The wood clapper is such a good idea! I use a big square ruler with a dumbbell on to for my clapper. It’s a slow go but it does an awesome job at flattening that block. This is so cute!❤
These trees are adorable! I just threw away a bin of Christmas scraps left over from last year’s Christmas quilts! Arghhhh! Ah well, I’m sure it won’t take too long to gather more. Love your videos! I always find something I want to make. Crumb Forest is definitely one! Thanks again!
I love, love, love this!! I have extra fabric from all the frantic seasonal sewing, so I'm going to relax, have fun, and make a crumb forest. Thank you for all of the detailed tuts you do.
Nice trees need some snow. LOL. I see how you use up your extra pieces of fabrics. My Mother would use a 5 draw beruo. Put lite green to dark green with a mix of black fabric. Then repeat the color with other fabric pieces and colors.
Such a great idea for my HUGE collection of Christmas scraps. Just think - pillows! Tote bags! Pot holders! Table runner! A bag for a Christmas present instead of paper! Tree skirt! A giant quilted tree for my front door! Thank you!!
I just have to comment again... I LOVE this, I’m so Excited, ( like a kid:) to start these fun tree blocks...This is my Very Favorite so far...More fun Christmas “stuff” please!
Love, love, LOVE this project!!! 💚 Yes, very "stinkin' cute"! What a fun way to spend the day building a scrap forest. What I really like is that it don't necessarily have to have a Christmas theme. It can be a general scrappy forest using fabric pieces of greens and browns, with maybe a cream or beige background. My mind is racing with ideas about this idea! Would be such a nice quilt for a cabin or house in the woods. Thanks Tracy, for yet another original sewing/quilting idea. Keep 'em comin'! 😃😃😃
YES! I was thinking this morning about a wall hanging for fall, for my Mudroom, to cover my Electrical Panel... I have a nice LoneStar Wall Hanging there, but would like to make 4 different 'seasonal' one to hang there... was thinking pumpkins, maple leafs... but this tree, may fit the bill with autumn fabrics!
I absolutely love this. I would live this as a runner for my dining room table too. It's so festive at crumb forest. You are truly creative. Thanks for sharing this.
I like this so much. Thanks! . Years ago I was in a swap of house blocks. Mine kind of looks like my childhood home with Mom's plants in the picture window. I could roughly create that neighborhood with the church, park, etc and intersperse with trees. Or put the houses tossed in a crumb quilt forest. I really like the techniques where you don't really need a paper pattern.
Love this, your trees are definitely going in my quilt scraps and blocks quilt. My tree’s will be the leftover scraps from the Stagnation quilt. Thank you so much. I was running out of ideas to use those scraps!
Absolutely marvelous… love it that it goes together so fast and ends up so great looking without having to do any precise cutting which can bog you down! Love it!🥰
So stinkin' cute! Love both ways to make them... would there be a reason to choose one over the other? Would the one with the muslin foundation, wash better if made into a quilt? LOVE this idea and video... not too early to think about Christmas as we need to start now for gifts!!!
*_Never too early to think Christmas LOL😂/ I'm not sure which method is "better". The foundation muslin does make a stronger quilt I would think. I really do think it comes down to preference DH 🤓_*
OMG What a great idea! Thanks for this super cute design and excellent tutorial. I will definitely give this a try. I hit subscribe and look forward to watching more of your videos. Thanks again!
Im not into cutting before the very last step( when you cut out your shape of the tree) when improv sew as you can make the straight lines by choosing where to put your crums.
So darn cute! I love crumb quilting, it's very addictive.
*_Oh Beth! You are so right!!! So addicting! LOL😂Crumb Forest is precious for sure...I just want to keep making em!🌲_*
Cute n creative

Yes ma'am it is❣️ Thank you....you are very kind...I put the command hook on all my rulers due to my arthritis🤩
