Oops I didn’t realize I needed to do the powder on top of the top coat and not the nail polish
If your powder doesn't seem to stick to your topcoat very well.. cut your cure times.. I've come to figure out some topcoats have different cure times and different lamps as well. There's also some videos on here for applying powders if you end up having any issues.. a few of the ones I watched was "how to stop your chrome topcoat from chipping"...."do's don'ts of chrome powders" and "why won't my chrome powder stick". There's also a few videos on using powders without gel. Once you figure it out it's lot's of fun.. do you do nail stamping at all??? If so you can stamp with pigments and that's really neat 💞

You could use let’s resin chameleon mica powder as well and they’re very affordable and very pigmented

Do you need a certain type of base polish for these powders to work?
A non wipe top coat, cure it only for 30 seconds, and put the powder while the nail it's still warm, the seal it with top coat again for 90 seconds.

I'm a newbie as I bit my nails most of my life. Surprisingly they've grown out lovely, so I've been treating myself to lots of nail art stuff. I've mastered the stamping,so this is my next ❤️

I put chrome powder and then top coat that I cured but when I went to wipe my nails with cleanser at the end some of the powder came off. Why is that?

If it's chunky and you rub it, it will scratch the top-coat surface. Try tapping hard instead. Then seal and cure.
I wonder if you can use stuff like this for cosplay props
I’ve been using my nail stuff on canvas so depending on what the top coat is adhering too, I’d say try it out but always remember you can possibly gold leaf or silver leaf your props maybe? And also try this too if anything, I know I’ll be experimenting more with canvas. Because the colorful chrome colors are so hard to come by for air brushing , but you can shop around see if they have some color shifting pigments for air brush and use that on your props! I’ll be looking into those too actually 😮

hi my top coat doesn't really cure so should I wipe the excess before I apply the powder?
No, that stickiness is what makes the powder stick. It's important to cure for 30 seconds only so you can have the stickiness. After putting powder on, put top coat on top of the powder and cure for 60-90 seconds.
For me, i get the best results with a NON WIPE top coat. A sticky layer of base gel or residual top coat will give decent results, but it's not like the super mirror reflective effect you see here.
Sometimes, if you wipe off the sticky layer, depending on your product, it will still work. I would say just test it out
