Not many people here understand the greatness of this performance.
This is my absolute favourite version of this piece. Mesmerising.
The most maginal instruments combined to perform the most beautiful piano masterpiece ever composed. Absolutely breathtaking!
Someone mention Nightwish here, so that's my opinion... I'm a big fan of Nightwish and Mr. Holopainen compositions and a pianist too, but Tuomas version of "The Heart Ask Pleasure First" it's a cover of the original. And this is an amazing interprepation of the original sheet by Michael Nymann (whith some beautiful arrangements), nothing to do Anette's voice here, no ways to compare, this is an instumental interpretacion. And by the way... The song have life for itself, no need Anette's voice.

Beautiful, the end leaves me wanting for more but at the same time is a brilliant way to end this song. I respect the rearrangement, usually I would say keep it as is but this is exceptionally good.
