    Grab a cup of tea while I, a beginner sewer, have a go at sewing a "VERY EASY" Vogue pattern for the first time. I chose the #V9367 because I wanted to sew a classic trench coat that could withstand the test of time.
    🔖 PATTERN: V9367
    🧥 FABRIC: 4 Meters of Gabardine in Stone
    🔍 SIZE: M (I would definitely recommend sewing this pattern in smaller size than Vogue recommends, as my coat is more baggy than preferred)
    ✂️ TOOLS: sewing machine, thread, scissors, buttons,

    Alexandra I thoroughly enjoyed watching your vlog. I'm now 70 and I still remember my sewing journey from the age of 16. So many mistakes, and so many great unique creations. But even now I still make mistakes. But the one thing I have always loved throughout all these years of sewing is when people admire what I've made and are envious because they just can't buy it! Happy creating and seeing. I'm half French and do I hear a touch of the French accent in your voice.
    Such a refreshing vlog. I shall be recommending my granddaughter pop along and watch too.
    👍❤️

Cannot wait to make more mistakes, learn more, make more and get better! Sending you so much love!!!! Your comment really cheered me up on a rainy morning. Xxx

    Enjoyed the video, i haven't made a trench coat yet, if i was making that coat, i would have beefed up the coat with good interfacing, shoulder pads, sleeve heads, interfacing across the back, armholes, hems etc and finished it off with a great cupro lining fabric. The interfacing would give the coat great structure

    • @AlexandraBurnett
      @AlexandraBurnett  3 года назад +4

      Hey, you're right!!! I would have probably done the same, in hindsight, but it was my 3rd ever sewing project, (I have yet to sew a scrunchie) and so I was pretty chuffed to even have made it through the challenge of sewing a coat! I think my next time making a coat will be a different STORY! X

    Nice coat ! You can wear it over your suits or woolen garments . I was laughing throughout your coat journey, because I have made many mistakes while sewing . Last week I sewed the sleeve of my cardigan onto to neckline. Much fun watching your video and seeing how you went through the process.

      Hi lovely, I bought this fabric over a year ago, so I don’t have a link. It’s gabardine in stone from CroftMill. I don’t know if they have it in stock - but worth double checking. Hope this helps! 😘😘😘
