I am planning to make L shaped widow and wall seating for dinning. Came across our creation in timely manner. Very easy to follow. Thank you very much. By the way I am 84 yrs old slight female but with our instruction I can do it. Thanks again
Thanks man. Doing my own so this helped. I think with mine I'll have the lid cut back a bit from the back. That way the unit can sit flush to the back of the wall 👍
Just finished watching the build! Very clear instructions. I like the simple application of pocket holes for the rails and styles as well as the cleat for the bottom shelves. Looks great Anthony.
Nice one Tony! I built a window seat with some bookshelves on both sides some years ago. I never really sit on it much, but I use the storage below for my record albums. It's so great seeing young guys doing carpentry. I'm hoping it's not a lost art. Aren't dads supposed to build things?!?
Thanks, I like the “young guy” comment lol, wish it were true, oh yeah and as far as Dad’s building stuff, I’ve been a dad for over 18 years already, so I guess we do actually build stuff hahaha
Is it possible to do something like this but, instead of the lift top, have shelves inside and sliding glass doors on the front so it acts as a display case?
Yo Bro., randomly came across your Channel at 5a. this morning. Since then I watched the barn doors, the box mantle & finishing uo this one too. Quality builds, quality videos!! I subbed also. Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
Sometimes due to the odd size of a build, it’s necessary to do certain things to maximize the sheet of plywood. By doing it the way I did, I was able to use cutoffs that I already had and make more profit on the job instead of spending more on materials. Plus I got some extra room in my shop by getting rid of what was sitting around.
NINO, are you not required to use safety close hinges (small children present) on boxes, seats, storage facilities like this in you state? otherwise real good video thanx rick
Great build and really nice tutorial! Thanks for sharing your work!
Nice build, love the trim inside the panels!

Great build. It matches the decor of your client's home perfectly.

Great video man! I love the way you explain everything
Only a year ago and not a hint of Festool. Nice to see a video about the reason for the transition. Nice seat as well!!

Nice! I'm new to this stuff. Not sure if this is saying much, but you make it look easy
Fantastic

@@noahdecoteau6381 I don’t see why not.
Thank you for simplifying this type of build. I have to do one this summer. What was the WxH for this box.
Can you add some spring to the lids so they don’t slam and fall on hands
@@neil1960 absolutely, they actually have special hinges and also pistons that look like small shock absorbers for that as well.

Thank you Mike and welcome aboard. Glad you are enjoying the videos. Plenty more to come so stay tuned.
nice!
Nice, gonna build one! You're cute! 🤣
Thank you! Good luck on your project and I hope this video helps.
Nice
Hows it sit flush against the wall with the hinges sticking out of the back and the lid folding back?
I installed a filler strip
Interested in why you didnt put long cleats and a single base in first, and then the dividers? Would have had the same result but half as much work?

bravo !!
Look nice and functional. How long did it take you to make? I know filming adds time to the build.
About a day and a half, considering that I didn’t have to paint it.
What’s the name of those hinges?

All adult household. Storage used once a year for blankets.
dope!
What type and size of screws did you use?
What size plywood?
This was 19mm. But You could use 18mm also.
Hi Anthony, what glue are you using? And is it better than the original glue.
I use titebond II, I’ve always used titebond. For 98% if jobs i use type II, for jobs that require full waterproof glue, i use type III
