- this had been a stolen recovery ! my buddy had some problems so we got it figured out so he could get to work !

Thanks Walden. I have a 2000 750 and I went from having power to the dash and getting it to crank, but not start to not having any power to the dash and no power. I just got the ignition kit a few minutes ago. I'm going to head back to where my bike is and try some of the things you did on this video.

My wiring was as messed up as my wife’s hair in the morning!
Once I watched you vid,
It was like some one had put a conditioner in there.
As the wiring didn’t seem as messed up as before.

As never had the knowledge to start thinking about fixing me bike.
After watching your clip. I went out and fixed Speedo, Rev counter and side stand switch in half hour.
It stat with these issues as I didn’t know what the fuck to do.
Fixed now though.

I see you pretty good I have a 2013 gsxr that had the same problem , somebody cut the wires I bought a new switch matched the colors but no power when I turn the key Theron position. The red wire came out of the pigtail and accidentally touch the orange wire the EVERYTHING CAME ON WITHOUT TURNING THE SWITCH all the lights came on blinkers work horn but I can't tell if it's in 1,2,3 or neutral can tou please.... jelp
Some of those switched have a resistor in them n won’t start if it’s bad ! I sends 5 volts to cdi rthis turn on the system! Did you get the correct switch from dealer or one from eBay
There is a gear selection sensor on side of engine by transmission, u can find in on partzilla diagram for your year n model , but if u got wires cut there is no telling what last owner did !
@Walden's World I have an OEM ignition the only problem is the harness wires are
O with/Y stripe , red , brown and O with/green stripe and ORANGE
The OEM switch came with :
O with/Y stripe , RED the red wire has a black and yellow , and an additional RED wire all tied in 1 from factory. Then there's a brown , ORANGE , and a GRAY wire! I've located all these wires throughout my bike but I like how you did that but I was little hard see understand
To see from the view you had it in I would like to fix my bike 🏍 so that this never happens again
Once u get it right cut plugs n hard wire solder n shrink wrap ! Do you have spark n it run at all with shot of starter fluid ? Your computer I think needs only 5 volts to a wire to cdi or it will turn on but not run ! I would have to try to find information again buts it can be google!
I got issues to my ignition switch doesn’t have a male on the end of it and my main wiring harness doesn’t have a female at the end of it so I don’t know what wires to hook up together to make it right 1997 Kawasaki zx750-p can u help me
Google wire schematics for year n model of bike you should be able to find one ! Hope u got the right switch some have a diode for anti theft . I ran into that on a recovered stolen bike . Kid try to buy the cheap switch

Sorry man if I was there I could probably help ! See if you can find a wire harness on eBay . Sometimes they take good picks of plugs u may can see where the wires go in tge connection n go from there
Okay so I got power to the ignition switch but still the start button doesn’t work what makes the starter button on the bike work and it’s brand new I appreciate your help don’t know if I said that
So if you got volt meter check the yellow / red wire going to starter relay . When you hit the button you should get 12 volts . If you get 12 volts and you can short the relay across the two terminals with 10 mm nuts n starter turns over . then sylinod is bad . If you got 12 n starter won't short then starter is bad

I just found out that my problem was not to press the clutch to get the bike start.
Interested that i have a R6 and a CBR600, neather bike i have to do that.
Now it turns, but dont start.

Strange almost like someone put in wrong switch in handle one will open circuit the other closes , but as long as your riding and learning it’s a good day

Bike is turning now as i press the start botton.
Taking one spark plug out and check if thres sparking
