Wow this unit is absolutely gorgeous! The screen is beautiful and wow the sound quality is phenomenal. I broke the video into two videos one going to be unboxing. Stay tune for the fitment and first look into software.

You turned the ignition on with the passenger airbag indicator to the right of the screen unplugged. So I know that the SRS airbag light on the gauge cluster was on. When installing these radios if there is an airbag/SRS indicator on the dash that you disconnected, before you turn the key or energize the ignition of the vehicle you need to plug it in even if it’s just hanging loose from the panel and not mounted. That way you don’t set off the airbag indicator on the cluster. Some vehicles require an obd scanner capable of clearing SRS systems to turn it off. Just a helpful suggestion from my years of 12v install experience.

Very deceiving.
Note that the radio is not particularly secure, as it is not attached to a bracket. 2015 Corolla was rear-ended (air bags did not deploy), but the Dasaita radio popped out. A higher impact collision could have been worse.
What happened?

Hey John, is that the best unit you recommend for a Toyota corolla? I have a 2014 just like your cousin, but my touch screen is a piece of shit and has gone out in most areas. I want to upgrade but not sure if it would be too expensive to get the floating head unit or if you recommend this one better.

My radio is all static I believe I plugged each one in correctly the GPS works wifi the sound the backup cam the door ajar etc except the antenna

That is so cool. I have a much much older Toyota Corolla, a 2001. I was looking at a single din 7 inch Joying Android head unit, but not a 100% sure if it will fit well. Do you have any experience install single din head unit in a much a older model car with single din and do you have any recommendation of a unit that will work and fit well in an old 2001 Corolla?

From your videos l have not seen you alter other things like subwoofers, amplifiers or speakers. So l guess you will use the existing ones when you do your installations is that correct?

It uses every existing and it has a port for one av it looks like but my issue is I have 2 amps sub and 3 sets of av so I don't think that would work in this radio

Hi John, I just installed this unit in my 2014 Toyota corolla. I am noticing issues with FM reception. It tunes into the radio stations, but the quality of reception is poor. As you drive around I get static. I tripled checked all the wiring and everything looks good. Have you come up with this problem? Do you have a solution?
make sure you get a good ground.
Also some FM/AM adapters they include might no be amplify (usually a blue wire). Check the radio harness and if you don't have it amplify i would highly recommend you getting one on amazon for about ~$10.

2014 2018 doesn't use the fascia. I but one that says 2014 to 2019 and it is not the same.

All those door opened/closed, and AC stuff. Is that just because it's custom tailored for this car model or would it work on ant car? Does it work through OBD2?
The oem headunit gets information through the harness. Dasaita has technology in the canbus to read it.
