Please note that Convoy's focusing of the LED isn't spot on like what's shown here, so you won't get the same range. I've focused these units myself by increasing the height of the reflector. I'm working with Convoy to produce the correct LED gasket to fix this. For my New Zealand customers you only get the best of the best, with the correct focusing.
Haven't heard of the L21B before... If both lights are using red CSLNM1 emitters, then it really does a great job hitting that long distance. I'm impressed.
@@PiercingTheDarkness Very Interesting! It's hard to tell by video, but does it use the same reflector? Hunting. Many animals can't see red very well and they keep much calmer. It also helps retain night vision and is easier on the eyes. I love headlamps with a red beam as well since it helps to keep insects away.

I want a flashlight that has the farthest throw distance. is it correct if i choose l21b cslnm compared to l21b culpm?? I don't need a big lumen, I just need a really far throw to have fun. but my money is limited, i can't afford to buy a flashlight lep. l21a is also expensive for my pocket. therefore I'm still confused to choose between l21b cslnm or l21b culpm. what do you think?
Hi, buy the L21B CULPM1 because Convoy still hasn't corrected the focus for the CSLNM1, so you won't get the range you see in my videos. I was making a custom part for what I sell in my New Zealand store. I'll have the Amutorch BT35 LEP review finished in 2-3 days and I compare it to the L21B PM1, you might find it helpful. The L21A CSLNM1 might be fine though, I don't have one to check.
@@PiercingTheDarkness the focus problem in cslnm is actually just a problem with the gasket, right? If that's the case, maybe I can use a double gasket to fix it maybe. Or maybe there's a problem with the reflector too? if it's a reflector problem, I don't think I can solve it, because the reflector is defective from the factory.

I ended up just using this 4040 gasket now, I just apply pressure to one side of the bezel while tightening and it moves in that direction, makes it simple to center. Convoy designed it for me as a lightweight L21A specially for mounting on a rifle. 210g vs 354g :)
