    Remember to reapply the thermal paste. Clean the old ones with alcohol and qtip and reapply with x formation.

      @@cosmicgamingunlimited the die size matters with how you apply thermal paste. For todays larger cpu dies (on main computers); the "dot" method is just not enough coverage usually. For a device this small, the pea sized dot is *plenty*. The "x" is useless here, but REPLACING said thermal paste is imperative. For this application, thermalright TF8 (5 bucks on amazon) is probably the best product to use. If anything, it would probably improve thermals (sometimes thermal paste is pretty ridiculously bad; and i dont trust anbernic to be applying the most high quality stuff in the first place) to replace it anyway. The ram and vrm cooling wouldnt really need much love as they just wont produce enough heat to matter in any capacity.

      I like to play palworld via Xbox cloud gaming. When using the selector wheel I would find it impossible to select items in specific locations on the wheel. This fixed the issue. The sticks feel better as well. The kit I bought was $20, but I just used the link from Retro Game Corps. Any Nintendo switch replacement stick will work with this device. Pick a kit that comes with the tools. I do find I need to reduce sensitivity in games, even on stock sticks.

    • @cosmicgamingunlimited
      @cosmicgamingunlimited  6 месяцев назад

      You will need to do everything in the video PLUS removing the screen. You will need to heat the adhesive with a hair dryer for about 2-3 minutes before removing the screen. Gently pry off the screen with a plastic expunger tool. If you are gentle you can reuse the adhesive. If not, you will need to buy new. Don’t overheat the screen, it will burn the oled and cause your screen to be brown.

    • @cosmicgamingunlimited

      @@cosmicgamingunlimited Thanks for the answer friend. I asked because I live in Brazil and wanted to know if Anbernic would sell these pieces separately and send them to Brazil. In my case the dpad is making a noise every time I press "up" on the dpad and on the left analog stick too.

    • @cosmicgamingunlimited
      @cosmicgamingunlimited  6 месяцев назад +1

      When I did the test, only one stick was really bad. If you are in this situation and only play retro games, you should be good. I stream games to this device and I couldn't select certain items from weapon wheels in pal world until I did the replacement. Also, if you do the swap to both sides, the stick caps are removable from gulikit, so can remove the cap and get more space for hitting the abxy buttons.

    Why would any one replace Switch sticks with more Switch's sticks. That's like replacing cancer with another cancer.

    • @cosmicgamingunlimited
      @cosmicgamingunlimited  7 месяцев назад +7

      Switch style sticks. Switch sticks are not Hall effect and prone to stick drift. The RG556 comes with poorly made Hall effect sticks. I replaced with higher quality ones. They are more accurate than the factory RG556 sticks and not prone to stick drift like switch. I should never need to replace these. Also, the housing and board cannot support the larger ps5/xbox sticks, I like those style better as they have more travel and are better for fps games.
