Dearest Joy, you are so humble, but you are honestly the best teacher and mentor. Yes, there are many tutorials out there and sewing teachers. However not many can match your expertise and enthusiasm. Thank you for being you!
Joy, thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to do this tutorial for us ladies who don't have an 18 year old body anymore. Your tutorials are excellent and I deeply appreciate them! YOU are still my favorite RUclipsr.
Joy, I’ve said this many times, but you are one of my favorite sewing teachers. I’ve learned so many great tips from you throughout the years I’ve watched your channel. Thank you! Please keeping showing us how to sew.
Thank you for this tutorial! I loved the barn and truck fabric and I liked the black jeans with it. I also loved the silk cotton fabric on that top you had hanging on your door. I just love fall colors and your new pants came out great on you!
Cute outfit! The best iron I’ve had for 4 years now is the Reliable 260IR. It does not leak and puts out a lot of steam! I never had good luck with Rowentas and other cheap brands.
Your outfit looks amazing on you! I enjoy your videos. I learn a lot from you. You had me laughing several times.... especially when you said my crotch isn't that long! I literally laughed out loud! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for making this video. I’m sure it takes a lot of time and effort to produce. So many great tips and techniques. I’m looking forward to making this pant pattern soon.
Kinda lost my sew joe but after this video got my inspiration back to sew. Have some pretty navy/Greg& black tweed poly twill I want to make some pants for this winter so - here I go!! 🏃♂️ Good to see you again Joy! Love your channel🤗 Virginia in Arkansas ❤
Thank you very much for the tutorial...I have the New Look 6246...wooohooo! This is silly, but never thought of using kona cotton for pants...duh...especially where I live.. I just have one question...what pattern is the top? I like the design... Thank you, again for posting... ;)
I like that elastic !! Good method for elastic waist pants! I just looked in your amazon store for that elastic - didn't see it. Will you add it there. thanks!
I can't add the elastic to my store. You have to buy it from cuttinglinedesigns.com -- IF she still has it. The Peggy elastic is from silhouettepatterns.com. Both are very nice to use.
Thanks for doing this video! So well explained. I am thinking of making this type of pants for house lounging. I am wondering if Kona cotton pants wrinkles a lot after you wash them in (cold) water and you dry them in the dryer.
I have done that same thing when it comes down to patterns that have shirt and a pant and then I forgot that I already took out the pant pattern to make😂
60+ years of sewing and it never occurred to me to add the waistband to the pattern (DUH). Thanks for that. Question: You stitched the elastic all around--appears two rows. Did you use a longer stitch length or a zig-zag to allow the elastic to still stretch properly?
Is it the age? I wish than mine would be 10 more inches. We both a new washer and dryer. I move to my house and I fund two old machined. I never use the new ones again.
Why don’t you put right sides together when you cut out so when you’re ready to sew it’s all ready & you don’t have to flip. I sew fronts together & backs together first

I've been sewing for many years, Joy, but I always learn something new from you! Thank you!

I love your blouse. Thank you for showing us how easy it is to make the pants. It looks really nice together. 😊💖
All of us quilters gasped when you threw away that scrap.
Love that shirt!!!
Burnt orange is a great fall fabric. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you Joy for showing tips and tricks! Your shirt and pants came out so nice! I like the look of your elastic lines too🤗 🫂
Thank you! Clear tutorial directions.
Lovely teacher, good looking fall outfit.
Very helpful, thank you.
Oh, I love the truck/barn top!

Stunning 😍
I know I definitely have to make me some new winter pants
Love your video Joy ❤❤
I understand... gravity happens.
Hello Joy I enjoyed your content Have A Bessed week
Oh, your truck top is so cute!
In farming communities ladies also wear fabric that has barns and pickup trucks And pumpkins
This was wonderful Joy. Thank you so much.

I believe I am the first viewer I also shared your video out as always😊
Just noticed your matching earrings, nice
Joy, I found this on Walmart. It might be similar to the board you used to press the pant seam.
“1 Double Sided Sleeve Board Ironing Board”
I bought a large wool pressing mat I think it was 15x54 or so. Cut it down to the size I wanted and it works great
Hey Joy😊
Thank you very much for the tutorial...I have the New Look 6246...wooohooo!

What are measurements of the press board you use for pants legs. TIA

Do you ever stitch the front crease in? Years ago they used to in polyester pants but I don't know how Kona cotton would react?
No I don’t stitch the crease in.
Thanks for doing this video! So well explained. I am thinking of making this type of pants for house lounging. I am wondering if Kona cotton pants wrinkles a lot after you wash them in (cold) water and you dry them in the dryer.
Yes, the Kona wrinkles.

Yes. I used a 3.5 length. Maybe 4.0. Not zig zag.
Thanks for the tip about adding the waistband to the top of the pants. I love your pin cushion. Do you have a pattern for it?
Which pin cushion? The chicken? Yes, there is a pattern for it.
I honestly don't like putting in buttons and zippers So I'm like you I would prefer an elastic waist band
Is it the age? I wish than mine would be 10 more inches. We both a new washer and dryer. I move to my house and I fund two old machined. I never use the new ones again.
🇺🇸✝️🙏
I have a lot of patterns. Many different pants.
I always buy 4 yards but I'm 5 ft 8in and not small
I know what you mean about the swollen ankles my rheumatologist looked at my ankles the other day
Are you saying cone of cotton as the brand?
Kona cotton
Since you are using 100% cotton, I would save the scraps for quilting.
Why don’t you put right sides together when you cut out so when you’re ready to sew it’s all ready & you don’t have to flip. I sew fronts together & backs together first
