1. Visualize your best & dream performances 2. Insist on mindset for yourself as you train. Train with intensity, body language, confidence, show confidence, pass, receive the ball confidently, receive it with focus, train with focus. Every training you create a blueprint to do that when you come to matchday 3. Have a couple of tangeable and controllable goals.Being vocal, great body shape, dominating the penalty area, being on my toes as all times, good positioning. 4. Keep great body language throughout the game no matter what. 5. Keep things in perspective. Focus on improving & learning, developing
Great that you're doing these, Steve, and that people are watching. Really bold move; people need to hear about this as much as how to do the physical skills.
Been struggling to find my greatness in football but this sure motivates me to move on and keep on moving forward. I appreciate this video very much. thanks
This video has engaged me to have the will to perform, and improve immensely within any football game, it brought me to think that i can never be beaten, win or lose, i'd still be a winner on the inside with the positive 'body language' that has been foretold to others like me, to improve...all in all, fantastic vid!
I am planning on buying Soccer Tough, I was enthralled to see that you had Dan Abrahams, i hope to see him again in another video for more advice on improving your mental game.
Great tips. I used to always go into games thinking that I was going to score 10 goals and do tricks everywhere. Now I go into the game with the aim of just being dangerous around the box and making good plays for my team mates, and I've noticed that my confidence and performances have improved a lot! Thanks Steve!
All the tip did help improve my game drastically , the imagination tip helped me be a bit more confident on the pitch . Thanks,Str skill school. I take them as my coach .
Great that people like this. I have plans to make more. Will tweak the sound and visuals. I have a lot of ideas how to help you to become better in different ways.
@STRskillschool i have lost control over the ball so often each day that i am embarrassed of it....yesterday the ball went rolling from under my feet twice in a row...that was so embarrassing...the players with whom i train are like semi pros....every time i play with them i am under pressure....i have never performed well in front of them...i can't stop thinking about what they think of me.... ....i feel so much pressure like i am in a world cup final....
Don't worry about what they think. Dont imagine what will happen if you lose the ball, think positively. If the ball is coming towards you, think "good first touch", look up, and play quickly. Lastly, Be comfortable with yourself, you have to like yourself above all. If you do that then you'll gain confidence and it'll be so much easier.
@Jim Taylor thats true. I am giving time too. But i should have made more progress. Nervousness is delaying everything. I am 20 already and not even a semi pro. I cant stay in local town clubs forever.
you know what, I think you have to play with little bit weaker players for some period of time to become more confident and mentally strong. lots of football teams do that procedure when they practice between two seasons and get new players during the transfer window. try that and one more thing: practice your technique cause that will help you to win time when receiving the ball and passing someone - there your confidence will grow mate. hope all our advices will help you get through hard time you got right now! just go on!
i need a great mindset for my upcoming match since i got only few months experience on fencing , but i maybe up against someone much better than me ,cause of this my minds get shaken every time i think about the match since it kinda scares me to face the opponent who has far more experience than me ,i cant take any lose since i cant let my team down thank you for the motivation Dan abhrahams
1 and 5 are the better ones I thought, visualize playing well and 5 keep things in perspective dont be overconfident, have a bit of fear. masking your body language is not the point, although 90% of communication is done through body language people say, if you are feeling down it will show, just keep fighting til the end, one thing always helped me in a game is, dont be like torres when you are losing and I would always pick my game up cause if you keep fighting for every ball you can usually pull something back
wow, what an encouraging video. I strongly believe that mentality is far more important in sport than any amount of skill and technique. However, they can both be trained similarly. Thanks for the inspiration!
amazing video I know just what to tell my coach thanks mr dan you really inspired me I normally dont focus on videos but this took my attention so helpful
Steve, thank ou for a such opportunity - to study with Daniel. A small "bug" - could you please keep a sound a little bit softer, please? sometimes it is hard to understand Daniel. Hope it helps! ) thank you again!
Me and my high school team won our first tournament yesterday! First two games first two wins! That's what I do think of my best performances in goal Future San Iker!
