    About the speakers:
    Fatemeh is a 4th-year PhD student in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Toronto, conducting research under the guidance of Dr. Jason Maynes at the Hospital for Sick Children. Her work focuses on unleashing the regenerative potential of the young heart to pioneer innovative metabolic therapies for heart failure. Fatemeh holds a master's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Western Ontario. She is also a two-time recipient of the prestigious Mito2i student scholarship award. Beyond her academic pursuits, Fatemeh maintains a profound interest in feline companions and is an avid cultivator of botanical life.
    The annual Ted Rogers Centre Heart Failure Symposium, which blends clinical innovations with the latest scientific advances, has grown to become Canada’s largest conference on heart failure.
