Greg casts Krenko, Mobb Boss, everyone laughs at Greg's silly test card and Greg silently declares a blood fued on the rest of the table and passes turn. 😂
As soon as Greg resolved a Krenko, I knew exactly what direction that game was moving in. I've been at enough tables where an un-interrupted Krenko was allowed to live a complete turn cycle, and no one ever believes me when I say that Krenko is KOS.
You know, we all like storm decks because nothing is sweeter than watching your opponents with wait for their inevitable death. But Ashani's wins were just.... mean. Very nice win.
Total number of goblins made by Krenko game 1, beginning at 64: 128 + 256 + 512 = 960 total goblins. I was waiting for a Gaea’s Cradle to hit the board.
I was surprised that Chad didn't Noxious Revival the Dockside in response to Eldritch Evolution to shuffle it back into the deck so Korvold wouldn't draw it later.
Woot! Finally someone other than Mike plays...and wins with Korvold Treasure Storm on this channel! Great job Ashani! I hope to pilot that deck as well as you do someday! Awesome content as always!
With swan song on the stack, cast deflecting swat. Swat changes the target of swan song to itself (swat). Deflecting swat resolves, changing the target, swan song resolves, now targeting deflecting swat, which is now an illegal target, so swan song fizzles
I love watching these videos but as I'm new to magic can someone explain how the second game was won. I don't believe he had enough cards to discard to kill everyone (unless I'm wrong) but can you target yourself to discard even if you have no cards left and then copy the effect again?
its crazy how lucky greg got with the thrasios and getting stupid crazy with the counter magic. kinda sus ngl but if it was actual luck then damn thats stupid crazy good.
Damn , the power lvl is completely different from what i used to play before i quit 6 years ago. Now i returned with a Galea which seems laughable against decks like those
8:41 totally unimportant, but I'm confused why Korvald triggered here. Someone else saced a creature but the card says they you sac a permanent. I'm sure I just missed something, these people know a lot more about this game than I do, but a little clarification would help lol
@@Chase0313 ohhhh I couldn't see the prospector behind the card closeup in the middle lmao. I thought it was under Greg's control with his billions of goblins. thank you!
In that first game, why the heck did greg sacrifice his prospector when he could just sac ANY goblin token? If a boardwipe or whatever hit the board he could start saccing tokens to make mana for thrasios, a red instant, etc.
Can’t believe it’s 2022 and people are still using Wishclaw Tailsman. At least use it on the turn your trying to combo. It made the whole first game into whose tutored card didn’t get countered.
Happens to draw dockside for turn game 2 with 90 cards in deck and then draws absolutely perfectly off the treasures? Pretty sketchy. Also the guy who searched noxious revival not casting it when he sac'd dockside to eldritch evolution game 3 was beyond stupid.
He didn't draw perfectly off the treasures lol that's what the deck is designed to do. It gets there consistently because it has a ton of Mana positive sac outlets and then tutors. This was nothing that magical. Go playtest the treasure storm korvold list on the database and you'll see it wins turn 2-3 consistently if not interacted with
It does have targets, Smog targets players, not the cards in their hand. if you cast a Raven's Crime, you can target any player, even one with zero cards in hand, it just wont have an effect since they dont have enough cards. its similar to casting brainstorm with 1 card left in hand, and an opponent has an effect like Narset, Parter of Veils on the field. you draw zero, then put back 2 cards, but since you only have 1 card, you can only put one back. so with smog you simply just target yourself, because you have no cards you discard nothing, and then target yourself again to repeat ad infinitum.

That first game was so goooood. Krenko was super spicy. I love it when Thrasios+Seedborn just drowns in value
I can’t believe how much interaction Greg had in that first game, absolutely nuts
Ikr
Seedborne Muse is one hell of a card
Greg casts Krenko, Mobb Boss, everyone laughs at Greg's silly test card and Greg silently declares a blood fued on the rest of the table and passes turn. 😂
BLOOD FEUD!!!
One of the best feelings of edh is seeing a new card you put in the deck in your opening hand with three lands!
That Korvold storm turn was something else. Kinda nice to see the terror of non-cedh tables finally do something in a PWP video.
There was another video that had a pretty epic Korvold win. One of my favorite PWP videos of all time: ruclips.net/video/EaCP1B9UyjU/видео.html
@@djjmandos must have missed that one, the korvold videos I remember all had that player do little of consequence lol thanks for the link
Sweet Jesus, that second game win was amazing to watch!
Edit: damn! The third game was fantastic as well
If I was keeping track right, Greg had 976 goblins in play
Owo
"Korvold gets a counter, and Ashani draws."
as someone who has a mono red Krenko deck i loved the game 1 win !
Agreed
As soon as Greg resolved a Krenko, I knew exactly what direction that game was moving in. I've been at enough tables where an un-interrupted Krenko was allowed to live a complete turn cycle, and no one ever believes me when I say that Krenko is KOS.

