Just like in other sports, when organizers ignore cheating, it discourages honest players. It's frustrating to work hard on improving your skills while others have been breaking the rules for years without consequences.
The problem Valve has is to ban all cheaters means to ban essentially every pro (no, not joking). There are too many high-level hacks and it's pretty well known everyone's using 'em or they can't compete anymore (the impossible-to-spot sort where as you spray every 6-8th bullet will aimbot etc); the difference is now that they're back to experiencing a flood of newbies brazenly cheating with a semi-new game.
As a cs player for over 8 years and 3500 Hours.. The combination of both the small things like dying unfairly due to subtick or etc, or like you said getting a cheater in the game (my team or not) and just not having a good time anymore. I've taken a break for over 2 weeks now and im truly stress free lmfao. Hit the nail on the head
Same. Been playing since October 2015 and I have 7.3K hours... I was level 7 on Faceit, B+ on ESEA, and LE in MM, and I stopped playing yesterday because of the bullsht state of the game.
@@lust4darkness69 spoken like a true cheater. My buddies and I are playing lready since the 1.3 era, and CS2 is now the game we start to avoid because of the cheating problem. That's 15+years of experience per player getting fed up by players F*ing this game up with their crap hacks.
@@shleyLX it's probably more than 10% of the whole player base. Going off other FPS, about 20-30% of players were using some form of cheat. But of course that doesn't mean that 20-30% of players in any given match do
@QiuSe you could be right I just went based off the discords I could find to purchase and compared the number of members to current concurrent player numbers and it was 3 years ago now as well.
Valve promised the cheater problem will get better with cs2. As far as I‘m concerned: there are way more cheaters in it than in every game before. What upsets me the most: you hear nothing about that topic from valve, anymore.
There’s really no excuse for them not doing this atp. If they’re worried about the performance implications then make it an opt in system where cheaters and repurposed dell machines can still play in their own servers
There is only 1 rule in every online game now, especially in Cheaters' Shelter... I mean CS: You have more cheaters in your team, you win. You have less cheaters/less obvious cheaters, you lose.
In one of my games yesterday. One guy on my team started aimbotting about halfway and my other teammate asked what cheats he was using and they talked about the cheats. Then he installed the cheats MIDGAME and started cheating with him. My mind was blown
Damn, for real? His game didn't crash or anything? Maybe he timed out for a bit, I don't know, but that's crazy. Being able to install cheats mid game wow
@@KapteinFruit As far as I'm aware, most cheating software is injected into the game after it's open. They usually scan the in game memory and change in game memory values allowing you to cheat.
even without anticheat, if they banned every cheater immediately or in a few day permanently on a hardware level, it would decrease the amount og cheaters drastically as people who want to play this game, would simply avoid cheating not to get banned
2 players I met a year ago in CSGO started cheating not long ago, each of them has around 5k hours and a rating of 14k, the enemy really thinks they are just good players, occasionally the enemy complains about their pings but no accusations of cheating whatsoever, they are really doing their best to hide it. After a game, I had really strong suspicions and I confronted them and they confirmed it they even tried to go along with it and that it was safe because it was private or something idk, after that, I didn't play with them anymore. But just to show you if these cheaters actually know how to play the game and not go full rage shooting through walls etc, the average player from all ratings can't differentiate them from really legit good players.
That's with every online shooter game nowadays. I had the same experience in Warzone and Valorant. I know players in these games that cheat, and it is surprisingly easy.
if you have been queuing with them in cs2 for premier if they eventually get banned your rank will be severely hurt/reset and you'll get a small cooldown.
I used to play cs 1.6 and I wanted play CS after years for fun but this is torture , I really don't understand how they can let this happen it's embarrassing for the company
I have said this before - the day/night they announced cs2 to go live, I was really hoping that they would announce new and better anti-cheat instead. Bittersweet moment it was
I'm right now at 17k elo. Yesterday we played with q friend which is 22k elo. We played a 18 k average lobby.first game at least 2 guys cheating. Deagle 4 x headshot through double wall until i died. My friend with 22k elo also didn't even stand a chance. There was no way to popflash them or other nice plays. It was pretty disappointed. I mean I played 1.6 semi professiona. We neeed a anticheat .
Hi. I'm 36 years old, and I started playing video games at the age of 13. My first FPS was Counter-Strike 1.5. I immediately fell in love, and started a decades-long gaming career. At the age of 31 or so, I quit playing FPS games altogether because of the prevalence of cheaters in CS:Go, Apex Legends, and just about every other FPS game I enjoyed. I quit gaming because of cheaters. The cheaters have won. Online competitive gameplay is dead.
