One of the underrated things about the velcro strap is that without the piping it can't catch and get pulled off when using and especially while sparring
If these gloves has a more padded wrist, like on their lace ups, I don’t think their would be a debate if these were the best training gloves. Great video Man.
Hey Carlo, great reviews. Looking to pick up some winning gloves, 5’10 170lb. I’m using Cleto Reyes 16 ounce gloves which I like but feel on the big size and getting old. Appreciate any feedback
Great review bro. I've been watching a bunch of your videos and I've decided to buy a not so expensive glove and save up and get some winnings. Do you still recommand the Rival RB-2 Super Bag? Your video about them is 2 years old. I was wondering if you changed your opinion about their value. Thank you.
Love your reviews Carlo, but if you could also review all other gear like boxing/wrestling shoes for boxing workouts as well as mouth-guards, shorts and pads) just a friendly advice)
@@csquaredboxing Just FYI I got rdx t1 after your review, but returned cuz they were not 100% leather, trim on the palm was faux, so I returned them and decided to go with Fairtex BGV1 in beautiful solid blue only after your review among the others) I ordered 14oz and i am 6.1 with 222 lbs strictly for bag work, do you think they will be good fit?
I found that the best place to buy them is with winning USA. Mr Kazumichi is such a humble and interesting character that he makes the purchase of these gloves all the more special. I got my blue 14oz lace ups from him for $325
Hey Carlo, I know this is an older review but I've decide to pull the trigger on Winning Gloves since I'm an older guy and can use the extra protection. I'm going back and forth between 14oz and 16oz. Is there a noticeable size difference between the two? I like the idea of the extra protection 16oz provides but i also like the idea of a smaller 14oz glove size. If the protection is about the same I'll go with 14oz. Thanks.
Hey Carlo, what would you recommend for the most feedback? Do you like the Sabas horsehair better than the Reyes or No Boxing No Life? I’m looking for something that I can really feel. Thanks.
I think when I do finally get myself a pair of winnings I'll spring for the customs so I can have the wider cuff. Tried a friends MS-500's and it was just a bit too thin for my tastes. The padless palm also feels very odd to me but when I finally get a pair I'm sure I'll get used to it. But if I'm gonna spend this much I save the extra and spring or some custom colors and that wider cuff.
Thank you very much for the very detailed review. I’m not sure whether to get these or the Sabas Pro 14oz gloves. If I go for the Winnings, am I getting a lot more for my money? I just don’t know if I can justify the extra expense. Many thanks.
Sabas Pro Series are good gloves, not quite on the level of craftsmanship as Winning, but still a great glove for the money. If you're on a budget go with the Sabas.
csquaredboxing Thank you. Your channel is great for helping people to make an informed decision. It’s good to listen to someone who knows what they’re talking about!
If I’m new to boxing and will be training and learning a lot first before I start sparring or doing competition do you recommend the winning’s or something like a hayabusa t3 for the wrist support and extra padding because I’m looking to do lots of training with a coach before I step into the ring
Wanted a quality pair of all white gloves, so I bought the Winning 16 oz and I'm not impressed with the knuckle cushion everyone raved about. Does not feel like pillows, in fact it's pretty thin compared to almost every other glove I have. Extremely disappointed with that. The thumb hole is perfect though and prevents any sliding around. Not worth the money in my opinion. Currently using the Title Ko-Vert boxing glove
I agree. I use my venum giants and topboxer aliens. Winning seems like it's the Starbucks of boxing. Its great but there's better options at a cheaper price.
@@Arciniega5k5 I will say they are great for sparring! Feels more like an extension of my hand compared to other gloves that feel clunky. But I love my Title Kovert boxing gloves for hitting the bag. They are a dream.
Hello. When looking on the Kozuji website it doesn't distinguish between which Winning are bag gloves and which are sparring gloves. Are 8 Oz -12 Oz just meant for bags and 14 Oz and up sparring gloves ? I've never owned a pair so I don't know about the different MS versions.
8-10 ounce fight gloves are meant for sanctioned fights BUT could be used for mitts/ bag work. Sparring is typically 14-16 ounce depending on boxers weight class.
Hi I wanted to know if the gloves have a padding on the wrist, and if the velcro remains tight. For sparring, I recommend winning velcro or rival rs2v 2.0 thank you
Do you know if there's a difference in width with the 14oz vs 16oz? I want to buy some winnings because I recently bought some Reyes and they are wayyyyyyyy too wide. Hate them. I don't like training with anything under 16oz tho
For a budget of no more than $200, what are the top 3 gloves you would recommend? I'm thinking about Cleto Reyes or something that produces a nice pop on a heavy bag along with great wrist support. Am I better off with buying a 12oz or 16oz?
All these guys made good recommendations, I'd say Rival Guerrero, Sabas PRo Series, or Top Boxer custom, I also prefer 16 Ounces, you can use it with more versatility.
They were super soft, literally no wrist support and one more thing, there is an extra grip bar at the tip of my fingers, and I don’t like it. Maybe it sounds foolish but my Rival RS 100 is much more comfortable and feels better quality with much better wrist support
Did you end up returning your gloves? I just got my and it have acne in the back too not sure why. I got it on Amazon from the seller gen international.
guys never forget that the best amateur boxers in the world are cubans and they have nothing they have no expensive gear they use old beatup gloves they hit tires because they don’t have punching bags and they just work with what they have but use there techniques to be great boxers who move and hit beautifully just never forget it isn’t all about spending a fortune on some expensive gloves headgear it’s mainly about training very hard and getting better
That could be said for any boxer of any background. Gloves are just that...gloves. They don't do anything unless worn by an individual who knows how to use them. Of course there are cheap gloves and expensive gloves, its all up to you and your budget. Just like a $20 pair of jeans or a $200 pair of jeans, they both achieve the same thing, they cover your legs. It's all subjective.
Yeah but if you can save yourself all the injuries long term so you can have perfectly functioning hands late in your years then it is worth spending money taking care of yourself, isn't it?
Yeah but if I wanna smash the bag at full force and preserve the conditions of my hands I’d rather wear my Flys than any old cheap gloves. I’ve won my last 4 bouts in a row since investing in better gloves and my growth has been unprecedented since investing. And I enjoy my boxing way more with nicer gear.
