Please note that L21B CSLNM1 focusing of the LED isn't spot on like what's shown here, so you won't get the same range. I've focused these units myself by increasing the height of the reflector.
I'm working with Convoy to produce the correct LED gasket to fix this.
For my New Zealand customers you only get the best of the best, with the correct focusing.

It's a shame Simon isn't persisting a little too get that LED 'just right'. I wonder what his reasoning behind that is. To be honest ALL 3 lights are pretty phenomenonal when you consider what we were using 5-20years ago. Big 10" or 12" reflector spotlights. To be getting better performance from a single cell small light you can hold in you hand is crazy. Both L21's lit up the 550m target so well I think ANY hunter would have to be happy with that. Thanks for the great footage. CR888

Simon has a gasket in production, but who knows if it'll be as good. Can't use the 8A driver if it's going to be mounted. The only fix is to solder the spring upside down since the pad is so small. I use a stiff beryllium copper spring
I have 100x L21B's to build up :/ this is going to take awhile. I started gluing the gasket to the mcpcb to get the perfect centering as well since these Osram's are very fiddly

Is the problem when using a centrefire rifle that the recoil is enough to momentarily disconnect the circut so the light ends up actually being turned off? I think you gave me a link for nice thick berrylium springs on Ali-X. For me they need to be fit for use on .22's small centrefire 223/222 to my .270 & .308. It's about craydling/supporting that battery cell. Also I've been testing 2 K64 Vapecels for about 5weeks. Measuring voltage everyday for first 10 days then each week. Stabilisation IS a problem but not a big one on my poorly edumucated opinion. I also did a 50E, Mollicel (vapecel/) P42, T14 18350, the 6A red Vapecell 26350 & a couple of others just to see how they did as well. While not very scientific, I should do a thread with the results. Always enjoy the beam shots.

@@aussiehardwood6196 In the past when I was using the stock springs it would change modes after every shot, on Turbo it would change to low. This is using a .308, a .22 wasn't an issue. I now install dual springs where possible and have a spot welder for adding button tops. I haven't had this problem since . A button top also protects the top from any denting from the spring which could possibly stop the safety vent opening.

@@PiercingTheDarkness Yeah I have the springs in my 'cart' which are said to be heavy duty berrylium. As we speak I am unboxing a little Sofirn D25s. After watching your review I had to get one. My larger Perun Olight is powerful but bulky, heavy and awkward. Pitty the D25s comes with a 2200mah cell but I've got plenty of others to swap it out. Also My K-64 cells one of them self discharged to 1.66v from fully recharged at 4.2 so those cells definately have issues. I had to recharge it and when I did it measured 6700mah of capacity on my Nitecore charger. If those cells didn't discharge they would be great. Maybe there is a reason most 26650's are 5-5500mah.

Despite the CSLNM1 in the L21B getting 105 meters further range, you must understand that for ANSI FL1 rating you need to halve the range for usable lighting. 105m would only be an increase of 52.5m, this is why there's no noticeable visual difference since it's minimal. In saying that, it's impressive to get further range at 5A instead of 8A of the CULPM1, so if runtime is more important then it's a significant increase in battery life

That will come down to personal preference. Both have have pros and cons.
      EA02
Pros: 26650 compatibility, Anduril for mode flexibility, Lvl 6 runs for 8+ min, built in charging.
Cons: Unregulated FET driver and this also causes tint shift to blue with a high drain cell
      L21B CULPM1 version
Pros: lightweight 212g vs 287g, regulated buck driver, no built in charging is a pro for some, gun mountable.
      Cons: minimal heat sinking
The driver uses a timer that begins stepping down after 2 minutes and settles after a further 7 min. This could be seen as a con to some people, but I see it as a pro because you can continuously reactivate it if needed.
Both are very similar in range. I'll leave it up to you to decide what suits you

This has since been fixed, but no idea if it's as good as my measurements, I'll know in roughly 4 weeks when I get new stock. Regarding the centering of the LED, yes, the Osram chips are so small that it's difficult to get them perfectly centered in the Convoy models. Does it matter? No, not really, you may only lose 40m ANSI and get an ugly shape on a wall, but these are for long range and it's not something you're going to care about at 50m+

@@lightweaverx4381 The L21B in every emitter option except the SFT40 had a focusing issue. I gave Convoy the new measurements to get a new centering gasket made, but the 3030 gasket for the CSLNM1 & CSLPM1 are still too thin at only 0.8mm instead of 1.2mm thickness.

I don't see the point when A & B perform the same with my focusing mod. The L21B is a lightweight version of the L21A, same reflector diameter
