      @@TheSewingChannel Your sewing videos always have unique ideas, which I appreciate. I've seen the Star Block many times before, but not made with scrappy pieces and inverted blocks. Will you be making a full quilt? Would really love to see a video on the end result if you do. 😃

    I like your tip about sewing from the center of the star. I never tried that before! Also, I've used the clapper for several years and I love it! Pretty blocks!

    • @TheSewingChannel
      @TheSewingChannel  3 года назад +1

      It just makes sense to my brain to sew the center seam first. ✅🌈 the clapper is awesome!!!! Thanks for watching!💙

    • @TheSewingChannel
      @TheSewingChannel  3 года назад +1

    What kind of tweezer are you using to open the seams?

    • @TheSewingChannel
      @TheSewingChannel  3 года назад +2

      *_They are plastic medical forceps. ✅Here's the link _**_amzn.to/2RfkRnn_*

      That’s what I was curious about, too. You gave a lot of really useful info. I like the medical forceps and will be ordering those. I usually stand at my ironing board too long trying to open seams, so that really caught my attention. Do you have any thoughts on the wool ironing mats. I’m seesawing back and forth about getting one. Thanks for the great videos.

    • @TheSewingChannel
      @TheSewingChannel  3 года назад +1

      Hi Carolyn. The forceps are a HUGE help opening up seams! I have also wondered about the wool mats. I will probably/eventually try one but I haven’t yet. ✅👍🏼

    What are you ironing on?

    • @TheSewingChannel
      @TheSewingChannel  3 года назад +1

      *_It's actually "marbled fabric"...I just made a larger ironing station with the print. When I watched the video back it looked like I was ironing on a counter top LOL....(but I'm not)🤓_*

    I'm a bit confused by a term you're using. When you say low "volume" does that equate to low "value" when choosing colors?

    • @TheSewingChannel
      @TheSewingChannel  3 года назад +2

      Great question sue! Yes volume=value. I consider low volume to be any light fabric even with prints. ✅
