    This is absolutely the right way to show off the Osmose! Stunning organic quality to all these examples. I really want to get my hands on one to try it out, I have a feeling I wouldn’t be able to leave without it, hah! Keep up the great work Expressive, I look forward to seeing how this continues to improve over time

    Please show us more tutorials like these :) Osmose is a beautiful instrument and the learning curve takes time but it can be very rewarding. This helps me understand what this magical synth can do, thank you Expressive E and Tonnerre!

    Thanks so much for this real life demo and explanation. The presentation is so clear and insightful. I’m really enjoying exploring my osmose and these tutorials are so helpful and inspiring, please keep them coming, we really appreciate the hard work.
    The osmose is a deep and inspiring instrument and requires a different approach - for those willing to make the investment it’s very rewarding and it keeps on giving. As a guitarist and sound designer that can battle my way through playing keys I have found the osmose to be everything I didn’t even know I was looking for!
    It’s so refreshing to see a company continually investing in the education of its user base to help the community get the most out of their investment.
    Please keep it up and congratulations on the clear presentation!

      Thanks a lot for the kind comment, as a lot of energy and means went into these videos! Indeed, coming from another instrument actually helps understanding Osmose a lot. :) Maybe we'll do guitarist-specific content, who knows? :-)
      If you have any requests for themes to cover, just let us know.

    Osmose is a gift from heaven for the hypersensitive.

      Indeed!
      We've even heard that it's already been used in therapy sessions for patients to express their emotions. Maybe it's a myth but it could be interesting to see whether music tech could help people feel better.

    Congrats on the album. The Osmose is a really nice tool, if we start getting more presets over time, that’d be the only synth I’d need.

    Bravo Arthur! Une démonstration de maître d'Osmose, j'ai pris une claque! Très inspirant et cela donne envie d'approfondir l'utilisation de la bête, merci :)
    Aussi: génial l'album, l'approche, les concepts, la synesthésie, le son!

    Thank you Arthur, and BRAVO. That's been a fun 37 minutes. I had my headphones on and at some point I could see the puzzled look of my wife because I was smiling... by myself.
    I'm just an amateur, makin music for the fun of it, but I'm considering to buy a refurbished one, if available. As my wife, and above all, my daughter, sing well, and I can finger pick a little of acoustic guitar and play some notes on the piano, we have recorded a few covers at home by now with Ableton. It's been a lot of fun but when I put my "producer" jacket on, I've always struggled a bit to play some woodwinds or cello parts with expression for the lack of interaction between the keyboard (Novation Impulse 25) and the instruments. And I'm lucky enough that at least I have the channel aftertouch and a good action. Have a good time.

    Absolutely brilliant! I've learned more about Osmose in this video than I have looking at dozens that usually concentrate on 'wobbly' presets! I'm collecting my Osmose this weekend and cannot wait to learn this new way of playing a keyboard instrument ( I just hope 6 decades of 'traditional' piano playing doesn't get in the way!

    • @ExpressiveE
      @ExpressiveE  Месяц назад +4

      That's exactly why we made this video! :) We want to make it clear that Osmose is not a tech gimmick and that MPE/expressivity have musical benefits for musicians of all levels and background. And no, you're 60 (wow!) years of piano will not be an hindrance... it's quite the opposite. :D

    The best way to play Osmose is not to play it as you play with any other piano and keyboard. Yes there is a keybed but you play the sound engine directly. That a huge step forward for me, thank EE!

      You're absolutely right! It's interesting, because each time we meet new artists... we have to spend a little time teaching all these cool expressive/MPE concepts, to be sure they all tap into the potential of the many gestures you can use with Osmose :)

    you guys need to make a version that is just a midi controller only , no synth built in.. your sales will skyrocket if you do this. i dunno why you are not doing this already. it's abit expensive as a synth, as a midi controller you could price it better and it is truly what ppl want in music production. I already own the Jamstick guitar, it comes with it's own software, and honestly i'm not a big fan of the sounds i hear on the osmose synth or the jamstick software. i prefer to make my own custom mpe sounds in Vital synth. you can literally make and sound in that thing, even import samples into vital, most ppl dont' know this.

    That’s impressive thank you so much for this video ! Would you say that could make complex music like this only with the osmose and no external softwares ?

    • @ExpressiveE
      @ExpressiveE  14 дней назад

      @@louispaulcaron2343 to each musician their tools but to be honest, we think you can do a looooooot of music with only Osmose, a DAW and a few MPE plugins 🖤🤍

    Half of the video is about external sound engine,…I suppose the message is simple…the collaboration between Haken/continuum is half successful…I guess Eagan matrix is too stiff for young company called Expressive E, especially the end stage of Eagan DSP is limited… I had to opt for Chroma Console {hologram} to help Osmose with some “wrapup” effects. The eq/compressor/reverb of the Eagan is a joke. Especially pairing with capabilities of Osmose keyboard. Just to wrap this rant…The focus is still more on physical modeling/ sculpturing then moving the expressiveness towards the finishing stage of sound… thus you need help of a computer to help with robust effects plethora. Perhaps my slight disappointment with Osmose is that you keep forcing me to add computer to this instrument, while demonstrating that Osmose can replace computer-less instruments such as violin/oboe or a pluck instrument…😊
