@@JoshCravesTech Well I finally made up my mind and got the G16 4080 with the recent sale they have at best buy but I see you bought the AMD variant of the G16 recently. I cant wait to see how the AMD and the Intel versions of the G16s compare
I was also looking for a cooling pad for my G14 2023 4090 model. Ended up creating a "custom" one. Based on the Cooler Master NotePal U2 Plus V2 however I installed two Arctic P12 Max fans. Along with a PWM USB Controller, I can now power them through USB and also control the speed via a potentiometer. Also put a 7 port USB hub on the underside of the cooling pad to hide things like wireless dongles. All in all I am very happy with the result :)
It works really well with computers that have ventilation underneath. I don't have this kind of product yet, but I know that just elevated the laptop helps quite a bit ^^
I have this exact cooler for mt G14. I love it. Keeps the temps alot lower. And honestly at 1600 rpm I can barely hear the fans over the laptops fans. I'm gonna be tempted to use the 175 vbios since it can clearly handle the extra power now.
I spoke to you last year (on Reddit) about using IETS GT500 on my G14 4090 with 175w BIOS, which does great job, especially with proper re-pasting/liquid metal/expensive thermal pads. The problem with the IIano V12 is that is too big for G14 and other 14" laptops, there is (visible) air licking on the side. That's why they released the V10 which is for 13-15" laptops ideally. The IETS models on the contrary, use this dual-size foam pad (with magnets) which can be removed in order to accommodate any laptop size. The GT500 is quite loud (like IIano V12 imho) because of smaller fan (12cm not 14cm as here), but IETS has also the new GT600 line (with few variations) that has the same performance and sound levels with IIano, but I like their multiple-level raising feet better and their dual-layer dust protection compared to IIano's one level. I have also the top-spec GT626 with RGB + USB hub. In order to reach IIano's performance they've released V2 models of GT500/GT600's in order to match their performance, but with raised sound levels as well. IIano is the worst as far as I know, there are many reviews/comparisons for both pressurized cooling pads I think that you'll get much better results and lower temps with the V10 model you have to review as well, but I am afraid due to the smaller fan size (like the GT500) it will reach the same insane sound levels at max speeds. You can't have it all, but I think the most important for content-creation apps is the longevity of the VRAM, which can reach 100-105C (like the GDDR6X on desktop RTX 3090 if you can remember). On my modified G14 it reaches 90-92C without any cooling pad when rendering or using it on AI apps and will the IETS it gets around 80-84C Please post also the VRAM temps on you next review for IIano V10, because I am interested about it as well. Thanks in advance Hope it's helpful for some folks here, May the Lord bless you all!

Great to see you making the most of it as they are expensive, as the whole point of these coolers is to build positive air pressure and increase airflow. @JoshCravesTech So I am probably going to order this, but is there any concerns about blowing air directly into the fans? Like could it hurt the fans bearings or something?
I use iets gt300 and it does not fit my g14 well since it's too small to perfectly seal the fans. Now that you mentioned Ilano has a smaller one I hope it fits perfectly for 14 inch laptops.
I've heard good things about this 'pad' and I think the think that sets it apart has to be the foam seal. In saying that though, I noticed with the size and hinge design of the G14 it appeared to leave gaps around the edges sometimes in your case. Cooling pad for me possibly?
Thanks for the video but do I need to change the foam regularly
@@mehdiazad75 you shouldn’t have to. I’m gonna email them to confirm how long it’s covered for and if you can buy it separately
@@JoshCravesTech thank you so much if you can update us on it, it will be awesome 😀
Thank you soo much for the handwork you put. with love from Iran 🇮🇷 but I live in Kuwait 🇰🇼😄
@@JoshCravesTech any updates ?
@@mehdiazad75 hey! They just reached back out to me. They said there’s no specific time frame on how often the pad would need to be changed - it just depends on the individual’s needs as to how often you’d like to change it, but they do have it for sale as a separate item although they didn’t give me a price. Maybe it depends on region. But they are happy to help anyone who reaches out to them over email or on Amazon!
@@JoshCravesTech thanks you so much man ❤️

hey josh i have a zephyrus m16 2022. i was wondering if this type of cooler works if the laptop is open at more than 90degree angle since the screen lifts and exposes holes that break the suction needed for these types of coolers to work. can you try using this cooler with screen at like 150 degrees and let me know if it still works without the suction seal?
i'm searching something like this cooler
