The battery connector does not lock into place. It just uses friction to stay in place. You may have to wiggle it a bit to free it, but it really shouldn’t take much effort to remove it.

@cosmicgamingunlimited yes thank you for the reply I did exactly what you did in your video to unplug that connector, and it did come right out like in your video. So I just have one other question, when I plugged in the existing battery connector back in, it didn't feel as tight. Is this normal or do I really need to push the new battery connector on there?

@ it will be okay, just make sure there isn’t a large gap between the top of the female piece and the male piece.

@@cosmicgamingunlimited Okay. Yeah the problem is that it's not turning on. If you plug in the USB-C cable to charge it, the backlight turns on, when you unplug it the backlight turns off. Pressing power button does nothing, pressing and holding in power does nothing. I tried taking out the card, press Reset (did not hold) reinsert card but that didn't fix anything. My thought was well it's gotta be the battery. Thank you for your replies and advice. I'm trying to fix it for a coworker.

@ is the charger a PD charger? Use an older 5V charger, not a new one otherwise it will not charge. Also, make sure the firmware is in the correct SD card slot, otherwise it will not power on either. If the SD card is corrupted, it will also not turn on.

It wasn’t a random installer. Also the ujust listed the command you just said, when I used it, it errored and said command does not exist, even though it’s in the ujust list. I thought about having that part in this video, but I didn’t want the video to last very long. Saying an installer from Davinci Resolve is from some random website is wild. 😜

@cosmicgamingunlimited when things crap out reach for people on the forum or Discord, it probably needs fixing. It's another Linux way of doing things, because if no one complains it won't get fixed fast or at all. I repeat, don't go installing random things from the web, even from official sites. Use your distro official install channels, not doing so will lead to problems, I guarantee it.

@ Thanks for the advice, but I think that attitude is why most people avoid Linux. Doing something that is typical on other major OS should not be frowned upon on Linux. I don’t think it’s a Linux issue, it’s a Davinci Resolve issue. Which is well documented on those places you just mentioned. I am not a big user, I got all this information from those places and some other RUclips videos, I could not perform the actions above without those resource with my skill set. Until that issue with ujust is fixed or the installer is fixed from Davinci Resolve, this is the way to do it.

I was noticing the 88-91% GPU utilization with 28% CPU, when expanded it appears threads 8-11 are being hammered up to 96% while the others are around 25-32%. The CPU load needs to be redistributed if possible. I did notice if I take it down to 18w I get about the same performance with some stuttering. Also, the Vulkan shader compilation always freezes up when starting the game, I always need to skip that step.

@@cosmicgamingunlimited seems like poor core optimization from the game with this type of cpu´s.. i can only imagine that "all" the non desktop cpu version have a slightly worse core distribution than "regular" cpus. Development fokus on these types are quite low as it looks right now but otherwise the game has in general a good performance overall just some type of effects are kinda bugged and seem to drain the pc´s power badly for some weird reason.

@ I think it’s TDP limited, the CPU is using 6.5W by itself, leaving only 23.5W for the GPU. The desktop and laptop versions will have 54W instead of 30W on this particular chip and other cpus in general will have a lot more power availability. My laptop has the 7735HS cpu and it handles this game much better on a theoretically weaker CPU, but I can handle power better.

@@cosmicgamingunlimited since I don’t have any handheld console I could not dig deep into the management of power consumption but good to hear how you archived good results on a laptop. What you tell about the tdp distribution seems legit to me and signs me that we may need an additional 2-4 years of the handheld evolution to get to a point where the hardware and software works really well together, companies need to be aware of it to save their spot in this market.. otherwise they will die out or can’t compare anymore in the future. Arm based chips with some quality other good components could handle it. Nowadays even the battery could be way better. With just a bit more investing costs to produce the consoles they could bring something to last for up to 3-5 years like a laptop.. anyways, thanks for the discussion and investigation on this. I might check some more in a few weeks when I have time for it. I have a feeling to play around with a handheld to improve the components

Yes, I do all those things. Playing competitive games with latency sucks. I’ll play RPGs or slower paced games that way, but not fast paced games or ranked modes! Also, when I released this video, it was the same week the Android/iOS version of Warzone released.

There was a team working on one, but nothing official last I knew. It seems like a simple fix, but I am a lowly user and not a developer, so I may not know the difficulties behind it.

I feel $50 is a good price for it. A lot of the XX units are around that right now, if not cheaper.

Considering what people are charging for modded IPS screen GBAs, I think even $70 is quite reasonable.

@@jyllianrainbow7371 It's not bad if you really want a GBA, but if you are looking for a emulator with the same capabilities as this, you can pay as little as $43 to get the same processor, wifi, bluetooth, ram, larger screens, and some will even have analog sticks. GBA fans who can't afford a older GBA to mod, this is a great alternative. I will get one for myself, but I'd rather tell someone to take $70 and buy the RG35XX H and a name brand SD card.
