@@dimplep0p Robert was a good guy and Neds best friend and absolutely was in love with her, they were promised to each other...he like everyone else thought she had been abducted by Rhaegar, so what you are calling obsession and possession was anger and fury at the loss of the one he loved and who was to be his wife...he did not know she had gone willingly.
@@LFire12 nevermind Robert's character, but in response to the original post, i was referring to Robert & Lyanna's relationship as a whole, which is pretty much one-sided (from Robert) and ended in tragedy, and how i dont think i want Gendry & Arya to go down that route
@@dimplep0p sometimes I think he was just obsessed too, but I don't know... that scene where he says "and the seven kingdoms can't fill the hole she left" (more or less) just makes me think that he truly loved her. Think about it: he thought she had been kidnapped and later raped. Of course he would be angry about it.

Beautiful. I loved when it showed Arya looking at Gendry when he was taken as Robert talked about how he felt when and after Lyanna was taken from him.
I like them as a couple about time arya gets a love interest so happy it's gendry not that I didn't see it coming a million miles away everyone deserves love yes even arya and gendry they are the Jamie and Claire of the game of thrones series like the way they are always protecting each other you can see that they love each other
I can’t help to get the feeling that this is the couple we will be getting at the end. Keep in mind that GRRM mention that D/D will do a similar ending to the novels.
In the novels I see difficulty for this couple to happened since GRRM left so much heavy foreshadow for Jon and Arya’s possible love turning into something more. Saying he will keep his original ending back from 1990 and the letter where he revealed his intentions of paring Jon and Arya after they find out Jon is not a Stark is from 1993.
So I see this a way we all know

Arya is literally a Lyanna 2.0
And Gendry is Robbert Baratheon.
I see D/D paralleling too much Jon and Daenerys ( Lyanna And Rhegar) to Arya and Gendry lines and scenarios.
Like the way they both scene Jon and Arya are above their southern loves. And both gendry and Daenerys are looking up with eyes full of sparkle

I just think Arya will get with Child. Through her babe she will continue the line of Baratheon.

LoveInTheLight is not ew. It is hint throughout the books. that d/d decided to ignore GRRM work is different. And they aren’t sister and brother they are cousins and Martin state that he will have them fall for the other once Jon finds out he is not a Stark. Cousins married throughout the history of Westeros. Some of the most powerful houses had cousin marriages.

Arya and Gendry have been a thing so. And it wouldn't make any sense for Jon and Arya to suddenly be into each other. It's pretty clear Arya sees him as a brother. In the show
LoveInTheLight but I’m not saying in the show. D/D got ride of their story line when they give Sansa Jeyne Poole storyline. In show Jon doesn’t leave the watch for Sansa. In the book he leaves the watch for Arya. As he dying he prays that the spider wife he send to help Arya escape Ramsey would get her in time and bring her hime to to him. In the show they didn’t do that. They made Jon seem like he didn’t care about the Starks. In the books Jon didn’t leave the watch for Ygritte, Ned, or Robb. But he couldn’t contain his anger when he find out Ramsey had Arya.
Jon and Arya together? To each their own but that’s a no from me, I’ve read the books as well and I can’t imagine them like together together? That’s just weird. They grew together and even if they’re not siblings they’re still blood related and most importantly they were raised as brother and sister emotionally. I just can’t see the romance there

I never believed Robert loved Lyanna. He probably never knew who Lyanna was as a person. Obsessed with hurt ego yes, wanting what he couldn't have.

Gendry missed his chance with Arya, he rejected her several times with his inferiority complex "you wouldn't be my family.. you'd be my lady" Arya could have looked down on him..... she was a lords daughter.. a high born but she never did. She stood up for him and praised him to others many times... even confronting the red woman. He didn't reciprocate until Arya was of an age where he desired her sexually, he only approached Arya with declarations of love when the Queen made him Lord of storms end.... by that time it was too late.... while Arya still cared for him she had already made up her mind to move on with her life and her travels. Pride worked against Gendry...... Arya's pride was of her family and name but she never used pride or stature as a tool ..... she took everyone at face value. She liked and loved without condition.

Arya has known Gendry for a long time, they went through hard times together. She trusts him. She has real affection for him. And he's a very good looking young man. She chose to lose her virginity and chose him. I'm not sure that's love. She has true feelings for him, but not love as he feels it.
She is a wandering killer, he is an old friend with whom she shared a moment. He will be a Lord; she will always be a killer.
So you think that she doesn't love him?, then why didn't she rejected him in a less intimate way like not kissing him and just saying something like "i don't want you, i don't want to be with you, forget me".

@@christianjesusperezsantos1527 But they are intimate. She didn't reject him as a man or as a lover. She rejected the idea of being a Lady in a castle. She always has. Other than Jon he is probably the only man she trusts. Perhaps they will continue as lovers but a Lady? What would she do? Needlework? She has another kind of Needle work. Household accounts, instructing servants? Perhaps being gracious at feasts? A girl is Arya Stark, not Lady Baratheon of Storm's End.
She kissed him so he would know she was not rejecting him as a man. That she still had true feelings for him, but she will be no Lord's Lady.
