Lurrus deck seems to be missing Basalt Monolith. With it, Oswald Fiddlebender can sacrifice a 1-mana artifact to find Mesmeric Orb, then sacrifice Mesmeric Orb to find Basalt Monolith, and replay Mesmeric Orb with Lurrus' ability. Then tap/untap Basalt Monolith to mill your library until Sevinne's Reclamation, Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead, Leonin Relic-Warder, and Blood Artist are in the graveyard. Then use Monolith and 1W to Flashback Sevinne's Reclamation targeting Blood Artist and Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead to bring back the Leonin and win the game.
It’s such a fun piece of tech, another fun one is quiron ranger and ashaya for infinite landfall or quiron and Sakura tribe scout for 3 extra landfalls a turncycle
12:16 Just a minor error - Fierce guardianship is targeting Red Elemental Blast, not Pyroblast like Alex says. I know that functionally the cards are the same, but I thought I'd mention it for continuity.
A tidbit is that they're not exactly the same. REB requires that the spell/permanent be blue when you cast it, while Pyroblast checks on resolution. It means REB can't destroy a non-blue Phantasmal Image, but Pyroblast can, for example.
in the first game @4:09 when Sera's Ascendant attacks, neither player's life total moves despite the attack not being blocked and Sera's having lifelink. Just wanted to put that out, great videos and been loving the commentary! Keep up the great work!
About 4 minutes in, Xeno attacks Adam with his Ascendant, and you say that Xeno gains 6 and Adam takes 6, but neither happens to their hp totals. Towards the end of game with the massive stack of counters, Adam should not have had the HP to participate in any of it, and would not have killed Zack, etc etc.
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG The life totals are all over the place. When Adam blocked Shaun's Serra ascendant the narrator said "gained 1 life" and the life total went down. Also the pronunciations have several errors too. One example, Ketria was pronounced as Kerta or something similar. I appreciate the effort that goes into videos like this, clearly your team loves the game and the craft. Even then, I hope your team feels that this is unacceptable and finds a way to fix it that works for you. I suggest you come up with some kind of process for each error, then evolve that process to keep it simple while preventing as many errors as possible. Perhaps have a non-editor review the video before upload and have the narrator lookup pronunciations and run words by someone else. Keep up the good work, and at least some of us understand that these kinds of errors mean that you are trying to push hard to do new things.
Xeno here. There are actually a few different builds going around. Some rely on Teshar lines (KCI, Myr Retriever, Grinding Station etc.), I've seen Doomsday Lurrus etc. It's just not a very common Commander in cEDH
Maybe I’m missing something but in game 1, Xeno could’ve cast dance of the dead from the yard after casting lurrus to bring back Auriok and made infinite mana with LED. From there he could then repeatedly sac lurrus to altar and recast to repeatedly cast supplier from the yard. Surely there is a pinger he’d be able to reanimate to win the game.

How was it stalling? Words of Wind bounced everything and gave infinite Mana, still leaves room for the opponents. Brain Freeze can still be turned around by e.g. Noxious Revival. Walking Ballista is a clean win at that point and also overall a good card in the deck (also wins off of other infinite Mana shenanigans)
@@Xeno-MTG im not trying to shit down on peoples lists, i personally came to a point of not running ballista and i would cut dramatic scepter if i didnt had several cards winning of the untap, but the inclusion of these cards is totally fine. i also want to apologize for my wording as "straight up stalling" was quite harsh, but it felt weird seeing them utilize several compact wincons in itself .. im all in to let people pop off and have fun finding their line. the point i wanted to go to is that words of wind is a win already, not a very clean one but it simply never happened to me that anyone had anything. speaking from piloting the deck a while in its veraious iterations. nobody can rebuild with no permanents and people only insist on playing that out once. i usually try to find another out bc for some its a feelsbad bc its a weird win, but if i dont get it in the turn WoW pops i ask my opponents to concede. and if brain freeze turned around by noxious would have happened, people might not necessary have the mana to cast say their thoracle since every permanent was bounced.

re: wow was getting owned, how? regarding salt, i didnt realize it was you but nontheless i realized my poor choice of wording already. it was needlessly inflamatory when my point itself wasnt offensive. i felt like having to defend my line against accusations of "playing solitaire" with this deck against some people i dont play with anymore, so it was just scratching an old itch me to see the convoluted line. re: ballista i dont know what other outs you have for infinite mana but i play urza as out for infinite mana, bc he is still good on his own. ballista can cantrip for zero in a pinch but doesnt have much card quality here. i already cut a few zero mana artifacts so i felt like i didnt need it usually. i run isorev as infinite mana producer, but again bc both pieces range from great (reversal) to ok (scepter) on its own, and because the untap is actually relevant bc senseis top lets me draw the deck and codex shredder mills the opponnents. that additional untap synergy is why i keep the combo since infinite mana isnt an automatic combo with jhoira so i dont stress that. the main win comes from drawing my deck, getting breach, brainfreezing everyone and using thormots crypt to exile their yards if needed (works with titan shufflers and also with the noxious revival that you mentioned). with wow, several forge and cost reducer effects in tandem with top, and codex shredder / isorev being able to replace brainfreeze if it got exiled, im content on not running more outs to favour card quality and consistency. but thats a lot of variables and assumptions that go with assuming this applies to your list as well. this is my current list but i believe it doesnt differ too much from the lists floating around

Yes, that's exactly it. It's possible that the other players would focus on each other for at least another turn. It's also just good edicate to play a CEDH game like you always have a chance at winning
Can someone explain the rational for xeno to keep attacking with Dauthi. Would it not have made more sense hold it back. The graveyards had counters and removal.
@@gshea95 depends on what you want. There are simple tools that let you enter a list of cards and you'll get a printable sheet, which is my regular go to. For the Lurrus deck I used a company that makes custom cards. You'll find tutorials for both on YT :)

I noticed that too, there's a major discrepency somewhere
Edit: Also Adam kept losing 7 life from Serra Ascendent instesd of 6. 33 -> 26, then 24->17
I'd assume that's it an editing mistake and the players were doing things write during the game.
It was an editing error, the way the game played out is how it happened.

Xeno here. There was a Drannith out, so keeping Dauthi untapped seemed worse than pressuring the player with the Drannith.