Very nice win.
The piloting of Korvold was amazing great display and I love the Krenko play
"Chad thought of the most offensive nursery rhyme" NAH BRO I ALMOST SHOT SOUP ACROSS THE ROOM I CAN'T 🤣🤣
so wait did greg scry 5 counterspells in a row?
if you count the mystical tutor aswell, then yes 🙂
guess what happens when you have 33 pieces of interaction in your deck
no more legacy?
It’s not popular
They said it wasn’t performing well enough to be worth continuing unfortunately - I loved it…
I hope they'll play vintage
It sucks I really liked the Legacy content
this video is what got me to get into Korvold lmao. what an amazing deck
That is by far the fastest Korvold deck I've ever seen....10 outta 10!
Brother any treasure storm Korvold deck can win turn 2-3 consistently if you don't interact it's fast af. Had a turn 1 win last night
This was an insane set of games! Those last two wins were absolutely nutty
Wait wtf???? 😂 does ashani used a black lotus instead of a jeweled lotus in game 2?
Yes he did good catch and holy shit
Oh yeah he did
Yes, Quite Crazy
I think it still checks out - R from Simian Spirit Guide, BBB or GGG from J. Lotus, + 1 treasure to cover the last color, totalling 2BRG for Korvold
What’s the problem? Did you mistake it for a lotus petal? He got 3 mana and used it to cast his commander.
Always happy to see curious control or opus thief 😊
Is that a foil counterspell from 7th edition original? at 9:40 ?
Maybe....
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG we cannot tell the difference anymore :')
Has Ashani posted his Korvold decklist anywhere. Moxfield for example?
When korvold gets a counter, does ashani draw?

I mean if you do that he can just fetch dockside with eldritch evolution, getting 6 more treasures
Nice games. Yeah that was spicy with krenko!
What's the Underworld Breach line in the Korvold deck?
I absolutely loved that first game from Greg, holy moly
Does ashani have a black lotus instead of a jeweled lotus
I always wait to the end waiting the most relevant cards and the explanation haha
Are there decklists for these decks?
In the description.
wow, I was like: that's a really clutch keep from Greg and then BAM topdeck dockside and seedborn muse GG
well, now I wanna hear chad's nursery rhyme
Woot! Finally someone other than Mike plays...and wins with Korvold Treasure Storm on this channel! Great job Ashani! I hope to pilot that deck as well as you do someday! Awesome content as always!
That Krenko win was hilarious. Ashani would have been very happy with a culling ritual
Can someone explain how you can target Deflecting swat with Swanson AFTER deflecting swat resolves? This isn't making sense to me...
With swan song on the stack, cast deflecting swat. Swat changes the target of swan song to itself (swat). Deflecting swat resolves, changing the target, swan song resolves, now targeting deflecting swat, which is now an illegal target, so swan song fizzles

Excited to see what Oskar can bring to the table
Yet another thoracle win
Lol
I was excited to see Oskar as well!
@@amarauk9687 why not? You’re in the colors for it lmao. Only other doomsday pile would have had a lab man, and it’s the same thing as thoracle.

Crazy to just accuse someone for getting lucky
Ashani with the fast wins game 2/3 impressive work

That krenko win was amazing lol
At what point does ‘Echoing Truth’ become a cedh card?
It’s super cool to see Korvald taking a game. However, I’m super hype about the krenko win, that was incredible!
Greg awoke for this day, and told the table this is Sparta!!!!!!! ( he chose violence)
Powerful cards powerful format
krenko was crazy lmao
Wow Ashani absolutely wrecked in those two games!!

Waiting for the Oona list :(
Yeah, Dockside isn’t a problem. 😆
chad threw that third game. had a spellseeker and grabbed a revival rather than a counterspell
I'd love to know the combo Chad was going for with Oskar
Pretty sure it was a standard doomsday pile that wins via oracle - the cavern of souls naming merfolk was kinda telling.
@@Octania544 ah, didn't even think of that. Was hoping for something cooler
Korvold is terrifying.
Does Ashani not have a jeweled lotus so he used an unlimited black lotus as a stand-in? Chad move lmfao
Technically Greg should have gotten a 2/2 bird for redirecting Swan Song to Deflecting Swat since Swat is still being countered
Not true. Swan song is countered on resolution because the deflection swat has already resolved and swan song no longer has a target.
What about a cEDH game but with 4 beatdown decks? not stax, beatdown.
So you want casual, not cedh?
Can we get a 2022 Budget Yuriko update?
Can’t believe it’s 2022 and people are still using Wishclaw Tailsman. At least use it on the turn your trying to combo. It made the whole first game into whose tutored card didn’t get countered.
Ashani activated it, then played dockside and made an extra treasure because wishclaw was now controlled by an opponent.
nobody ran removal. the mono white guy would never let this happen
Krenko wiping the whole table likes it's 2012