Agreed. This is not just a CS problem, it's all of gaming. Literally a waste of your life competing against these nerds. I'm about to sell my PC, no joke
I wanna believe Valve is working hard on this and will let actions speak for themselves. I barely got back to CS, after dropping it back in 1.6. I really like the game. Unfortunatelly some matches are unbereable. Seems like I'm playing in a PRO League everytime I'm online, even on casual matches.
The thing that sucks about modern day 5v5 cs is that it gets too tryhard-y at ranks higher than silver. There were times when the CS franchise was this game mostly played for fun and not competitively.
they did a lot but people dont get how cheats work and that some features aren’t possible to be detected if the cheat is an external instead of internal cheat
Legitimate players leaving faster than normal is a real thing. Like you and I, when cheating becomes rampant, we take breaks / leave. Let the cheaters kill each other for a while. In it's current state, it's just unplayable for legitimate players.
As a network software engineer, I can say that with a good server/client architecture and extremely low development costs, Valve could prevent every kind of cheating imaginable (except Aimlock). But Valve doesn't do that because Valve makes much more money from the hackers who get banned in regular waves than from the normal players. After a ban, a cheater buys a new account.
@@thenilusss4911 They don't make that much more money from cheaters, if the game is rampant with cheaters it will die, at some point I left csgo with my friends due to the high number of spinbotters in competitive. There are some games killed entirely by cheaters. Also cheating implementation has next to nothing to do with network engineering and its by any means, not as easy to combat as people claim.
@@bogdyeewhich game died because of cheaters? there has been always cheaters, in battlefield, call of duty, counter strike, fortnite, pubg.. but these games still exist and are still on top! When a game dies, it's not because of cheaters, it is because of lack of content or poor performance. humans are still so naive that when they complain about something, they'll get new content so they'll forget about the cheaters for a while.. in italy, when people were complaining about something, they gave them content, gladiator fights and everbody forgot about the complains 😂
@@thenilusss4911 thats the dumbest logic for why the company would not invest in an anti cheat. Cheater infested game will drive away legit players who are willing to spend microtransactions in game. This is the end of CS
As you get older you start to see that there are some issues that can't/won't be fixed. Cheats in video games are a game of cat and mouse. Name one game thst doesn't have cheats in it.
I've been playing this same series for 10 years now. I have thousands of hours logged, I've stuck by it through every update, I'd play every single day after school and in to my adulthood after work, and with all the changes, dying behind walls, the increased amount of packet loss through subtick eating my inputs, the players either silently using wallhacks to up their rating or the ones just blatantly ragehacking in premier for a laugh, it's truly just not the same feeling of playing counterstrike any more. I've completely stopped playing a month ago, the longest I've gone without touching the game in some way intentionally, and while I do miss it, I've had enough bad experiences with CS2 at this point that I know it's just not going to be the same. I would rather not disappoint myself
Well said, this was the same case for me, 8 years in the game with literally 7k hours. Even if the game isnt dead, its dead in my eyes now, they sell 30 million cases a month and cannot afford to put 500k in the anticheat to keep that revenue coming. Valve died not CS.
the players either silently using wallhacks was never convinced by the silent wallhacker accusations. Wallhack is the easiest to spot. as long as theyre not undercover police agents in their main job and put the same dedication in their gaming they will slip up. just the brainpower needed to make splitsecond decision where they should just go and die in the bombside by choosing a route which doesnt show that they know where the enemy is is enormous. they will act unnaturally. every decision they make they will have to think how a legit player would do that and try to emulate that. Cheaters are despised, most people will votekick the cheater as soon as they are convinced. me and my friends kicked a guy out because he looked at another guys twitch and tried to convice us to do the same in voicechat. If they cant votekick they leave the game and or teamkill the cheater. so the cheater needs a friend to cover his ass from votekicks to survive the game and still has the problems of getting report by 8 guys every game
I'm an honest player, i'm a really sharp & calm person because i take my health & diet seriously so that i can become sharper than the average person. But when i play Counter-Strike, i can just feel that something ain't right with this game, it's a game that pisses you off, even if you're the most good tempered person, it still pisses you off. Either the game is designed for the ultimate nerds of all time who don't have a real life, or it's full of cheaters.
Valve will make adjustments to the ranking system but will never fix it. CS:GO had always problems with the ranking system and cheaters and till the end nothing was fixed but everyone still loved it.
