)
Another outstanding complete orchestral tribute soundtrack. I've never played Faxanadu, But no doubt the NES soundtrack is amazing.
Do you have any plans for any CastleVania related orchestral music this October?
Or maybe the complete orchestral soundtrack of Super CastleVania 4?
Thanks! Yeah I'm tackling Super Nes and Genesis Castlevania music tracks soon, I have so many request on Patreon that it is getting hard to keep up, but I'll eventually get to it:)
@@vgmusicrevisited8668 Why not write them down so you'll keep up the requests.
Super CastleVania 4 is nearly approaching it's 35th anniversary.
But this year's it's STILL celebrating it's 30th anniversary. Perhaps you could do something special for it before October hits?
I can't imagine a better orchestral rendition. Absolutely pleasing to the ears! I'm especially fond of World Tree 03.
@@adelberthartwell2622 thanks a lot:)
Outstanding! Please release the FLACs!
Only negative feedback...the end scene, you just played the title theme, the end theme has a different song playing. I mean, same song, but it's different with octaves and a brighter note.
embracing the good ol' ai art fren?
@@MarioTGP yeah...only for thumbnails because I can't find other ways. But I still edit it a bit with photoshop to get what I want.
I would still be happy if the AI art disappeared tommorrow though.
Istant like
@@andvice thanks a lot:)
Faxanadu has been one of my favourite nes games since I was a kid. The music along with the footage is really great. It really sounds like a real updated soundtrack for the game. Would be perfect for an upscaled remaster of the game.
Thanks a lot:) It is a shame that I only discovered this game recently and never had the chance to experience it as a child in the real NES ERA
so whats the point of paying the patreon if sooner or later they will release all the albums anyways for free...u just have to wait...
Supporting the artist and getting a little treat as thanks?
I'll answer this myself, it is very simple..without Patreon, this channel would be dead and gone for at least 3-4 years now. A lot of Patreon subscribers are telling me that I should release all my stuff on youtube, and I am the one who restrain it because I want to give a bit of exclusivity to my supporters. I'm doing this alone in my free time because I know some people enjoy this. And yes, If you are willing to wait for 6 months to a year for every track, than it is all good. Some of them may never be on youtube, but a lot of them will...otherwise I will never grow my channel. You are not forced to subscribe if you don't want to...just giving a link to my channel when posting my castlevania music on your page instead of claiming it as your own would be just as appreciated:)
@@JamesCrimson43 Thank you very much for understanding how channel support works:)
