Merry Clayton also sang and acted in the motion picture Red Shoes Diary singing When Our Worlds Come Together and the closing credits song On The Other Side ❤
this kind of voice....you cant compare it to anyone. Ive been listening to her since Im a little guy of 4 yrs old. Im 55 now. And when I was a kid I couldnt figure out why or how she kept my attention. But yrs past, and you hear so many singers trying to sound like somebody else, and it dawns on you why she stands out, with some of the greatest vocalists this country's ever produced. Her greatness starts with a "break" in her voice...some people even call it " a tear". I like calling it a break, because Im always reminded of how her voice broke in 'Gimme Shelter' as she reached for an octave that she sorta pulled off but didnt...but the result was magnificent. That note as she belted "rape!....murderrrrrr!", is the break of the century. On the basis of that one recording alone, she belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as far as Im concerned.
She has such a Powerful voice, I didn't know about her accident, I only knew she sang with the Rolling Stones, What a Voice, God Bless her...
Sending you all love and light❤You are a beautiful blessing to every one of us who adore your heavenly voice and soul. Thank you, Ms. Clayton!
She’s an incredible singer and a true inspiration!!! I had no idea about her accident.

ONE OF THE BEST
I didn't know she sang Gimme Shelter. It's a hauntingly beautiful song. She's a beautiful spirit. Love how she shares her story & her faith.
Lost her legs in 2014? I am devastated - this poor darling. I had no idea. God bless her.
“When the world turns blue” is my favorite by her.
❤ love her.
