I SIMPLY LOVE THIS HEADUNIT!!! It is not as famous or popular as Alpine or Pioneer brands, but it is just as good in terms of quality if not better. It is worth every penny. Best of all, it is mostly plug and play. Trimming modification for the fitment presented a bit of a challenge initially, but that was the only hurdle. You don't need to be an expert to install this. Anyone can learn to do this on their own without having to go to the pros and spend lots of money.
He does a work of Art. Very professional. Love the soldering and the shrinkwrapping using the heat gun.

@@ozzy1427 I give it 4.8 out of 5. For the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) function to work, it requires a separate kit with a head unit plug-in receiver and either a external or internal tire sensors.
@Sjonzie oh right on thanks for that heads up also does it work with the steering wheel controls?
@@ozzy1427 on my 2014 Toyota Corolla it does. Also, I had to use a dremmel tool to shave a tab off the back of the face plate so it could slide into place. Once I did that, perfect fit!

I recently decided to give a try and install a 10" Stereo as you guy's.. Mine was installed in my family 99 Dodge Van Ram.. The stereo unit for the most part works as it's supposed to.. My only concern is the visual statics of the screen that sticks out the from the dash panel 1 1/2". But if you face the screen itself it's jus fine.. Although, when we get inside the Van to go for a quick drive or whatever.. You can see the thin brackets from the sides of the Stereo unit sticking out the sides. I'm not really happy with my handy work experience.. As it is, it should be worked on more.. I am not happy living with it's sides being seen by others.. You finished up with your installation in a very professional way..

That's a bummer mine looks as good a a stock camry 2012 Hybrid with the stock Harmon Kardon system in it.. I was amazed with the the fit and finish.....3 hours later it was done with about zero experience putting in car sterios....and the sound is incredible
I put one in my 1988 c1500 silverado truck . Good job !!! But i m not done yet with my install got to solder the last two wires... man it is cold here !!!!
Is the company going to update the radio so NO notching/grinding mods are needed?
Hi pretty please answer. My battery light came on when I installed my android CarPlay. Do you know any reasons why? It’s bright red and the check oil light and traction came on. Those weren’t there before installation.
I just installed this head unit today on my 2015 Toyota Corolla. I bought the Dasaita Vivid11 and I can’t figure out how to display when the doors are open or hvac on the screen or how to get the Toyota boot logo. Or the tpms to display any help would be appreciated
I actually needed to remove one of the clips that holds the dash to make it fit. Also the hazard light button is a bit tight that it doesn’t bound back but i have to pull it whenever i press it. Corolla 2016 here.

I just installed this Dasaita with the vivid11 today and my hazard button is tight also. I have to pull it to cut them off also.
I bet when Lorenzo did James original install, James was like "No I'll never change the factory radio yaddie yaddie." Several months later.....
Wasn't that supposed to be custom fit for the car ? Sure was a lot of trimming going on if it was.

great job. I am using the Dasaita head unit on my CX5 (2013) I've got a quick questions though. After wiring and installing, I noticed that there's an animation on the screen when my doors are opened. However, when I open the front right door, the animation that the front left door is open, and vice versa. I don't have this problem with the back doors. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I just installed this unit and I ddn't cut into my car's frame as shown @ 7:06, all I did was trim the tabs on the Dasaita unit. Just in case in the future another aftermarket head unit is built correctly.
Hi I am interested in doing this upgrade and wondering about the installation. by trimming do you mean breaking off the top tabs on the dasaita unit? I saw another video of someone doing that. did you need to modify oem parts? I would like to preserve the oem trim.
@@DR19X Yes I mean break off the tabs (2) on the Dasaita unit, because the Dasaita unit was made incorrectly. No I didn't mod the OEM mating part. FYI even w/o the 2 tabs it still works great. I think I removed 2 tabs and 2 small indentations to make this Dasaita unit snap in seemlessly.

@@DR19X Overall I'm happy and wish I did this upgrade earlier. I can't think of any major issues I've encoundered, everything was plug and play. I used the wired mic that came with the kit and no complaint so far. The built in mic on the unit is not good, it picks up lots of background road noise. I installed the wired mic on the ceiling above my head, and when I'm on the phone they can hear me clearly with minimum road noise.
Am gonna buy one am tired of looking at my phone for directions my other cars have apple car play my Corolla doesn’t and with gas prices the way they are all I drive is my Corolla right now

In your opinion, what's the best android running 7" head unit that contains a volume knob? I watched the video on the pumkpin model (from about 8 months ago) but it had terrible audio quality. There's a newer model, AA0505B-A08, and I didn't know if that one had the same problem.

