If you have a high-damage dealing build, Halu is really good to take since you'll be getting a metric shitload of coins.
Land levels as more fan spawns means more experience. Aside from the first time clears and some of the hard stages halu is an autopick for me even after I unlocked everything.
Risu + Solo stamp + Gold Stamp and you will get around 90k coins per clear.
funnily enough, IRyS before Greed stamp nerf would rather have no damage to reach peak gold farming
cuz less damage meant more hits per mobs = more gold as the hoard would accumulate more and more
oh right, also, the stage2 20 minute boss is A-Chan, short for “Friend A”. she’s the one running the shop here.

For more thorough context on this:
Tokino Sora (the first Hololive member) and her high school friend (anonymously referred to at the time as "Friend A") originally proposed the idea of Hololive to a tech startup CEO named Motoaki "Yagoo" Tanigou. Once Hololive was established, "Friend A" became the first official behind-the-scenes staff member, thenceforth referred to as "Staffer A" or "A-chan" for short. Since then, she has become a high level staffer and producer for the company, and as OP mentioned is basically "the one running shop". A-chan is also one of only 2 behind the scenes staff members to receive a full vtuber avatar, so she often acts as the public-facing mouthpiece for management and staffers, thanking fans on behalf of the backstage team and making major public announcements.
Because stage 2 is the Hololive office building, A-chan is chosen as the 20-minute boss for it. Stage 1 was based loosely on HoloEN, so the boss for that stage was Beeg Smol Ame.

Well yeah. She is one of the best (if not the top best) character to clear the "win while not moving even once" achievement. With the right build, you can just sit on one place and everything that are approaching you will be deleted lol
Edit: It seems everyone has their own favorite for this challenge lol. Why I say that Sana is the best is because of her circular AoE attack that protects her on the early game and the fact that she can absorb all exps on the map by using her character skill. And imo, getting exps are the worst part of the challenge. While Sana just bypass it with her ult.
I managed to clear it with Fauna. Beeg cooldown was too long to use consistently and moons rotation distance is a bit too far away so when something gets through, you are pretty much fucked. Fauna's leaves' pattern, on the other hand, starts right on the character model and cleans up the mobs lucky enough to come through while Fauna's special both heals her and clears the screen (root attack on heal skill).
I think Anya is argueably the best character for that, considering she has a skill specifically for not moving.
Fauna is the best because she's a healing focused chara, add with nurse, bandage, and double meal now she become an infinite healing tower lol
I thought most people used either Anya or Risu for the couch potato achievement... I did it using Mumei, I figured that Friend + Study Glasses would let me level up more... I was right. 🎉

0.7 update will be crazy and will hopefully be out in the Spring. The update seems to have a dungeon crawling mode according to the one tweet teasing it the dev made on their Holocuredev twitter

@@ashardalondragnipurake yeah he is. The dude is a professional animator that has worked on big anime like Mushoku Tensei and One Piece as well as some games like River City Girls. This is why updates are slow for this since this is just a side project he does for fun

I can honestly say that this is great fun to watch. It's especially fun trying out new characters and slowly piecing together their optimal playstyle by getting their skills and main weapon upgraded. There is a surprising amount of variability in how different characters are best used.
Please do more of this, its so fun to watch

Myth you got me addicted to this game, it was always in my backlog cause I fw vtubers but your video made me play it and now i have 25 hours on it with no plan of stopping.
Imo best/favourite character has to be Moona, absolutely insane aoe and damage.
(I also played Picayune Dreams because of your recommendation and holy fuck that game has one of the coolest bosses I've ever fought + amazing music... The game is also just creepy af, genuinely got chills going through one of the boss memories)
IRyS is still a money making factory with the right setup, but a few other characters are good for it too, like Reine. There's literally an achievement for beating an entire stage without moving at all, there's a couple of characters really good for it and Sana is one of them.

My entire knowledge of Hololive is "There's that dog one, I saw a couple animations of her in Banjo Kazooie." And "I'm aware of the shark girl."
And I still love the game.
Fun fact, those derpy heads in the second level are the dog's fans. She made the design herself.

Your weapons can random get blue modifiers (Enchantments). You can also apply them with the Anvil or re-roll the Enchantment. If you have Enchantments on 2 Weapons and Collab them, the Collab will keep both Enchantments and re-roll 2 Enchantments on the Anvil.