I won my 10 placements games out of 16 and got put in 1988 rating. Regularly top fragged and was LEM in csgo... Back up to 10k rating now as I was getting into games with newer people constantly which was so fucked.
You know your rating system is heavily flawed when sub lvl 10 faceit players are higher rated than 3-4k elo players. Just look at NBK, he has a rating of 2.7k on premier. I can say hands down that every other game you play on valves servers have one or more cheaters in it. I know it might be hard for some to detect soft cheaters, but when you play against 3k lobbies all the time, you just know when they cheat. Its all in the movement. If Valve were serious about cheating, they would have an invasive anti-cheat, enable overwatch and link it with faceit accounts who are 2k+ to review the cases. High rating doesnt mean shit when you move like a bot, it just makes it easier to detect your soft cheats. Its virtually impossible for low skilled players to cheat undetected as we can easily tell by movement if the player is cheating or not.
Just remember they aren't cheating they are just having a really good day, and a really good game, like the last 30 games with their 4.4 k/d and 5k hours lol
The most annoying part is when you are the one not even cheating and the lobby kicks you. Seriously it's not just the hackers. The player base itself are idiots.
The CS player base has always had it's fair share of assholes, going back to 1.6. But I hear a lot of bad things about Dota 2 players and Valorant players too actually.
facts. cs playerbase is full mode rtrds and im a proud part of it and fkn hate it love it at the same time. best fps out there, worst playerbase. mfs be playing for fun n competitive but take seriously casual and get mad when lose. the worst part is, the playerbase is getting worse and worse. 1.6 days had way better players and their humor was actually funny
I have been playing Counter Strike since it was a mod on Half-life deathmatch aka 1.3 and I have to say this game is dead to me the cheating issue is not getting solved. I have made the choice to uninstall due to many cheaters and I can not do this anymore and there are other games where cheaters are not so rampant that I would much rather play as of today Goodbye Counter strike RIP 1999-2024 CS
As a completely fresh counter strike player my initial experience of this game was horrendous. In my first ten matches there were two blatantly obvious cheaters (one spin botting, the other hitting wall bangs from across the map) and 7 disconnects in the first 3-9 rounds. In these games, one player was usually much better than the rest of the lobby, to the extent that it usually didn't matter which team was down one (or even two) players. I had one good game, luckily it was soo much fun that I kept playing. But two of my friends who started with me havent touched the game after that and I honestly cant blame them.
Sorry, but that's just how the game is. Those are not cheaters. When you're new to CS, everyone feels like a cheater. The skill ceiling is HIGH and if you study tactics, you can see why that is.
@@CharlieandtheRed-dn8ol No, the idea about ranks is that you dont get queued with people that are significantly better then you. The random disconnects are sad as is, and should be more heavily punished. Outside of that cheating is a serious issue, that ruins the experience not just for veteran players, but decreases an influx of new players.
People act like Valve had *ever* disclosed Anti-Cheat Changes other than "We added Overwatch". Also, Valve is kind of "against" invasive Anti-Cheat Solutions. Just wait and find out what Valve is going to do / not to do.
I notice cheaters too but what ruins the experience for me the most has been going from Supreme to Gold 2. So many teammates raging and abandoning after losing just 5 rounds. Here begins the grind again but it won’t be so enjoyable.
@@Gone29364 just as a warning, it gets worse, WAY worse. Now (~120 matches later) I'm a bit above 7k. And almost every match is griefing teammates, 5 stack cheater enemies or a teammate cheater, until I derank back to 6.5k ELO, then it's all normal again until I reach ~7.3k and the cycle repeats. I've gone through this cycle like 6 times already.

The most stupid thing about all of this shit is that because this anticheat is so trash, people just accuse anyone of cheating... i want to play counter strike in a way that if i get killed by someone i can clap and say "good kill", not say fucking cheater, i want that guarantee, and it's so frustrating because this also gives lower tier players a reason to just mass report anyone that is a good player...