Have you done this install on a Toyota Corolla 2018 that has a slightly different dash? The one we have has a circular hazard button on the left, while the airbag lights are part of the fascia. I haven't found Daisata models that have this kind of dash kit/fascia.
I did purchase the Dasita 10 but can’t connect to android Auto my phone is Galaxy with Android 12. Can yuPLS help.
You may need to do a Firmware update on the radio. Also make sure that your Android version is the latest.

It looks like y'all have experience with the dasaita units. I have the dasaita in my 2013 camaro and for the life of me can't figure out how to get it to dim when headlights come on..if it will even do that. The lighting wire IS connected..I know I'm just missing a setting change or something. Any suggestions ? Thank you

It's a pneumatic disc sander, available virtually everywhere.
Is there a way to add a stand alone Satellite radio system to this unit , since it doesnt have the 3.5mm jack ?
Why not just use the SiriusXM app via CarPlay/android auto? It’ll work off cell signal which is much better audio quality as well

I have a problem where my drivers side speaker on my 1998 chevy silverado and it won't play any sounds out of the speaker. Can you help?
As much as we can without being there! Do you have an external amplifier or are they simply wired to the head unit? So the issue could be multiple things, blown speaker, broken/shorted speaker wire, bad connection in the back of the stereo with the speaker wire. You kind of have to go through a process of elimination. An easy way to test if it's the speaker that has blown is to use the wiring from a working speaker and see if it plays.
I have a 2014 Tundra and with this unit it has the key1 key2 wires and I'm having trouble hooking them up for the steering wheel control any opinion on what to do

Is there any chance to use factory microphone? As I see most of the factory functions offered (steering wheel controls, rear view camera....) but what about factory mic?
Factory mic generally has to be replaced with what is included. They often don't work with other brands.
With these dasita units, what do you guys think is the better route for running external amps; boosting the the pre-out signals with a line driver (like a Matrix Pus) or using the integrated amp and hooking it up to something like an LC2 or LC6, ext like you did with the Pumpkin unit?
Referring to the universal 10.2" model in my case.
The 2014-2018 models has Toyota's outdated Entunes 2.0 and Toyota won't upgrade it. Only the new 2020 model with version 3.0 will get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. As you know, Toyota had refused to support Android Auto until 2019. I hate that Toyota won't offer an update like Mazda did making owners stuck with the outdated infotainment system
Is there anyway I can get a copy of the user manual that came with your unit. I didn't get one at all and it would be nice to have one so that i can learn to use some of the advanced features and take full advantage of the benefits it offers. Let me know...

Did you lose any vehicle settings?
Are you sure you had to cut the factory trim on the car? Was there a way to do it by only cutting the radio trim? The company never said you had to damage your own car. What if that compromises future installs of different systems? Did you figure out that you didnt have to cut the car trim as you kept installing or was it absolutely necessary to cut both the car and the radio trim
I just bought this unit and I just thought the same thing after watching this. I kinda feel im going to have a hard time finding someone who is going to be willing to do this.
I bought a similar unit. I cut only the after market plastic trim... Three top tabs. And made a notch on after market trim as demonstrated here. Did not need to do any damage to factory stuff. Everything fit securely after modifying the aftermarket trim.

Hello I just got this but have a question about playing music. Do I need a hotspot to play my music on Spotify via Bluetooth and do I need a hotspot to use the Apple CarPlay? Thanks!
The hot spot is not required for Bluetooth. Bluetooth is its own source and connection, like any other bluetooth device. You don't need to use hotpsot for wireless apple carplay, just connect to the stereo's wifi

Your current audio leg is most definitely caused by whatever headunit you have now. This is a completely new unit, you'll have a new and better experience
I bought mine just a year ago for my 09 toyota camry. Sounds great. But i do have problems F.M. /A.M. Reception. I tried EVENTHING POSSIBLE to ADD for better Reception. Still nothing. I did purchase there 10.2 universal Dasaita
The am/fm in android units are extremely weak. I don't ever use the radio, but when I do, it's a static mess 90% of the time so I just stick to streaming

wow they upgraded preamp outputs to 2 volts, your half way there. 2 volt preamp is horrible
