This was one of my favorite shoes back in the day. I had the white, blue, red versions and I bought them because Sir Charles wore them before they gave him a shoe.

These are dope!! Love the packaging and a fan of Billie Eilish….though I kinda wished they used mushroom leather for the upper, which would’ve really tied everything together, including the algae ink…which is really cool! But..i guess that would’ve pushed the price tag up quite a bit. Agreed…they should’ve used the old skool packaging for the GRs as well. Also…I’m a fan of forefoot straps because they are actually functional. ❤🤓
When I got these in hand I was a bit confused as to why there was a weird crease below the strap on each shoe but I realized the whole lower part of the tongue becomes her logo! It’s the leaning stick man one. The bottom of the basketball on the tongue becomes the head and that “crease” is the gap between the legs!
Definitely a cool lil detail that makes these more of a Billie shoe.
I like this cw and the decluttered heel logo. I think if I was going to wear these untied I think I’d still do up the forefoot strap.
Chris! Your wifey has the same taste as me. Even though the strap is OG and was always apart of the shoe. It just makes it look like a kids shoe. It would look so much better without it!

I’m a little disappointed that Nike wouldn’t retro these for Barkley, rather than Billie, since he’s most known for rocking these during his NBA career.

Eh retroing them for Barkley would involve going through a lot more red tape than Billie who’s already signed with them. I know they’ve retroed barkleys in past years but there’s a difference between that and something like a D-Book AF1 or the Dr. J Reebok questions.

Me gusta que Nike las haya reeditado por 1a vez pero no me gusta que lo hayan hecho por partida doble. Una colab con Billie Eilish que no se que pinta en este modelo.
Reseñar que le falta en la lengueta el "Alpha" que lo hubiera bordado, imagino que será algún tipo de copyright y por eso no lo habrán podido poner.
Tengo el modelo rojo de cuero y estoy esperando el negro de Billie, veremos que imprensión me causa.

Hello, were you able to try both? I'm between one and the other because I like them for training (gym, weights, and going with style haha), but I don't know how the Billie ones age as they are made of vegan leather.
Thanks for the video. This is one of those shoes that I would buy in every single colorway (at least in all the white based models). If I could not afford all of them, I would stick to the white/red one released two weeks ago. One thing I miss on this one is the black stiching on the back and laterals. The shoe loses a little bit of character wihout it imho
I don't like NIKE now, but THIS shoe, in THIS colorway !!! It reminds me of all the models I liked back in the day !!! Maybe due to the big AIR FORCE logo on the tongue (🤤). I could even play in them 😁

Forefoot straps give shoes that Batman 89 vibe
The strap could be a little wider for me - maybe not as wide as the air trainer Huaraches. Other than that these look dope 👍🏿

Pass I just feel Nike has been stale for the past few years. The brand is solely relying on JB legacy and dying collaborators. The general consumer is moving on to the new flavor of the week while the enthusiast continues to feel let down with each release.
