    Just make all your siding on your house mirrors, reflection 100 % of the light. Then your house will be cool and the neighbor s adjacent to your house and next to you will be scorching hot. LOL!

      @Cody-cs9hj 6 лет назад +3

      White paint reflects about the same amount of light as a mirror, but the light is scattered in all directions with the paint. So you don’t get to see a reflected image.

      What white paint with maximum light reflection do you recommend for painting walls? Because paint White 2.0 is expensive for walls. I want to paint my plant growing room under LED light.

      I just went from dark brick red to a slight blueish tint white color, and it dropped my house temp 10/15 degrees so far.

      Yeah it definitely works, I went from a Prussian blue to white and overall temperatures are so much nicer so much so that so far Im surviving winter with just a fan and thriving.

    These white coatings are most effective when applied to flat roof surfaces like garage roofs. Look at a satellite image of Phoenix Arizona and you'll see every single flat commercial roof, as well as flat garage roofs of residences are ALL painted white.

    Brian is SUCH a GENIUS...news flash...ultraviolet light does NOT transmit heat.
    INFRARED HEAT (the other side of the spectrum) does...by radiative conversion of light into heat.

    Don't those heat reading guns fan out the further they are away from the object you are trying to read the temperature and average it?
    For example if you were 12" from the board, the temperature sample would be 10" round...so what I am saying hold the gun a lot closer to get a more accurate measurement of what you specifically want instead of an sum of partially the other boards but mostly the one you exclusively wanted?

    White only reflects light, you want an additive in paint that reflects infra red light which is about 1/2 the energy of sunlight. I don't know why that guy is talking about UV light
