Dia mencontohkan, Jalur Pantura Jawa yang sisi kanan dan kirinya dipenuhi oleh toko-toko dan kawasan pemukiman, selain itu sisi jalan raya yang menuju Bandung pun kurang lebih memiliki kondisi yang sama.
“Harusnya ada penataan ruang. Contoh di Tiongkok mereka sudah menerapkan konsep vertical housing, sedangkan kalau kita masih suka mengembangkan landed housing dan baru belajar menerapkan vertical housing. Semua negara membutuhkan itu, karena konsep vertical housing di negara-negara lain terbukti mengefisiensikan penggunaan lahan,” ucapnya.
Himawan juga menjelaskan bahwa Jakarta merupakan salah satu kota dengan penataan kota yang buruk di kawasan Asia Pasifik, jauh tertinggal dengan Singapura dan Kuala Lumpur, bahkan Manila yang sekarang mulai berbenah memperbaiki diri.
Konsep vertical housing sendiri bagi Himawan sudah harus mulai diterapkan di kota-kota besar yang penduduknya belum terlalu padat seperti Bogor, Bandung, Yogyakarta, dan Solo

Glad you enjoyed roaming Dhaka. I think too many RUclipsrs try to show Old Dhaka, though it doesn't serve a purpose. Nobody from the main city central of Dhaka visits Old Dhaka. I was born in the early 90s, even I have never been to Old Dhaka. The only people visit Old Dhaka are visitors and those who wants to see the Pink Palace (Ahsan Manzil) and Lal Bagh. In Mumbai the poor reside in slums, but Dhaka doesn't have slums, the poor reside in Old Dhaka.
In Mumbai poor doesn't live in slums ,they live in chawl . Slums built by Britishers for migrant workers for their labourers purpose. And new Mumbai is Navi Mumbai
@@Dzion5050 yes, I visited Old Delhi back in 1997. I like Delhi and Chandni Chawk (Old Delhi). Old Delhi is far more chaotic than Old Dhaka. Due to more population and India is obviously bigger in area, so it's more chaotic now compared to 1997. I don't like Mumbai at all.
