This song & "Dust In The Wind" were my two favorite "Kansas" songs growing up and IMO VoicePlay absolutely nailed this. Eli & Layne really did an amazing job with the arrangement. I loved everything about it although I have to say Layne did a super fantastic job on the vocal percussion on this one and Eli literally rocked. Omar fits seamlessly with the group and has a terrific voice. He also did "Superstition" with them back in October. I did read your introduction and I'm assuming "swamp" has something to do with a sports team? Also, I agree with many of the other commenters, you really need to react to Geoff's new cover of "Radiohead's" "High & Dry"; it will blow you away! Great reaction too - don't mind you stopping at all since I've already watched this many times & the whole point of watching reaction videos is just that - the reaction. 😁
I read the intro, but as an Aggie, I just can't type that word you want me to. 😀 You were right, Layne is the beatboxer, and he and Eli (pronounced Ellie) arranged this. Great reaction!
I love your reactions. They are so fun and entertaining. Don't apologize for pausing. It needs to be done. If I want to hear it without pause, I will go to the artists you tube page. I also like that you do rewind a bit.
Love that you commented on the heartbeat. First reactor I've seen do that! React to the Disturbed cover of Sound of Silence. They have the official music video and then a live version on Conan. Both hit in different ways.
Nobody does it like Voice Play. That was better than the original or any other version. That fact that the only had the bass & beat box for instrumental background proves you don't need all the instruments like the original had.
You really need to have a listen to Nightwish (Symphonic Metal), specifically start with their Waken 2013 Concert. Most reactors start with Ghost Love Score which is a long but fabulous one. Give them a try, I am a relatively new fan and love their absolutely wonderful sound.
You should do Geoff's High and Dry. It'll blow your mind. His range is epic.
I see nothing but facts in this comment
Hey, you were right at first, Voiceplay's beatboxer is named Layne!
P.S.: You should react to Geoff's new cover of "High and Dry" :)
You have to do geoffs new song high and dry it’s beautiful
Look at high and dry by goeff ! Good reaction like always 😁
If you've ever listened to Voctave, Omar is the brother to their tenor E.J. Cardona.

In this cover you CAN listen the guitar. I think it's a distortion of the bass of Geoff.
The bass and guitar are doing the same riff.

I'm the same! I read his intros. But I'm a Nole so I can't! But I love your channel Mike!
What a great reaction! So in depth and you really described what you took from the song. It was superb and you reaction was as well
Swamp. Great reactions!! (And that's coming from a music appreciation teacher ;o)
I like the way Omar and J.None are doing some of the treble instrumentals at around 3 and 5 minutes. And Layne! These guys really killed it.
I knew you were gonna freak out at this one! They absolutely smashed this one to bits! Definitely in the top few that they've done! ❤
Great reaction to an absolutely fantastic rendition of this classic. Thanks and keep em coming!

Svamp :-) Thanks for your reactions!

Came here to see if someone mentioned it. Disturbed's version is my absolute favorite. Chills every time.
Great reaction Mike!!
And check out Geoff's brand new one... 16 tons!
Great reaction. x

I would also suggest "Daddy Sang Bass" Obviously Amazing!!!! But Also a great video to go on with it, very amusing and touching.
Bruh his name is literally Layne 🤦
Great reaction!
Another awesome reaction. Omar Cardona was also in their Superstition video
4:00 lol
The only way this could have been any better is if at the VERY end they got, just for a second, Jared and Jensen to walk out.
Ive been trying to pull off the notes that Geoff pulls off i mean I've tried and tried and tried but i just can't do it
Terrific
Great way to the rear off 😄