I’ve had the most frustrating experiences in CS2 I have ever had in Counter Strike. Now I do not know if it’s just matchmaking being incredibly unbalanced because no one is properly ranked yet or if it even is cheaters. But I have never felt so bad playing Counter Strike then in CS2
Cheaters are bad, we all know that. But I'd argue Valve is killing it's own game. Lack of features, rushed release, bugs, inconsistencies, less gamemodes, no new content make the game stale and boring. On top of that, releasing the game unfinished and replacing CSGO entirely whilst adding a scoreboard for a buggy shitshow were cheaters are rampant. I don't blame cheaters. I blame Valve.
even without anticheat, if they banned every cheater immediately or in a few day permanently on a hardware level, it would decrease the amount og cheaters drastically as people who want to play this game, would simply avoid cheating not to get banned
the game has 500,000 players on steam and hasn't dipped below that since release, definitely dying, especially when the game needs at least a whopping 3000 or so players to reliably match players against each other with minimal delay, I don't know if this game is going to make it, I'm scared.
this has been going on for years, i've left the game around 2018 and there are still people addressing cheaters, just like in this video. Valve just can't fix it, ever. Thousands of practice hours down the drain.
valve should've just stuck with GO, they fucked up their tick rate the cheaters are worse. The games been out for a while and they have yet to add in practicing with friends on maps/community servers. Cs2 has been a shit show since they released it.
It's tough. On one end you accept using a Valve-made rootkit akin to Riot's Vanguard. On the other end, you've always got the nagging thought in the back of your head that someone is cheating.
A week of CS2 right now: in Premier: 5/6 games with cheaters. The last game, an opponent goes 2-8 and straight up starts wallbanging people across half the map, random teammate enables his rage hacks and a war breaks out, 2 other people on the opposing team starts wallhacking, we drew 15-15 because our cheater had stronger software enhancements and actually wasn't a 2k elo player (this is at 17500 elo average). Well that was fun, *switches to FACEIT* we have one fun game against a bunch of Danes, second game starts and the lobby is against Russians with 1 year old accounts: Me and my 20k hours of CS 😅... I guess they learned CS REALLY fast, because when they were loosing and then suddenly adapted real fast and proceeded to beat our ass through smokes and walls. So I guess that's enough CS2 for a while.
yeah every game i've played so far with my friends, it seems like we would win a couple rounds then the enemy team just suddenly gets pro level good with 1 or 2 guys getting multiple kills the rest of the game. We even had one guy who didn't even try to hide it and straight up rushed all of us and we werent able to kill him even though we all shot him multiple times.
I ocasionally play wingman with a friend and when csgo switched to cs2,we always encountered this super good shooters that peek every corner on the map and sometimes it happens for them to randomly exit the match and when they rejoin, they shoot and move on the map like is their first time playing.Idk if they are trollers or if their cheats are crashing but this kind of thing happens a lot. And btw...who cares about anti-cheat when you can now inspect the bomb...
I just picked the game up last week after not having played CS for some 13+ years and I started to really love it. It's the cheating and the voip spam bots that really ruin this game. I have been getting some pretty cool lobbies at certain hours of the day - so I have hope valve will turn this ship show around.
Better option lets ditch official servers. Lets make something like faceit has but twice better and enjoy game. Since 2012 - 2013 cheaters killing this game no one want play this anymore.
So sad that we still need to fall back to Faceit just to not be (openly!) cheated against. Just a few days ago I met a cheater who was as close as you can get to rage hacking without just full on spinning. I haven't seen anything as blatant as that in years and I played my fair share of MM in CSGO as well.
@@lobang725 I agree, I played like 20-30 games in last month on faceit, and the ammount of bought, new account with insane gamesense, reflex, and smoke/wallbangs is just out of hand. Im lvl 6 on faceit btw, was global in CS:GO, I can barelly hold 15k in premiere, I have around 5k hour in this game, and honestly I dont think im that bad, hell Im even better than before, but ppl just suddenly became like prime SImple in every platform, its AIDS. Overwatch should come back ASAP imo
I do think that they are going to address this problem sooner or later, the question is how and whether that is a sustainable fix. IMO they need to make internal changes to dedicate a small subteam to solely work on anti-cheat, so that they can keep up with the latest cheats and keep the game fun. Looking at how much revenue they make, this should be such a nobrainer.
I uninstalled the game. I've played csgo and other cs games for years and I thought I'd continue playing csgo for many more years, but I'm honestly disappointed with the feel of cs2. Going to spend my time in tarkov instead.
Playing CS2 just feels awful right now. Even if my opponent is actually just that good I can't get it out of my mind that they could be cheating, and more often than not they are just blatantly cheating. I deadass swore off Valorant and didn't touch it since the beta but me and my friends who used to play CS2 swapped to Valorant after we ran into one too many cheaters. I have a job and so do my friends and it just blows that when we use what little time we have to play together to que up a competitive match and the other team has straight up spinbotters.
