The problem with that is that it makes certain civs WAY worse. It's completely unfair, and eleminates a whole bunch of the game.
There's one thing I love about RTS games that have specific years on each turn, while I do like what they add to the game, and that is this.

I tried to organize it on proximity to each other in real life
And the last battle is because I ran out of Civs

I say, do a Greece vs Germany 1v1. A wild run for the City-States from both sides sounds interesting.
You could also do Eastern vs Western Civs Teams.

-America and England vs Japan and China
-Gorgo and Scythia vs Norway and Aztecs
-WWI: Allies vs Central
America, England, France, China, Kongo, India, Brazil, Japan and Rome vs Germany and Ottomans (Arabia)vs Russia (no team extra land)

~All civs get huge boost in production and economy, also huge boost in city defenses to make it extremely costly to take a city, like in WWI

America(get's extra production and aircraft), Britain(get's extra navy), France(little power), China(extra defense), and Poland(weak), Greece, Brazil vs Germany(huge army, aircraft, navy, economy, great generals), Japan(huge army, marines, culture, happiness) and Rome vs Russia (no side, has really big boost to science, culture, happiness, land, and extreme boost to land military)

European civs vs native civs (kongo, aztects ect.)

When your having a stroke upon trent
Drew, I love the idea of a tournament. For the 1v1s, just do a simple pyramid style tournament with Domination Victory only. Whoever has the higher domination score wins.
Then, maybe take a losers pool, and have them compete? For voting, you should do it through straw poll.
Also, it would have to be a fair game. Don't randomize the map type for the tournaments. Stick with one type of map for ever match.

That "new city-state" was there because it is a part of the TSL Europe map, and it can be found on a normal non TSL Europe map if u have the mod enabled.
I love the facecam because I like to see the expressions on Drew's face.

Drew uses the term "colonized" very loosely. Settling around your own country is not colonization. To colonize you need to have colonies. Example: India was a British colony. Normandy was not.
Colonization (or colonisation) is a process by which a central system of power dominates the surrounding land and its components.

the design was American they were mostly built in Britain by Britain at least during the war, ofcourse many were given to the UK through the use of a Lend-Lease agreement the M4 Sherman tank is the British name for the their version of the tank they named it after the American Civil War general William Tecumseh Sherman. the American version is officially called the Medium Tank, M4, The brits also had another version of the tank called the Sherman Firefly that had a bigger and more powerful gun.

I like the idea of 3 civ matches better than 2 civ matches. That said: I'd love to see themed matches.
"Holy Wars": Spain vs. Arabia (add Congo for 3);
"Culture Club": Brazil vs. Russia (add France)
"Classical Crushers" Scythia vs. Rome (add Egypt)
"Ancient A$$ Kickers" Sumeria vs. Aztecs

You could post them to coincide with March Madness. The six winners would get automatic bids, to others get in as "at large" civ's. That makes eight. Then you have a three round tournament to crown the Champion.

You have to consider tech levels vs military score, because you can have a big army of earlier tech troops that get rolled by a couple of more modern, and the numbers won't really properly reflect it.
WW2 tournament with Germany, Poland, France, Russia, England, Italy (Rome), America and Japan. It could go like this:
Russia vs Poland
America vs Japan
Italy vs France
Germany vs England
Then do a 2v2 (or 1v1 + 1v1 into final 1v1), preferably axis vs allied if it happens, see who wins the WW2! And hope there are no rivers in Germany's continent...

I like how different 2017 Drew is compared to 2020 Drew. 2017 Drew is breaking down unit movements in detail. 2020 Drew is making memes about the turkish conquering the British Empire and shaving his hair.
So if you want a tournament 1v1, I think you should get a standard pangea map so cities are reachable by land and sea giving an opportuniy to civs specialized in land and sea warfare with both sides having the same resources and terrain. And throw in 2 or 3 city states for AI's that like to focus on those.
Drew u can check continent, u need to click a different map lens then click continents.

If you are going to do tournaments then make sure to give equal land and resources and start location to both. As for this series, do germany vs russia or germany vs poland.
