A cockatoo well cared for can live for up to 60 years so these 2 will still be friends for a very long time.
I love all domesticated animals but there's something so special about knowing an animal from when you were born to when you're potentially a parent /grandparent yourself
They can live longer than that sometimes.
Imagine a bond so strong.
They can live up to 90-something; their lifespan is basically the same as humans. It's just that humans tend to seek out medical care as soon as they feel something is off.
The best way to teach a child empathy and compassion: a beloved pet sibling.. Bless this sweet family.

Siblings? An animal is an animal and not a human being. An animal has different needs and behaviors than a human. But sometimes people don't want to see that.

The wonderful thing is that this boy won‘t lose his beloved companion when he becomes a teenager like other kids who grow up with animals like dogs or cats. He‘ll have Marnie by his side for a very long time way into his adult life. How wonderful❤

Once Marni figured out that Remi was an easy source of food, and also likes to play, that was all he needed to decide he was ok with having a human brother. lol. It’s cute to watch the two play. Cockatoos have tte intelligence of a young child, so it makes sense that they get along so well.
In captivity a cockatoo can live from 50 to 70 yo. So if nothing bad happens (like an illness) they are on for a long ride together.

This kid has no idea the journey with this bird he will have. They live 70-100 years. He will if all goes well share his entire life with his buddy.
Those buggers can live for 40 - 60 years. My grandpa had one for 48 years. They're gonna be together a long time.
Love your two kids Rémi and Marni. When Rémi becomes a licensed driver, Marni can be his co pilot. Cockatoos have a long lifespan so Marni will have a lot of years as Rémi’s ‘brother’.

That is a really good Cockatoo!! It's crazy to think that Remy can potentially have Marni in his life well into his adult years. It's also important to know that not all cockatoos are this tolerant, can be hormonal, and have a wicked bite! They are technically wild animals and need SO much interaction. Love this video- just please don't go out and get a parrot based on cute videos!!!

I love how Matni scratched her baby bump when she was pregnant with her son Remi, but jealous once Remi "hatched"/ the stork brought him over😹. I especially, adore how childlike, inquisitive, mischievous rambunctious & adorable Marni the cockatoo is. Marni will remain an intelligent high IQ toddler for upwards of 60 years or so, sounds like a demanding, high maintenance, exhausting, but rewarding, worthwhile, fun, beautiful & loving six decades or so.🦜🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼😻😍🥰😘♥️

What I like is the bond they formed. Because of the birds lifespan, many times they outlive their owners and go somewhere they don't know and it's so sad. This bird won't have that experience since he will have your son to go to that he loves. In the meantime he has a loving mom and now a brother to grow old with❤

I had a cockatoo in my life for 20 years my bird introduce me when I was a kid the term “Smoke weed” lmao sadly my cockatoo Blanca had a stroke in the middle of the night she was still moving but the vet told me that the lights are on but no one is home. This video made me tear up and reminded me when she left this world on March 23rd 2017. She was 38 years old