Oh man, if you only knew that Valorant is actually not much different.....subtle aimbots and wall hacks, and it's easier than you think. They are just better at hiding it.
@@manbok2035 I've been playing almost everyday for a month and I haven't run into a single cheater yet. A couple of afk botters sure but everyone seems legit. As opposed to CS2 where I saw blatant cheaters every single session. I'm not exaggerating for effect either, it's just that bad.
I stopped playing 2-3 weeks ago because of cheaters and also sold my inventory for real money. I suggest other people who are frustrated do the same, don't sell on the community market, sell it for real money and cash out. I used to be DMG in both wingman and compi in CSGO, now I am Silver 3 and I have an elo of 1700 in Premier... Now, when I have friends inviting, we just play 1 v 1 on CSGO using workshop 1 v 1 maps...
except all that needs to be done is a kernel level anticheat. as much as valorant gets hated on by the cs community, you only need to take 1 glance and see its well worth the tradeoff.
Considering how many people are there attacking anyone who badmouthes Valve, the community will gladly go down with the ship. "Every game has cheaters" is not an argument. None of these developers are investing into developing anti cheats. They are investing in UI and skins (in case you couldn't tell decades later).
Im playing a lot valorant recently cause of the amount of cheaters, how hard it is rank up, and subtick making the game feel like im playing 1 second behind whats actually happening
VALVE was Rigging Matchmaking in CSGO as well. You played 3-4 matches without cheaters you won, Then Valve put you 3-4 matches with enemy cheaters and you lost.... And the cycle went on. for years ! If you see my game rank log its like a standing wave like a PID correction of some sort
I originally left CSGO because of cheaters, but I've finally adjusted my mindset enough to where I can put up with a game knowing or not knowing that there is a cheater on the other team.
I honestly think that the cheating issue is much worse than it was in CS GO. I think that last 10 games I played I had 2 games that didnt have a blatant cheater in it. Also the ranking system for regular competitive was fucked up as well. About half the games we get opponents that are very bad and are losing hard (until usually one of them toggles ragecheats). The other half is players who according to csgo stats were globals in GO. Now me and my friends have been hard stuck between silver and nova 1 since launch even though we had DMG-LE ranks in GO. Its pretty much eating the motivation to play the game.
Personally, I saw a substantial dip in cheaters after CS2 (in MM). I saw huge groups getting banned somehow. Valve is actually in the right direction. There was also this big red medal ban a week ago. Things are actually going good if not best. I'm somewhat impressed so far because I knew some famous cheaters and most of them are banned. Still, kernel level would solve 95%+ cheater problem, I feel. There is also the thing about Valve not suing cheat developers like Gamesense, iniuria, etc. I remember some other games approached this and it helped the games so much.
"Still, kernel level would solve 95%+ cheater problem" Examples of games with AC rootkits that have kernel-level access: PUBG Rainbow 6 Siege Fortnite COD: Warzone Valorant Apex Legends Escape from Tarkov Titanfall 2 What is the common link amongst these games apart from them all being FPS games? They were all, at one point or another, while their AC rootkits were fully functional, completely infested with cheaters to the point of being unplayable. In fact, all of these games, Valorant included, still have a very healthy cheater population, numbering in estimates around 5% give or take a few percentage points going off of bans, reports, player-led studies, etc. AC rootkits have never been and will never be a long term answer against cheaters. Filters, paywalls, trust-based systems, and heuristics have always been the best way short of manual moderation (which is obviously the most resource intensive and highly impractical without community participation). And the future of cheat protection lies in AI-based systems since they're essentially manual moderation automated. Of course, there's the huge issue of false bans, but extensive tuning of the AI AC model as well as a streamlined appeal system should be enough (not to mention every method currently results in significant amounts of false bans, including AC rootkits like Vanguard that have reportedly banned users for third party software not used to cheat in Valorant). I do agree though that being legally complacent is a massive part of why CS2 has such a large and thriving cheater community. They can walk in broad daylight unlike in other games with more litigious developers and publishers because they're safe in knowing that all Valve will do is ban their accounts in the next ban wave without touching their business model or threatening them with cease and desist. Edited some grammar mistakes.
All it really does is make cheats cost more because they require more effort from a cheat devs POV to bypass the AC. Doesn't really solve the problem in the slightest.@@zettour.
