Recently bought one , the more you play it the better it sounds , was a bit muddy at first but soon sorted itself out . Great for ac/dc , zeppelin, early Aerosmith . Takes peddles well .

Is that a ernie ball stingray? Love that guitar he's playing, and I actually am impressed with the Origin 5, i especially love any amp that allows you to use it as a head and pick a cab. This would sound great coming out of a 2x12 cab

These only sing when broken in, especially the speaker. Pedal heaven. Ask Pmt to break it in over night.

Sounds sweet. Wish it had a master volume. They missed a trick there for bedroom players

Master volume sucks tone from this kind of amp. The low power mode should help in bedroom though

Get a good true bypass eq and turn the volume down on the eq then crank the amp and slowly bring the volume back up on the eq. Cranked tones at talk over levels

A key to getting a good tone from this amp is to turn all of the knobs all the way up. I play mine that way, on the high output setting, with or without the boost, and I use the guitar's volume control as a "tone" control. I played two Epiphone SGs through it, one with P90s and the other with slightly hotter than average ceramic humbuckers, and to me this amp is a keeper. I use it as a practice amp, but it sounds much better through a Marshall 4X12 cabinet.

    • @MSMWorkshop

Exactly the opposite of my use..
Tilt at first quarter, full on bass, cut the mids and highs to 3 or 4.. The boxy feel disapear. Even more with an eq in the loop. Amazing amps.
