Great job on the technical information. Any thoughts on the pro star fury oiling system? Looks like sxs blog seized one doing cyclones. Seems like such a long engine turned sideways could result in oil sloshed all the way to the back in certain situations.
You guys should do a video on the Turbo R, I have one on order. The Pro Rs were all called for and I didn't want to wait. I feel like the Turbo R has a lot of nice upgrades but is getting overlooked.
So you are so correct the travel should only be measured by the center of the hub not anything else, some people think that lifting the center of the vehicle and measuring from the bottom of the vehicle to the ground, they think that's how much travel you have, when that is also not the case.
I don’t mind the belt for all the reasons Justin has stated. I would much rather see a open lockable rear differential. And this wouldn’t be that hard to do in the pro R as it is a separate unit. This would allow running in four-wheel-drive with both differentials open the advantage to that would be less wear and tear on the components when it wasn’t as necessary. And you could also add cutting brakes
Thats cool but doesn't SpeedUTV have a patent on the lower A arm mount design? Is RZR ready to fight the lawsuit? I dunno. I don't own either. Just a fly on the wall here but Polaris stepped up from ATVs to UTVs and Speed stepped down from trophy trucks to UTVs. I dunno man. I think I'd rather invest in a small trophy truck then a big quad
Not yet. The reason is they are larger in diameter than any other system and the outer tie rod joint needs to have an angle put into it to allow for full droop and turning. You can't run a straight tie rod and rod end on this system. So, in short, it requires a larger pin kit and a custom tie rod to work. All of which we are on right now. Will be done soon. Maybe a month.
What's your thoughts with the front diff finally turning the same speed as the rear? and any chance it will make its way down to the cheaper polaris utv's
I’m planning on getting a Pro R pretty soon. I mostly ride on the rocks. I was wondering if y’all plan on making a softer sway bar setup for it. I will more than likely remove the front sway bar.
What if you have proper race seats in the Pro R. Will be difficult to change the belt then? Think in a race situation. Reportedly the belt holds up really well, also on the 2.000 ccm, but still.
I was curious about the skid plate. I haven't seen anyone mention anything about it on the Pro R. Is it still a flimsy piece or did they beef it up like they did everything else?
Great video! One suggestion would to keep the questions coming in related to the topic. I clicked to watch about the Pro R not about a guy with an X3 alignment problem.
@@ShockTherapyllc The reason I asked is because in the video he states that the turbo R did not get a dual clutch transmission because that belt absorbs some of the shock in the drive train. He states they would’ve had to have a bigger suspension and drivetrain parts to absorb the shock. Yet Honda has a dual clutch transmission and doesn’t seem like their components are beefed up for the added shock that the dual clutch transmission suffer. I’m just curious about the discrepancy.
The quality of your video production has has notably increased, lot easier to listen to.
I think Justin was looking for the term "pure sport" @ 6:30ish... I had to rack my brain too

The new oil system is similar to a dry sump system. Should not have scavenge issues. Have to see what the future holds.

I second that!
Agreed
I ordered one as well. I agree 100% it’s getting overlooked
We will do that as soon as we have one.

Are there any upgrades for the dynamics shocks? Also is it true they come with a dual rate spring kit from the factory?

The YXZ's don't have a belt @ 25:00 till 26:00 PLUS...... How are they doing it??
No turbo. Less power. Add power break parts, add cost👍
Is my 17xp4 turbo stage 4 with iqs shocks even comparable to the newer dynamics system and new suspension?
It is. Your good. 👍
Do you guys have bump steer delete rods for the pro R yet? Was massive upgrade for my x3 ! Also going to need some spring for the walker shocks!

@@justinsmith2958 awesome, appreciate the input definitely keeping my eye out for release!

Love it. Pulls much better. Doubt that it will make it down to other models.
I'm thinking when its a race car the seats won't be coming out with the push of a button.
You are correct but the Matlock make a pretty sweet quick pin system that is fast

Yes we will be making bars and sway bar arms with adjust ability.
what about water coming over the hood and getting in the belt breather intake. will it flood the belt with water???
No. It has multiple chambers in it to channel water out.
Fyi can't find the commander xtp on the website
In Canada the retail is 51k before tax for the ProR 2 seater.
Thats cuz you dollars are smaller. LOL

As long as they are mounted to the factory plate they are quick. I believe this is how the Matlock’s did it fir the 1000
Can we get air-conditioned unit?
Did I hear that correctly the Pro R won’t be street legal even in AZ?
Any talk of a 64" pro R?
love the videos
I was curious about the skid plate. I haven't seen anyone mention anything about it on the Pro R. Is it still a flimsy piece or did they beef it up like they did everything else?
Great question and I’m sorry to say I forgot to look. I will ask.
I just order a new Turbo R will I need to upgrade the springs and will you be making limit straps for it as well?
Yes sir. spring kits and straps are in the works already.
being over 1000 cc motor, do you think a helmet will still be required at glamis for the PRO R?
Helmet required? Who doesn't wear a helmet willingly?
Great video! One suggestion would to keep the questions coming in related to the topic. I clicked to watch about the Pro R not about a guy with an X3 alignment problem.
LOL
Has there been any talk about a high performance all electric UTV from any manufacturer?
yes, there is one out this year from all-new manufacture. plus Polaris already has one Ranger I believe look it up on youtube.
Ya and it comes with a generator so you can charge it when you’re out on the trail
How can Honda get away with their DCT transmission and not have overbuilt suspension and drivetrain components that drive the weight and cost way up?
Simple, no turbo. Add one and everything will have to get bigger, heavier and more expensive.

@@peterw2714 as I said. Add more power things change. Honda would need a belt or bigger parts or both if they made 225 hp.
Changing belt with aftermarket harnesses a pain?
I don't think so since the belts are attached to the lower seat tray that moves and removes from the UTV