@@zettour.Ok but kernel level makes cheats less accessible to the general public as they get more expensive to develop and maintain unlike right now where a $5 cheat in cs2 literally does not get you banned
@@pinetapple2961 AC rootkits have zero relation with manual moderation, unless you suspect a false positive in which case an AC rootkit would make it harder since you'd have to review flagged cases manually.
i feel like the reason people are leaving is more due to missing content. don't get me wrong i 100% agree with you on the anti cheat being garbage and don't get me started on the subtick. But more or less "Valve, fix your goddamn game"
There are a lot of maps missing that I really enjoyed playing on CSGO. That, and Arms Race was one of my favorite modes too. The game kinda gets boring after a little bit playing the same couple of modes over and over again.
Thanks for the video ❤ the more people speak up, the more we have chances for changes. Also voo is an idiot. When CSGO was launched people were still actively playing 1.6 and CSS. With CS2 people cannot play CSGO anymore and everyone switched to CSGO from 1.6 and CSS.
People still play cs because they are mental ill, I have played cs since 2013/2014 and stop 2 years ago since both casual players and some pro players start to be more blatant and everyone just accepting it like it was normal. Generations now a days take in the ass and complain but keep taking in the ass, that's anoying af... Is it that hard to quit on something you don't like? Is it hard to not accept what's not right? Valve is making millions and doing the same sht EA does to their fan base, pooping in their mouth. And to be honest the problem is not the anti-cheat, it's the mentality of the people, that reflects in the mind of the population. We are not evolving anymore, we are turning into monkeys.
I haven't played a single premier game (~50 wins, ~8k elo) with someone obviously cheating in it... Must be in the minority but I also never ran into cheaters in CSGO whilst being Global for many years.
I was on the verge of quitting when every single premier game I qued had a blatant cheater. Then, me and my friends started just turning all the maps on and queing oldschool competitive. The games arent the highest quality, but at least there are no cheaters. For now.
I've been doing that solo queue while my friend can't play. I've been accused of cheating 3 times so far so people are paranoid even in matchmaking. Though I guess it doesn't help that I played most of my placement matches with a friend that is legitimately silver and I got placed into silver myself while I used to be consistently at DMG and up to LE back in CSGO
You literally HAVE to play faceit if you don't want cheaters. It is sad. Valve needs intrusive anti cheat immediately. I don't give a shit if Valve can see my google history lmao
@@OMGiTzSpAnKy I have like 1000 matches and I get notification from leetify whenever a player gets banned, I have had probably 3 cheaters ever in my faceit games
I pretty much only play casual and ive never encountered a cheater. Typically no body cares they're just there to fart around and have fun. Occasionally you get people ghosting in discord but thats about the worst of it. The cheating problem seems to be strickly rank related which makes sense to some degree. You get people that want to win at ANY cost. Or they think everyone else is doing it so they are gonna do it. And from a griefing perspective it takes little to no effort to get a ranked player screaming into their mic, even without the use of a cheat. I hope they can figure something out to save the competitive players. This is CS after all, a large handful of the player bases are dedicated comp players.
Makes me wonder what kind of trust factor people have that they're constantly playing against cheaters. Played 20+ matches in beta and 30+ after release, not one person I can reasonably assume was cheating
we just checked stats of csgo games, out of 18 csgo games 1 had 12 cheaters another had 20 games with 19 cheaters. you think it changed in cs2? i just played with a friend who wants to try out cs2 we played like 8 games i guarantee you 7 had cheaters.
I think this is mostly problem of guite high ranked players(csgo DMG+) , but, we low ranked players, have another problem in premier. Since there is no downranking in premier under 4000points, everyone with skill csgo between silver 1-gold nova master is stuck at 4000+-500points, and this makes for truly terrible skill matching.
They should just let u AFK when you see an obvious hacker without getting your trust factor reduced at least you won't have to waste your time in that session. You're literally held hostage until it's over.
20k elo above every match sure have hacker , I really don't know what to do 😢 no joke , yesterday 5 hacker in a team , then two game with waller on opponent 😢😢 cs2 is dead
A friend who I've been playing with was off CS for 6 years due to the cheaters in CSGO, he promised to try again with Source 2 and has been met with this bullsh*t. Yes, plenty of cheaters.
