Always impressed when you can hear a bass part ring out from a single guitar. Now I see how simple that can be. Thanks again for a great lesson, Lauren!
Wow Lauren you make it so simple and easy to learn this strumming pattern: other teachers just TALK but you demonstrate and show every detail: TWO THUMBS UP and a high five!
This is what i have to learn for the Next Weeks. A lot of Work nur also a lot of fun. Thank you for this lesson and Greetings straight from my Heart . Stephan aus Hamburg Germany
Thank you Lauren for explaining what is ALTERNATING BASSLINES, God bless you Lauren and God bless to all viewers and subscribers of Lauren Bateman's channel.
Still watching laura bateman, wish i could get in you guitar school . You keep it simple, ive watched loads of video and they go on and oncand on, and show very little practical movements. Your great
Im 76 impaired vision and i wish i l lived in the usa i would beg you for lessons You make everything very clear. Because of photophobia i can't watch a Tv or Computer, just a little tablet. Ive stared to pick my guitar up after 40yrs. And as im irish i was raised on hank williams snd hank snow, love all country music but Now im trying to learn country strumming . You demonstrate the technique better thsn anyone. Cant madter it but i will kerp trying. Thank you.
Ive been playing for years but the rhythm strum that I learned were not this style. Way back in college, I took a course in playing. It was this style. You taught me more in 5 minutes than I learned in 5 months. Obviously the preknowledge of the chords and basic theory helped a lot but this lesson was straight forward and easy to understand. Any serious student would be playing well following your instructions.
Wow! Awesome! I love country music, and it's what made me want to play the guitar in the first place. Your tutorials are incredibly helpful! Thank you!
Great lesson, so much easier than I thought. How about a lesson incorporating not only bass line strumming but also include walk downs, walk ups, and melody lines like so many country and folk songs incorporate. A few that come to mind are Waltzing Matilda, Big Rock Candy Mountain, and even this Johnny Cash song. IMO folk and country music are great for beginners because of the repeating patterns, typically slower tempos, and great strumming patterns. Keep up the good work! Love it!
Afternoon, I have that song in c major, which uses the c7 chords the whole song. It's in whole time bright country 2 beat sheet music I'd play on the piano, and didn't realize about the alternating base line,so I never got how to play it on the guitar,so you can imagine how delighted I am,one of those aha moments, lol thanks
Great video lauren, loved this country strum, im working away on your seven level system but will definitly return to try this strum, my late father was a big country music fan.
Thank you so much Lauren ! I always want to learn (Country Strumming as beginner) . Thank you for give us choices (easy to harder) . You are a great Teacher . Take care .
Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰 As usual a great video from you😊 I was wondering if you could make one or more lessons about blues turn arounds or walkdowns in different keys?
WAW! I like very much Country Music too, but I haven't yet any Country Song in my "Repertoire"! I wasn't able to play untill now! I'll find one I most like and TRY!... 😁
I've watched this a half dozen times as I keep going going back to catch your tone. You haven't talked (that I've seen) about how to get the clear punchy and yet soft tone. I'm always impressed that you can explain the "art" of something in clear and concise techniques. Maybe you can do a lesson on how to get those clear tones with a flat pick that isn't overpowering the song... (Maybe part of it is that wonderful guitar... but it's got to be much more than that). Love your videos.
Yeah, I would probably use a bass pluck method. I think I go over that in my 2 fingerpicking patterns you must know videos. Search for it with my name.
Hi Lauren, I love country music and this was a great lesson. Miranda Lambert has a song out call "Tin Man" and I love this song and so want to learn it. Any chance of helping out with this song?
