@@TheSewingChannel Your sewing videos always have unique ideas, which I appreciate. I've seen the Star Block many times before, but not made with scrappy pieces and inverted blocks. Will you be making a full quilt? Would really love to see a video on the end result if you do. 😃
I have always had trouble making the points meet nicely. I never thought of starting closer to the center point. Thank you for all this information. Please stay safe.
Absolutely stunning! I love ALL the stars. Can't wait to see the finished quilt. I too love all things scrappy, and love love love bright rainbow-y things!! Great job!
I like your tip about sewing from the center of the star. I never tried that before! Also, I've used the clapper for several years and I love it! Pretty blocks!
I just want to add that this is the most beautiful star quilt I have ever seen and I am planning on making one, that's why I was asking about regular cotton sewn with batiks.. 💙
I love the scrappy look.. Great way to use scraps. I recently purchased a wood clapper too and after using it I was amazed how my blocks turned out. Just love it!!
That’s what I was curious about, too. You gave a lot of really useful info. I like the medical forceps and will be ordering those. I usually stand at my ironing board too long trying to open seams, so that really caught my attention. Do you have any thoughts on the wool ironing mats. I’m seesawing back and forth about getting one. Thanks for the great videos.
Hi Carolyn. The forceps are a HUGE help opening up seams! I have also wondered about the wool mats. I will probably/eventually try one but I haven’t yet. ✅👍🏼
*_It's actually "marbled fabric"...I just made a larger ironing station with the print. When I watched the video back it looked like I was ironing on a counter top LOL....(but I'm not)🤓_*

It just makes sense to my brain to sew the center seam first. ✅🌈 the clapper is awesome!!!! Thanks for watching!💙

Awesome! Keep me posted on how it all turns out!✅💛
Your rainbow starz are beautiful. I don't feel so bad about keeping scraps now. Hope to make this soon. I purchased a clapper and love it too.
*_Always good to keep scraps🤓 I never knew how good the clapper was!- I'm a believer now!🌈_*
Love it. Many thanks. 🪴
*_you're welcome💟🤓_*
I love the scrappy look.. Great way to use scraps. I recently purchased a wood clapper too and after using it I was amazed how my blocks turned out. Just love it!!
*_I know! Who knew we needed a chunk of wood for quilting LOL😂_*
I love that this is truly a scrap buster! Thank you so much!
You’re welcome 🌈👍🏼
Beautiful tutorial! I’m not crazy about the rainbow colors but would do scrappy colors , just not rainbow effect. ❤️
Love it
Hi, I'm new to your channel! Thank you for the info and look forward to your next video!
Welcome to my channel🌈💙💛♥️💜
I will try to make it
*_Awesome!💟_*
Other quilters I have watched say pressing all open can weaken in time.
I’ve heard that too. I wonder if there are any real time studies in it?
I noticed that you have put cotton with batiks, will this quilt wash well?
*_Great question Angie!!!- I prewash my fabric always because I HATE surprises✅ no problems at all🤓_*
Beautiful, I was amazed how perfect it came up. I am new to this and I have trouble with that center seam all the time. Thanks for that tip
*_Glad it was helpful!💟_*
What kind of tweezer are you using to open the seams?
*_They are plastic medical forceps. ✅Here's the link _**_amzn.to/2RfkRnn_*
Thanks!

Where did you get the small ruler that you used to make the two lines?
*_Here's the link to the ruler...I also linked it in the description box ✅ _**_amzn.to/3wDF7iS_*
What are you ironing on?
*_It's actually "marbled fabric"...I just made a larger ironing station with the print. When I watched the video back it looked like I was ironing on a counter top LOL....(but I'm not)🤓_*
I'm a bit confused by a term you're using. When you say low "volume" does that equate to low "value" when choosing colors?
Great question sue! Yes volume=value. I consider low volume to be any light fabric even with prints. ✅