i began playing CSGO in late 2016, achieving supreme with over 1700 hours, after a few years out of the game ive come back to CS2, With a prem score of 5000 i am finding that almost every game there is someone who blatantly toggles when it looks like they are about to lose. I was so excited to get back into counter strike, but im quickly realising AGAIN that the only way to play the game properly is by paying for esea or faceit (which i previously have done but rank is too high and im no longer very good lol)
A huge problem is people soft hacking… turning on walls a few times in a game to give you an advantage mid round even though it will mess you up because a person can just rotate positions early is so stupid, for one people hack because of how many people feel can get away with it and they need to “have the advantage”. What it begins to do though is cause you to use hacks like a bad habit, and if during your game you are getting killed by a player consistently you automatically assume it’s a hacker because since you hack, everyone else has to potential to, so you begin to soft wall even more and more because you believe the other people are hacking when they may not be and just are having a good game. Once a working anti cheat is used in CS2 I bet many accounts will be banned and skins lost. The worst part is it feels like valve is relying on these people who hack because they are the ones who actually play.
1. Make the game only for people who pay. 2. Start banning cheaters. I dont know how and I dont care. You have the AI and everything, you figure it out. 3. Don't let once banned cheater to ever play again (mac/ip/anything like that ban so those losers dont make another account and just keep trolling forever). 4. Stop paying people for playing.
As annoying as it is to lose to a cheater, it would be somehow endurable if the reporting system actually worked. I haven't got any notification about a player reported by me being banned in CS2, though, nor do I remember getting one in the last year playing CS:GO. This just creates the impression that Valve doesn't care at all. Preventing cheating is difficult. Punishing it should be easy enough, though.
Well, I'm just a casual player who only plays deathmatches, but the reporting system seems to work. Every day I report at least two extreme and very obvious cheaters and they get banned. The problem is that the cheaters just open another account and cheat again. At least cheaters are then easily spotted to report them again.
i really start to believe, the cheaters are in CS2 and doing it blatantly simply to kill the game, so that people move to valorant or other Chinese based games
I had 2 reasons why I quit CS:GO, after 5 years of sweaty grinding, and switched to Valorant: 1: Too many angry russians screaming in the microphone, 2: The vast amount of cheaters. In Valorant, I can remove the servers with the most Russians, and I have yet to meet ONE SINGLE obvious hacker.
Why would Valve really care as long as the market of skins is thriving. It's just a game put on top of a skin market at this point. They don't care about the game, they care about the money skins make them. The game has all the right to finally die.
Valve needs to learn from Riot a thing or two about Anti Cheat. If only players would take part of this too and agree with an actual software like Vanguard installed in their system. It would make things much more easier.
people wishing for riot's intrusive anticheat for cs2 is proof these guys are willing to sacrifice their whole privacy just to play a game, that is sick addiction

At the age of 31 or so, I quit playing FPS games altogether because of the prevalence of cheaters in CS:Go, Apex Legends, and just about every other FPS game I enjoyed. I quit gaming because of cheaters.
The cheaters have won. Online competitive gameplay is dead.

Its funny how valve cant detect cheats. But when u leave ur faceit anticheat on valve detects it and doesnt let you play unless you disable it
As a network software engineer, I can say that with a good server/client architecture and extremely low development costs, Valve could prevent every kind of cheating imaginable (except Aimlock). But Valve doesn't do that because Valve makes much more money from the hackers who get banned in regular waves than from the normal players. After a ban, a cheater buys a new account.

Packet loss was not really happening was more of a UI error that they have since fixed, but there is no packet loss from subtick.
the players either silently using wallhacks
was never convinced by the silent wallhacker accusations.

In my first ten matches there were two blatantly obvious cheaters (one spin botting, the other hitting wall bangs from across the map) and 7 disconnects in the first 3-9 rounds. I had one good game, luckily it was soo much fun that I kept playing. But two of my friends who started with me havent touched the game after that and I honestly cant blame them.

And btw...who cares about anti-cheat when you can now inspect the bomb...
I just picked the game up last week after not having played CS for some 13+ years and I started to really love it. It's the cheating and the voip spam bots that really ruin this game. title should be "CS2 Is Killing CS2"
yeah
Why is everyone surprised. Giving cs a new skin won’t change how shit valve are. Player base is already dying lol
I have not played CS2, but I used to be a huge FPS player, and I will say that I stopped playing FPS, especially call of duty, on PC due to cheaters.
They were rewarding cheaters by giving them legit players to play against.
@@wr9601 Correct
I originally left CSGO because of cheaters, but I've finally adjusted my mindset enough to where I can put up with a game knowing or not knowing that there is a cheater on the other team.
You know it’s bad when the Roblox version deals with cheaters.
