Wow! this is old stuff. Alfredo de la fe, is a skinny kid here with beard. George Dalto on piano. May he rest in peace. He was the baddest latin jazz pianist ever. For those of you that never heard of this guy or ever got to see him play; this guy can play anything. One of the nicest people too. Sweet man! Argentian I believe he was. And of course the master LP man himself, TP. RIP! googo
George Dalto, was one of the most amazing pianist ever in the latin jazz scene. I knew him personally, and can attest to this man's ability as a musician and soloist. He was nothing short of amazing. Even Hilton would agree were he still around. RIP Dalto, Hilton, TP.
Great music! My dad played with Tito in Central Park, he was just a teen with an upside down garbage can. Love hearing him play and I love to play too now!
Tan fino y agresivamente decadente sinfonico, mi estilo favorito...
I agree. i first saw George in Chicago and got his number. He was playing in a lounge, but even still his talent was evident. I called him to come play with Esquivel and he did until we went to Canada, then he headed to New York and the rest is history. Several of the band members would jam late after our gig at the Trojan Horse in Seattle and I would sing. I was one of Esquivel's singers at the time. It was like flying with George...nothing like it.
I been dancing to this track for years in London Jazz rooms, so it is great to actually see it being performed (quite surreal in fact). Thanks for posting this.
The LPJE Allstars @ Montreaux perf Bacalao con Pan-a truly awesome audiovisual moment! This is what real music is about.Did the late great Jorge Dalto ever record a bad record(now that's a rhetorical question)! To all those who remember dancin'to this @ Paul Murphy's Electric Ballroom fusion dance sessions circa 1982-84.
Orchestra IRAKERE of CUBA coat the subject fish with Bread, but this version of TITO PUENTE is another thing new JAZZ and LATINJAZZ, Brilliant, Crazy, Surprising. MONTREAUX TOUR L.P.PRODUCTIONS

The pianist is the great Jorge Dalto, my favorite pianist Puente ever used in one of his bands
Bless G. Dalto ! He worked a lot with Georges Benson, and he really introduced in the world, what we call now "fusion jazz"...
Thanks Master Dalto !

Vintage Alfredo de la Fe on violin is a legend in Colombia and NY. Nice to see Alfredo back in the day.

The late great Jorge Dalto on piano who played the solo on George Bensons Masquerade
Along with Patato, Tito, de la Fe, Dalto, there is Mike Viñas on bass. This band rocks.
Tito Puente-timbale drums; Carlos Patato Valdez-conga drums; Alfredo de la Fe-violin; Micheal Vinas-bass, Jorge Dalto-piano.

Respect Tchalla. For those who know, and remember the real original London Jazz sessions.

no exteriorice su ignorancia. usted realmente no tiene la más mínima idea de lo que habla, ni mucho menos idea de quién es Chucho Valdés.
