Barnegat Light Channel Changes

Notice to mariners & fishing report update for Thursday August 25, 2022 - The Barnegat Light Channel has officially changed with USCG-ATON changing the placement of the buoys. The “old" channel is no longer marked and the “cut” is now marked. Scout it out and get familiar with the change and layout. A LOT of boaters got hung up, high and dry today and it’s only going to continue until the state gets a couple danger buoys placed.

Any time! I try to do my part to help others. Some don't run the area as much and get get caught up in confusion looking at their GPS and the buoys and make the wrong turn at the wrong time.

That's boating in the area! Things are always changing. Most areas don't have sandbars in the middle of the channel like we do in Double Creek.