Its pretty much eating the motivation to play the game.
take a break, most cheaters and GEs are still grinding their way back (mostly bc cs2 doesn't want to give a good starting rank for the love of god)
I've left... not even my wife could get me away from my PC....but cheaters did.
You are not the only one. I quit playing about a week ago as well due to cheaters
Movement sucks, consistency sucks, game sucks
Personally, I saw a substantial dip in cheaters after CS2 (in MM). I saw huge groups getting banned somehow. Valve is actually in the right direction. There was also this big red medal ban a week ago. Things are actually going good if not best. I'm somewhat impressed so far because I knew some famous cheaters and most of them are banned.
Still, kernel level would solve 95%+ cheater problem, I feel.
There is also the thing about Valve not suing cheat developers like Gamesense, iniuria, etc. I remember some other games approached this and it helped the games so much.
"Still, kernel level would solve 95%+ cheater problem"
Examples of games with AC rootkits that have kernel-level access:
PUBG
Rainbow 6 Siege
Fortnite
COD: Warzone
Valorant
Apex Legends
Escape from Tarkov
Titanfall 2
What is the common link amongst these games apart from them all being FPS games?
@@zettour. yea but kernel ac helps manual moderation
@@GracefulEloquence cache was one of my favorite maps to play competitive in, shame they took it out. Arms race was also a really fun mode
No wonder ESEA and FACEit are growing back slowly
Its has the same faith as Overwatch 2 if they dont do anything about it.
Only NA has this problem. havent gone against a single cheater
yay. i was so hyped to get back to CS but my excitement quickly died down after encountering BLATANT cheaters match after match
Valorant.
Obviously at 8K elo lol. That is very lo
Why would I play the game and try when I can’t tell if I’m getting better or just getting Fkd by losers buying scripts
I got Silver 4 to silver master in all maps in Competitive i used to be Nova Mater to DMG before in CS GO
IVE PLAYED 23 YEARS AND IM ON THE VERGE OF LEAVING IM JUST LOOKING FOR A GOOD ENUF REPLACEMENT
You literally HAVE to play faceit if you don't want cheaters. It is sad. Valve needs intrusive anti cheat immediately. I don't give a shit if Valve can see my google history lmao
Delusional if you think faceit is cheater free, they just play more legit so they don't get banned.
@@OMGiTzSpAnKy
I mean it's certainly better Tham what we had the last 10 years
@@otakurt1149 10 years ago CS barely had any cheaters. I was a SMFC on CSGO in the early days before Overwatch was even a thing.
@@OMGiTzSpAnKy I have like 1000 matches and I get notification from leetify whenever a player gets banned, I have had probably 3 cheaters ever in my faceit games
Ohne talking about the nr. 1 and 2, they are legit players lmao. Why you put that clip in? JoJo and Laski are legit.
Stop updating map fixes and util bugs and fix the anti chwat and no one would complain about it at all.
Makes me wonder what kind of trust factor people have that they're constantly playing against cheaters. Played 20+ matches in beta and 30+ after release, not one person I can reasonably assume was cheating
Its region-based. EU North are the worst infected region... some regions are lucky
we just checked stats of csgo games, out of 18 csgo games 1 had 12 cheaters another had 20 games with 19 cheaters. you think it changed in cs2?
i just played with a friend who wants to try out cs2 we played like 8 games i guarantee you 7 had cheaters.
Cheaters are great people. Don't rub dirt in their community. You psycho!
CS2 should die out and bring back CS:GO!!!
I played csgo a good bit on my budget PC so I'm leaving because I barely can run it on 20 fps at minimum settings
i began playing CSGO in late 2016, achieving supreme with over 1700 hours, after a few years out of the game ive come back to CS2, With a prem score of 5000 i am finding that almost every game there is someone who blatantly toggles when it looks like they are about to lose.
Guys CS 2 anticheat is so low or none that you wont get banned even if u use public mod😊
(just for information so that u know)😁
why does it look like the host is smoking some heavy stuff, he is looking worse for every video
5k-10k the most active cheater
I had 2 reasons why I quit CS:GO, after 5 years of sweaty grinding, and switched to Valorant:
1: Too many angry russians screaming in the microphone,
2: The vast amount of cheaters.
It would make things much more easier.
i reported multiple confirmed youtube cheaters and nothing happened.. dont know what they r doing at valve looks to me they still on vacation xD
people wishing for riot's intrusive anticheat for cs2 is proof these guys are willing to sacrifice their whole privacy just to play a game, that is sick addiction
