- Time-lapse video on the journey of Wisteria vine germinated and grown from a dried podded seed over 40 days. The pod was harvested from our backyard 2 year-old Wisteria vines. Seed was extracted and carved off its outer shell to speed-up the germinating process. This wisteria vine was growth in a pot with potting-mix and watering regularly. It was growing steadily and ready to transplant to the ground after 40-days.

I enjoyed that. The music, the way she was growing, all of it next time record it till its first bloom🌺🌸💐 💗💗
A wisteria grown from seed can take 10-15 years to bloom. That would be quite a long timelapse.
Muy bonito video ❤
Cool!!
Awesome
My seeds were flat and round like a penny. Germinated them in water for 3 days emptied water out sealed it back up. Then sprouts formed in a week. Under soil they sprouted in 2 to 4 weeks. Keep the soil hydrated.
That’s Japanese wisteria. Round like a bean is Mercan
@@231Yamadori oh that's cool. They all died cause my cats kept digging the up and so did my pups.
@@MFourtySeven damn I have some I collected this fall stratifying now outside. We’ll see. Hope you get some kore
💯
Mine looks so different now I am scared I somehow planted the wrong seed haha
Might look different if you have a different type of Wisteria to what is shown in the video.
Plus no two plants grow the same, even from the same tree/seed pod
you most likely have chinese or japanese wisteria. they are very common. i think this on in the vid is a north american wisteria
North American Wisteria has a hard shell that needs to be removed first before it germinates. The other varieties don't need to be messed with - and just need to soak in water for 1-3 days before germination. If your Wisteria seeds look more circular/disk shaped, you likely have Japanese or Chinese Wisteria.
The one in the video is very leggy I feel like, I think the leaves are generally denser then that
@@courtneykayser1213 no need to remove the whole shell, just knick it with a knife so water can get through. I've had great success with this method
does it need constant light at the seedling stage? I just planted today and I have a lamp on it
I have some vines but they are green< do i have to wait to get brown?
Mine is still small, but long. No flowers yet just leaves...two years now.
American Wisteria (W. Frutescens) right?
Yes, it's correct!
@@eLapseTime Awesome I thought so!! My seeds look exactly like these and making sure they weren't the invasive Asian ones lol
Why she peel the seed tho
Easier for water saturation
Mine grows so much slower maybe im watering it too often?
Probably! You can check it with a moisture meter. Also, make sure it has enough sunlight.
You do realize that's a bean pod seed
it's north american wisteria, which looks different than asian wisteria seeds
You do know you sound like an arrogant person when you say you do know right😂
