This is about the only good video demo of this pedal I could find. Thanks Brett for knowing what a Plexi should sound like and knowing how to dial them in.
Great demo. I actually like the Super Bass side best! Catalinbread have made some of the best pedals I have ever had the good fortune to play. Not to mention, your new space looks & sounds great!
The line out is for those who want to use it as a preamp into a poweramp, or use it into a cab sim/IR loader (CAB M+, Cab Box, etc). It's all the rage with the kids these days (or those like me who don't want a heavy amp).
Hey Burgs I recently entered the digital realm with a mooer micro preamp 019, the Taxidea Taxus, its a JTM45 essentially. A profile of a Suhr Badger 35 which I believe is Suhrs modern recreation of a JTM.......and the JTM was a recreation of a Bassman so its all evolutionary, the circle of life😅
Man, they did all this but put the switch for the boost order inside the pedal…😮💨. I just order one of these and I didn't really bother looking where the switch was, not that it would have had any impact on where I bought it or not, but still. What's worse is that it's RIGHT there at the edge of PCB, they could have just put it on the side and ran flying leads to the board. 🤷 TF? It appears that the added phase inverter and output transformer only really comes into play of you're running from the Line Out, if you're using the normal output I think it's just working like the normal DLS, just with the added features. It might work with the boost as well, I can't really tell from that shot.
They should have come out with this years ago when the DLS mkiii was at the height of its popularity and everyone was complaining about the SB/SL switch and presence control being inside the pedal. Nobody is going to pay $299 USD for this.
I think for the kind of money they are asking for this pedal, the order switch should have been on the outside. No reason for it to be this expensive. They've barely changed the functionality. Nice demo though.
Lol they added a boost circuit with footswitch, put mode and presence controls on the outside, a line out, and an actual transformer. Hardly ‘barely changed functionality’.
Only newbs would confuse the DLS with a digital pedal. After ten or so years, we all know that it's using JFET's to reproduce or mimic a tube response. He used the terms in context.

The Presence knob is the extra added one, the previous version had the Presence control option inside like the SB/SL switch
Thanks Brett! Best review on this pedal out there and nice playing by the way. Love your channel and all you do for the guitar community. 🤟🏼✌🏻
Love your playing Brett.
Your playing is clean as hell man!
Thanks!
The DEMO KING is back!!!!😀
Dam that's a cool pedal, nice tweek-ible options, you make it sing Brett 🎸🙏
Love it!!
Still love your Prashant Charvel.

Always stellar but your backing track is like Steely Dan meets Mark Ronson!! And that's a good thing.
Is that an actual song in the first 1 minute 13 sec? Awesome. What its it called?
Great pedal and review Burgs! Wow, 460 Aussie shmackeroonies, ouch.
❤absolutely classic sound

yeah too bad you can't boost both before and after distortion for your leads 😢
So you have moved to a larger room; needed for all that gear I suppose.

Great demo but you keep saying ‘modelling’ and ‘virtual’- this is an all analog circuit, nothing digital about it.

@@solomonsanchez1897 Yes exactly, my comment was for the 'newbs' who may not be as enlightened as you are.
