I wasn't even mad that it was confirmed at mobile game. I was watching with my eyes widened repeating to myself "THIS IS A MOBILE GAME ?! THAT'S AMAZING !!!" 😂
it’s not 2009 anymore mobile games literally can look the same as a console. Resident evil 8 is coming to iOS soon.

Finally SEGA is giving the respect mobile game deserves. I know it would be better purchase and availability for IOS and Android and Windows app. But it's something.
I agree, I’m a mobile game person, I don’t get much time to sit around and play games on a console but in my free time I play mobile games, most of the games I’d like to play i would have to watch the walkthrough instead. It’s sad but that my reality when it comes to games, so it’s nice to see SEGA branching out other platforms.
it looks so good! the visuals of the stage reminds me of lost world, but more fleshed out past just "grass, lava, beach, snow, forest"
Despite this being a mobile game it looks great I like that cream is playable cause throughout the past decade (after generations) she’s kind of been forgotten which was probably for the best cause of the writers of that time, at least she’s been getting good appearances in the idw comics. Who’s that new character on the promotional art? This is the 3rd new female character in a row first Sage, then Trip, now whoever this is.

The real question is is this game canon? And if it is when does it take place

It's incredibly likely that Apple funded a significant amount of this project specifically to add appeal to Arcade. It's not coming to other platforms.
Yeah, that's what I thought too. I've never heard of Apple Arcade before, so I guess letting more people know of this service by provoking talk was one of their goals.
Still, it'd be a shame to let this one die because of exclusivity, because it looks fun.

I love that this game is more heroes inspired! I think what sonic is doing by going into very different artstyles, being more fantasy-like or realistic. Keeps the franchise varied, so there is something to all of us! I hope the apple arcade thing doesn't sticks out for too long tho

I’d say Apple partially or full on paid for it.
Sega's been Apple Arcade exclusive with some of their mobile games for awhile. They did that same thing with their mobile Chu Chu Rocket and Crazy Taxi games.
Apple (company) funded production of Sonic Dream Team. Probably they also paid for full exclusivity.

This gives me MAJOR Project Hero vibes, at least when that game was based on Modern Sonic more so. It genuinely looks great and I’m finally getting a lot of the things I’ve been asking for… but it’s on Apple Arcade ONLY! There’s always a catch…
I have iOS devices so I will be able to play the game, but man… it feels so bad that most Sonic fans will not be able to play this at all.
I hope Sonic Dream Team does come to other platforms. When I saw the levels it reminds me of Fall Guys. I also hope we get to play as more characters in the future.
The game looks really good! Unfortunately it's only on apple arcade, so hopefully they make an android and non mac version eventually.

Edit: Apparently, you can spend around $130 on an apple tv box but that is still ridiculous. Also you have to pay a subscription for apple arcade? This game is looking to get cooked.
This is honestly pretty typical of SEGA if you ask me. Having an onslaught of good ideas eventually compiled together to form a stupid solution.
Now I know why I prefer Nintendo and their... not as stupid solutions.

Speaking of playable characters, first we had Tails, Knux and Amy returning in Update 3, now we have Rouge and Cream. I hope Shadow, Silver, Blaze and Omega are next. Then we could have Chaotix as well.

This Game Is what the Frontiers Cyberspace Levels should've been. It's Torturous the amount of potential those levels had. They literally could've had these levels found here in that game
Sam didn’t mention it and also it can be a bit controversial talking about it, but the renders, models and animations are looking so vibrant, fresh and well made that it gives me faith that if a mobile game can be given this amount of love and attention, then the big budget main series games will get the same treatment and it makes me so happy to think about 😎🔥
I mean the whole "Eggman finds a powerful artifact" plot thing has only really been done in Mania after Generations. Frontiers didn't really do it, yeah he was at the islands to steal the Ancient's technology originally but the whole plot wasn't that general premise it was just how Eggman ended up there. Superstars also really didn't do it cause Eggman's primary goal was to just turn all the big animals unique to those islands into robots. He did find the Black Dragon mural but in the end he didn't even get to use the guy as it just released itself. Here is the first real other time that plot point is a premise since Mania and this is definitely the best version of it. Eggman using the Reverie to create all these wacky levels that are his dreams of world domination, hell yeah.

I mean, regarding platform exclusivity... for example, getting a PS4 for Bloodborne is tough but rewarding. But switching to an Apple device for a mobile game is a huge commitment in my opinion.
Gripes aside that this is apple exclusive which is genuinely ridiculous. Why is SEGA trying to push Rouge as a new "member" of the squad so god damn hard??? Where the hell is Shadow??

As you said the game does look amazing but it's disappointing it's stuck on one platfrom which cuts out a lot of players, I have an android phone but i should be able to play it when it releases as many family memebers in my family have an apple device

I’m not joking when I say this is literally everything I’ve been asking for out of a sonic game since 2010. Sonic heroes esque level design, multiple playable characters in a big 3D setting, and for the first time since 2004, I CAN OLAY AS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER CREAM THE RABBIT!!!!! And to top it all off it looks like her advance moveset translated to 3D! IM SO EXCITED!!!!!
So another video I watched on this made a good point. That this game was specifically requested by Apple Arcade to be made for their service. Meaning that if if they hadn't, then it wouldn't have exsited at all.
That being said, it's still disappointing it's exclusive to that and I can only hope it's a timed exclusive.

First Sonic Prime and now this. Why are they trying to put Rouge into the main gang and taking her away from her Team Dark homies? (It was even worse in Prime because Rouge and Shadow never shared a single line of dialogue despite existing together in the same reality.)
The art style looks so good I want a main series console game with this style omg. Also imagine a main game with 2d animated cutscenes 😍😍😍
Let me stop you at the "You can probably buy 5 different currencies", since it's on apple arcade it WON'T have microtransactions. It won't have any of those Sonic Dash or Speed Battle nonsense currencies to unlock skins etc.

I'm happy I wasn't the only one that of Nights. Ariem is missing wrists like Nights too. Sonic has a habit of punching people in the face (Colors opening), where's Shadow? It's weird seeing Rouge but no Shadow. Good to see Cream back.

I don't have apple products but I do appreciate apple arcade because apple arcade games don't have the micro transactions that basically make all mobile games unplayable for me. I just wish android had a similar experience
Honestly this should be on switch like I love how beautiful this game looks and just maybe if it was on the switch that would be awesome bringing this on the go and just playing this anywhere but wow this game man just looks breathtaking

My issue with this game (besides being Apple arcade exclusive) is that a full-fledged 3D game on mobile devices seems a bit much. Mobile games are meant to be played in short bursts when you're on the bus or waiting for your doctor's appointment. Angry Birds, Doodle Jump, Fruit Ninja, and even Temple Run are great for that. You can finish a session or two in just a few minutes. But a full 3D Sonic game? I feel like you could only get halfway through a level before your name gets called up. If you're going to make a game that's designed to make you sit your butt down and play for several minutes, just make it a PC or console game.
The point of Apple Arcade is to have proper games on it. Not games what you just play for 2 minutes. Games you play for hours.
