Thank you for the video! I have a BS40. Replaced the filter caps and still having a bit of trouble. If I barely play at a very low volume it does fine. If I barely dig in or barely turn up it starts to motor boat. Going to replace the rest of the caps. The orange drops ect... Thanks again for the video! Cheers
they are great indeed, as are vintage dynacrod an hohner orgaphone amps. I happen to have a Echolette M80-Pa-Amp that has an unbelieveable clean sound, as well as the Ng-51 Tape Echo which is not only an affordable tube-tape-echo but also has a great preamp section which can be used as an overdrive....
Thanx. You can change to 6L6 in the BS-40, it works. My friend use to have 2x BS40, one with EL45 (Plexi) and one w/6L6 (Bassman) :) I use to have the Echolette B40N w/ ECC83 in the preamp ... it is a bit more british :)
I own an identical BS-40.Make sure you replace every capacitor in those amps. The electrolytics and the other small ones (ERO brand) tend to leak in those amps.
@@OdessaZhivagoit could have been the Perfect Marshall if Marshall was as good as an Echoiette BS 40 is but unfortunately it's not, pirla. You have to try it and to record it to understand what the perfect amp is.

I no longer own the amp but plan on picking up another echolette, the s100 for a rebuild project so good to know! Thanks 👍

Soon 100 subs, great video
Thank you!!
I wish you didn’t have echo ...
Is there echo on this? It sounds like I hear echo
That echo is really annoying.
Thanks for the video! Your guitar needs urgent attention. It's either worn frets or a very poor setup.
What a bad "computer-plugin" sounding....