Not too surprised he died at the end, when I noticed how far away he was from A-chan and how all his attacks were based on close-range AOE.
If you liked how Amelia has a pet and how Sana lets you AFK once you get rolling, you should try Mumei. She's the last Council member you haven't gotten a roll for yet and she gets both a friend named Friend that follows her around AND can shoot ricocheting homing projectiles once her main weapon is upgraded.
Blue on a weapon means it had an enchantment. Each season has a pool of possible enchantments. You can add/replace an enchantment with the anvils instead of leveling up a weapon (for a price). Collabs inherit enchantments from both weapons, but adding or rerolling the enchantment only gives them 1, so it's best to enchant both collab items before they're maxed out (and reroll any enchantment which doesn't help the collab). Items and collabs can only roll enchantments that actually matter for them, but enchantments inherited from before a collab might not affect the collab.

You can have a few collabs in 1 run, every weapon has at least 1 collab; still you might get a bunch of weapons that don't mesh. But you'll probably take a little while to unlock all the weapons and discover all the collabs.
On the level up screen you can press Right to open a menu that lists all the collabs you discovered.
As a hololive fan and fan of the game, it's always fun watching people discover just how deep this game is, considering it is a VS clone.
Regular collabs are 2 weapons at max level. Some collabs are combinations of weapons that are references to 2 members, such as the axe (a reference to Hoshimachi Suisei) and the lava bucket (a reference to Sakura Miko).
The ice sake collab is a reference to the same member that the wamy water is: Yukihana Lamy, who is currently not in the game. Some members occasionally call her Wamy instead of Lamy, hence Wamy Water, and she collaborated with a sake distillery to release her own sake which was good enough to actually win an award. And this wasn't just putting her image on a bottle, she was involved in the decision making process as they developed that specific sake.
Anyway, The command that do exist are all lore accurate, there are no collabs that wouldn't make sense, but even if you know the lore, it takes a while to figure out all the collabs. Just keep notes on what you've found and what combinations you know don't collab. When you max out 2 weapons that can collab, the golden anvil will appear very quickly, so if you max out 2 weapons and it doesn't appear wirhin like 30 seconds, they don't collab.
For those wondering, the game is generous in that you are more likely to roll weapons that are able to COLLAB with weapons that are already on your arsenal.
It's so strange to see someone with a save file so new that Irys could ever be in any danger. I'm so used to her just standing still for 20 minutes.

The top OL and topper OL in the hard mode version of the map are basically the toughest enemies in the game outside of the Yagoo swarm in endless, which is why I always try to grab the phoenix feather when playing those maps.

Boss of stage 2 is the character thats working on the laptop in the store page. Her name is A-chan and is director of events and sometimes hostes at Hololive.
Axe+Book seems like the way to go at first, but it is one of the worst ones in a long run, because it's not affected by attack speed increases. Eventually, you'll generally have like +60-100% attack speed by the end of a stage, so that not working hurts.
Man, that was a rough catch from the boss, these are always fun to watch, glad you got the endless book on that run, the perfect collab there plus a super collab which is great

20:15 Something similar happened to me once (thought it was in Stage 3, not 2) Where I died and the last boss died immediately after that (I literally saw it die and drop the box and the exp in the game over screen) but it did not count as a stage clear.

When I learned how to build a summoner character in Noobs Want to Live at some point I could just stand in one place and don't move until SOME of the bosses show up. It is one of the best feelings in this type of games 😅

if you want to sit and do nothing you need to try Fauna; her entire kit is about healing and invulnerability, all you need is the bandaid and the breastplate and you can complete stage 3 without moving

Only in early game, late game doesn't give much effect.
My favorite collab is the Asacoco + Fan Beam... There is also a super clean for it, but I'll let you try to find it. (Imo, it's kinda hard to find unless you know some pretty deep Hololive lore.)
One hint: on the upgrade screen there is a pop-out list of all the collabs & super collabs you have found.

There's an achievement where you have to complete a stage without moving. It's called "Couch Potato."

I do enjoy watching people enjoy something i enjoy.
But to try and help out a little, each character has 5 things unique to them. 1 weapon 1 special and 3 skills.
Usually one of the skills is a trigger of some kind and making the character trigger that thing often is key to making the best of them.
As you use different charcters you unlock corresponding items too. So your encouraged to play with many.

Such a very good game! And its free! The maker, Kayu, is a huge Hololive fan. Hololive even offered to let him monetize the game but he turned them down saying that it was a passion project and charging money for it would make things different.

If you have the Breathe-In Type Asacoco Collab and stand under an enemy almost all the bottles will hit the enemy . This can speed kill even bosses.

Quick tip: Check the achievements to unlock new weapons and other boast items. They helped me a lot.🎉😊
Since you asked, after buying the upgrade for enhanced secondary weapons, the blue means that they are enhanced. All the secondary weapons now have a chance to spawn with an enhancement or you can use an anvil to enhance one weapon with a random enhancement. And as you saw, if both parts of a collab are enhanced, the collab inherits both parts.
