Thanks for watching! I hope I did the Twi'leks some justice, though making up an accent based on the in game Huttese instead of French dialect (I think) they used in Clone Wars was tricky. Also, as I knew Bolook knew who was guilty, I decided to play him like a trolling mischievous Yoda in ESB... however, he came across a little less troll and more ... zesty. Try unhear it now 😂 Make sure to follow for updates! X: x.com/GameLoreDash & Instagram for early clips: instagram.com/gameloredash
i remember when i first played this game in grade school and encountering this quest, i was stumped. i took intensive notes that i studdied for days outside of my gaming sessions. after many hours of thinking, 10 year old me felt confident she new the answer and i was so overjoyed to have gotten it correct
This unlocked a core memory: of much younger me not really understansing what was happening, getting fed up and accusing them both just to find that was the right thing to do... Really appreciate this video! Can't wait for more KoToR stuff!
I too may have skipped thsi quest a bit til I was reading an article on top 10 kotor sidequests & it made it on the list, so I went and revisted. Also, cheers!
@DarkLOREDash would you ever consider looking at Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy? Not sure if you've ever played it, but again, its another core childhood game back when we had brilliant Star Wars games and I think you'd enjoy it. I mean, I've played it to death but I'd definately watch your break down on it!
The fact that all of these different species, with completely different cultures, tended to repeat the same Non-Basic phrases and your character could translate them all into core subtitles was such Mucha Shaka Paka. I miss when BioWare had language geeks create their own klingon you could hear character speak in.
Glad to see KOTOR videos back. I remember watching them a lot prior to even playing both KOTOR's. I remember when doing this quest I found it alright at first but did get annoyed as it went on and on and on. I don't remember who I drew the conclusion too, but I think it was Handon. The KOTOR's are certainly great games, especially the second, and I do really enjoy these in-depth videos, showcasing what some people might have missed if they never played through those outcomes.
These quests were some of my favorites in the game. Especially the “Hatfield/Mackoy” style quest is amazing. Your voice acting has made it much more enjoyable and I have noticed it has improved greatly and I love it. I would not have the patience to do the research and editing you have done so hats off to you! Thanks mate!
I like this quest, not only because it's quite fun to puzzle out but also because it illuminates the frustrating priorities of the jedi. Taris was just pulverized, the quest for the star forge is of utmost importance... and this is what you're asked to do. You understand those who left for the mandalorian wars better when this is what jedis do while the galaxy burns. Simple police work.
Love your additional voicing!! I drive a lot for work, and so being able to purely listen to this has been a godsend! Love your story analysis so this was a great hour to listen to!
@DarkLOREDash discovered your channel just about two years ago and I deeply enjoy your content. The Oblivion stuff, KOTOR, and the surprise of Soul Reaver have all been a blast. Infrequent commenter but I felt compelled to let you know!
Hi Dash. Thanks for the Kotor video, Dash. Always nice to watch some Kotor, narrated by you, with your personal touch, like the Bolook speak basic, instead of Huttese. Thanks for taking the effort, for the multiple paths and endings of this quest. I remember having a bit of trouble with this quest, the first time, not fully understanding that both were guilty. In another playthrough, I did managed to get to the bottom of this investigation, and find the truth. Have a good day and one. The same to everyone. Cheers.
Actually only got around to playing the first KOTOR quite recently, and I loved this quest. The one thing that immediately jumped out to me about Handon that I was very surprised was never brought up by any of the characters is that Handon was said to be running on foot and unarmed in a place confirmed to be swarming with dangerous animals and mercenaries. He should obviously have been killed long ago if that's a regular thing he does, so it threw me a bit when nobody seemed to acknowledge this and I had to start looking for other evidence.
That us very astute! That and his supposed corpulence would make him a slow target. Actually, I wonder if the kath hounds and Iriaz were peaceful until the dark side tainted the nearby Grove or starmap area 🤔
I actually really like this quest. It was reminiscent of the good adventure games like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis where you had to find out what each dialogue option does with a lot of save scumming.
I found this quest to be quite interesting if a bit frustrating with advancing certain dialogue points. Mostly with getting to examine the blaster wound on Handon. The writing might be simple but it seems very realistic to me. Not every quest needs be a grand epic, just satisfying.
This isn't lazy writing, it's meant to be an example of the "Prisoner's Dilemma" from Game Theory, the mathematically concept, not the channel, though they've talked about it too.
God how i missed ur kotor content ... if u did elder scrolls 5 content as well .... i cant describe how estatic id be ... but Kotor is my fav on your channel ... thank you for coming back to it! :3
Veilguard is fine but it’s just not dragon age at least not to me anyways but I think it’s an over exaggeration I’ve been seeing all over social media. I would temper your expectations for KOTOR remake since it’s been in absolute development hell since it was announced and being transferred from one studio to another I have very little hopes on it and it’s been a pretty long time since there was even an update on it.
@@DarkLOREDash ...and now I need to play KOTOR again. Thanks! (Seriously: I never would have thought to do that...and while I like the *idea* of this quest, it just drags on forever, and completely breaks the flow of the questing on the planet.)

Good choice in doing a voice over for the twiilek, and thanks for the hard work
@@genetash8604 Thank you, my pleasure!
@@DarkLOREDash I always skip the twilek in game dialogue because of how repetitive it is. Luckily I can speed read
One sideeffect of you voicing every line of the twilek is also that its theoretically a possibility to make it into a mod for the game :o

This is easily one of my favorite sidequests in any game. It has an interesting twist that was logically consistent, no rug-pull bs or anything.
Thanks! A job well done! I love your videos, man! Keep it up!

Thank you kindly!
Already can't wait for you to break down the matale-sandral feud. I've found 4 endings if I remember correctly. Some actually made me laugh.
