1:20 An Ice Age world would have roughly 25% more land mass. You would have to connect the British Isles to the mainland of Europe and Sweden as one land mass, and make the Indonesian, Spice Islands, and Guinea Islands part of a southern Asian subcontinent that almost connects to Australia. To make it simple, sea level would be about 150 ft lower world wide. Also, you would have to change Canada and Northern Europe into barren wasteland, since they would be under 1-3 miles of ice. On a positive note, Siberia would be a temperate and pleasant place.
"Flat Earth" with no Hills or Mountains, good pun too. Be a fairly normal game but everyone would move and discover each other very easily. Rivers between literally all land tiles? That one seems like it'd crash the game real good with it trying to name rivers as consistent entities.
Eh 1:19 just to inform you, the ice already present in the sea/ocean will not make the sea level rise when it melts; It is the ice from glaciers in antartica that are originally on land that make the sea level rise.
Do a civ 6 map where the north is super cold and icy while the south is all sand and desert. Then have the middle be a small ring of fertile land and the civs will all fight for this valuable land. Have the civs spawn either in the snow or desert so they have to migrate and fight their way to the fertile areas.
I can sadly agree. I love drew and his content but he's running out of juice. I just want him to sick to what he personally wants to do. If you're reading this drew just please follow your heart rather than the broken algorithm.
Actually, if they melted the ice they should be fine! Think of when you drop an ice cube (or anything) in water. The water rises as it is displaced by the thing you put in, so the thing you put in is already making the water level (or sea level in the ocean) higher. If it's ice, then nothing will happen when it melts, as the water is technically already in the ocean; its just in solid form instead of liquid! Just to cover all my bases, the reason that global warming still causes the sea levels to rise is not ice in the ocean, but ice on land falling into the ocean, which doesn't even need to melt to rise sea levels! When enough of a land glacier melts, large chunks of it fall into the ocean, rising the global sea level and warming the fallen chunks of ice up, melting them. This is why places like Antarctica and Greenland are of such great importance, because they hold large amounts of land-ice, which is the main concern for sea levels rising! So basically, while sea levels would rise from all the snow melting in this hypothetical world you've created, they would only rise from the ice on land melting, which, from what we can see, is minimal. This makes even more sense with what we see, as the coastlines are fairly similar to what we see in real life, indicating that the vast majority of frozen water is still in the ocean; something we see with the large swaths of glacial ice covering the world. DL;DR: Global Warming (to a limited degree) would be a win-win for the people of this world, and would do nothing but make the world more habitable (once again, to a limited degree.) My main concern for this world would be its cripplingly low biodiversity, as I presume most land and sea creatures have gone extinct due to how global this ice age is. (Can we get an F in the chat for basically all cold-blooded animals, as well as most birds, thin-coat mammals, and plants?) Fungus might be okay, but their main concern would be the lack of anything else to eat, though evergreen trees seem to be thriving in this world, so there is still hope for them both. The more you know!
Inverted Earth. All land tiles are sea tiles and all sea tiles are land tiles. There are maps out there that show how that would look. Probably really difficult to set up, but also probably very fun to watch.
How about a mountain Earth? There are two ways that I could see this going - either only the land on the coast doesn’t have mountains and anything inland is entirely mountains, or most, if not all land that borders the coast is mountain
Soo, what if there was a ice age until the industrial revolution, thats when the "Great Melt" started, until today, and now humanity wants to cover the story with "every 10 000 years theres a ice age"

You know, in an ice age, there’s usually a lot more exposed land. It’s like reverse global warming. That means stuff like Britain being reconnected with Europe, Java with the rest of Asia, and Siberia and Alaska connected with a land bridge. Would love to see something like that.
...that’s funny cause we’re still in the quaternary ice age despite the fact the ice is missing... also the entire tropical zone was completely undefeated.
